Read Patti's book, Wonderful Tonight, and really enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. She really was not quite the groupie one would have thought but, rather, just a lovely English girl who happened into unusual circumstances.
Boyd had a brief affair with Ronnie Wood in 1973 before she left Harrison for Clapton. She obviously had a thing for guitar players...legend guitar players!
PLUS---- it says in an OFFICIAL magazine (Rolling Stone) that John Lennon and Mick Jagger both tried to "woo" her. It's freakin unbelievable. She's like------ idk.
oh please, look at pamela courson and especially KIM MCLAGAN; you will be stunned by HER beauty. or i don't know.. annette walter-lax, also very pretty. (keith moon obviously had the best taste in women.)
Patti Boyd blew all 4 Beatles, all 5 Stones, all 4 whos, all 5 Kinks, all 5 Herman Hermits all sucked the Cream out of all 3 members of Cream.Patti Boyd should have been inducted to the XXX Porn wing of the Rock N Roll hall of fame with Sweet Sweet Connie,Pamela DeBarres,Cynthia Paster Caster and all the other whores.
I want to meet Pattie because I have been listening to Beatles Music since about 1965 and Clapton since about 1975. Something is probably my favorite Beatles song and Layla is my number one all time song. Given that i was a dj in college in the 80s and have thousands of songs in my collection it is saying a lot. So I guess it would be cool to meet the lady who inspired two songs that means so much to me (and never get bored of listening to.) Have played them both many times on guitar too,
@fsanf164 Well the worst thing probably is that he cheated on her with several women (even with Ringo's wife Maureen) and he even didn't care that Pattie knew about his affairs. She also said that George just didn't communicate with her and he was devoured by drugs and all that Indian stuff and meditations so there wasn't a normal healthy relationship between them. Of course I'm not saying that Pattie is saint and that it was all George's fault but I think that I can understand why she left him
One day George went into a tirade after seeing Pattie with Eric for the first time & shoved her into his car & drove off. Eric was madly in love with Pattie since he laid eyes on her & wrote the song "Layla" for her. George admitted he fell for Pattie becuase she looked like Bridget Bardot (John Lennon had a big crush on Bridget as well). That prooves no one is perfect. Rest In Peace John Lennon & George Harrison. Music ICONS!!!!!!!!.
Pattie is definitely the sexiest of the Beatle wives. People shouldn't blame Eric Clapton for stealing Pattie from George. Pattie wasn't allowed to have a career, she wanted kids but George didn't & George was cheating on her with every pretty face he encountered plus George was in love with Maureen Cox & told her that right in front of Ringo & Pattie (They even slept together which led to Ringo & Maureen's divorce).
If you think about it, these two married at 21 and 22. It's really easy to make mistakes at that age. They were the most gorgeous couple of the 60's, and I remember those newspapers with the headline "Genius married doll" at the day of the wedding. They really were the genius and the doll. Very sweet couple who loved each other so much that they split amicably and helped each other after their split with whatever problems were going on.
"Everyone dreams of being rich and famous. However, once you're that, you find out that that's not it. I mean, I thought to myself, "If this is what it's like, then I don't want it". There's still something missing. And you start to search for something else. And it took me a long time to find out what it was".
Pattie seems a flirtatious. However, I think she deeply loved George as she said. She said he was the main person who had an effect on her life. She had a difficult childhood starting from when she was abandoned by her mother, and so that might explain why it was hard for her to maintain a marriage, when things weren't perfect in their marriage. George fell in love with her at first sight. He didn't forget her afterwards.
It's interesting how pattie talks about how george often needed to isolate himself to hear the music playing in his head. in order to live with this kind of person, you need to have so much patience. pattie probably realized she can never do, even though she loved george very much. george also realized he needed someone else for a partner and suggested they split a year before they actually did split. However, they always had a soft spot for each other. You can tell.
It's sad that this couple had to split. They really did love each other. They often communicated with each other after the divorce. pattie was upset with george marrying olivia. she probably wanted to reunite with him!
Another thing I don't get is that Pattie explains that she was deeply hurt by George's affair with Maureen. While it was mean to do that on George's side, at the same time she was having affair with Eric, George's CLOSEST friend. She's the one who started the whole thing, and I don't see how she doesn't realize that the whole Maureen thing was just a way for George to get back at her for cheating with his best friend. It's sooo obvious, yet Pattie doesn't seem to realize that. George was hurt.
yeah, george did cheat first, but it's not like he was going to leave pattie for anyone. it was more like one night stands. that's completely different than cheating on your best friend. also just because your husband cheats, does not give you the right to cheat also. it's sort of hypocritical of pattie to criticize pattie, when she was no angel and was constantly flirtatious with other men (according to tony bromwell here).
your right about the fact that two wrongs don't make a right, but to me i don't see the difference whether its a one night stand or an emotional affair, cheating is cheating. george also had an affair with maureen, which was one of pattie's good friends. george also betrayed ringo by doing that. she wasnt really criticizing george, she just stated what he did and you can tell she was heartbroken over it, so she went with eric (not that it was the right thing to do)

you're right. however, george had an affair with maureen after pattie was already involved with eric. I think he was just trying to teach pattie a lesson, even though that was wrong. However, I do not think the cheating was the reason for their break-up. pattie knew what she was getting herself into. she knew women were throwing themselves at george, so it seems a little strange for me to hear that she was surprised that he had one night stands with other women... just saying...
I agree that George was no angel. However, I remember Pattie mentioning that the marriage problems began after George knew that Eric liked her. She states herself that he may have tried to get her jealous with other women to win her back from Eric, because he knew they were having an affair. I think the main point was that George was growing musically and emotionally, while Pattie seemed interested only in parties. George realized he needed a more intellectual partner. That's all.
@riddinghood3 what? lol where are you getting this from? did you read patties autobiography? they were having problems before eric. george was always ignoring her and became obsessed with hinduism, meditating and chanting(to the point that was a bit out of hand), and when he wasnt doing that he was always away at the studio. when eric was around eric and pattie just talk and a bit of harmless flirting. all the parties wasn't pattie's idea, that just went along with being with a rock star..
Look, I'm just saying that all your sources come from Pattie's autobiography. Of course she will make herself look more innocent. I'm just saying that the cheating wasn't really the main reason why they broke up, because she knew even before they got married that women were throwing themselves at George. I think George developed a lot during those years. He worked a lot, and he realized he needed a partner know was more serious and not just interested in partying.
If you need a source, read Tony bramwell beatles biography. It paints Pattie as a constant flirt. He says that she would go clubbing, and George would call her from home and beg her to come home. I can give you the references and the page numbers. I'm not siding on George's side. I'm just saying I understand him, when he said that he and pattie should have broken it off years before, because they were interested in completely different lifestyles.
I'm sure Pattie is a nice person. There are just some things I don't get about her. She complains about the behavior of Eric (and she has the right to), but, you know, she could have just left at any moment and gotten herself a job and supported herself like any woman would, so I don't really feel sorry for her. I also wish she should have not written a book- it shows disrespect to the privacy of George and his family. It actually really hurt Olivia.
i think i am more on team george here. after his divorce he found the love of his life, spend more than 20 years with her (by all accounts, it was an ideal marriage), and sired a son. pattie spend years with eric (who was an alcoholic)- she could have gotten herself a job and lived a more sane life. yet, she wanted the money...
queenyoko! i'm sure you got it right. the women were never a reason they broke up. they had tension long before the women with their beliefs conflicting and george hiding in the studio working and meditating. pattie was a flirt herself, so it seems a little hypocritical of her to expect fidelity from george, when she flirted with john lennon at one party. what did she expect? women THREW themselves at them. no man can handle that much pressure, however wrong the behavior might be.
I feel that people don't understand that they married very young. People are still growing intellectually at that time and are very likely to do silly things. At the end of the day, George became among the greatest musicians ever (he's still underrated even now!) and a patron of many charities. Pattie herself started some of her own, so these people found themselves at the end of what must have been hard times for both of them?
I always amazed me how George and Eric managed to remain friends. I saw one documentary, and the answer was that they appreciated each other's talents so much that there was no woman who could come in between. However, Olivia remains George's true love, even though you never forget your first.
I think Pattie always regretted ending her marriage with George. She has states MANY TIMES she did not decide to end her marriage- she just knew it was impossible to continue. Both of them figured out that eventually. George was always very serious, and Pattie seemed in need of a playful companion. And George understood that, and he was actually the first person to suggest they split. And that's why George and Eric always got along. George knew Eric needed Pattie more than he needed her.
I was appalled at what a horrible person Eric was in her book. However, George came off extremely nicely in the book. Besides him acting like a silly boy sometimes, he was described as being very caring and thoughtful throughout the marriage and very focused on the music. I think that's where they clashed. He needed a serious person like Olivia who would be able to suit him intellectually.
She and Olivia didn't get along at first- in fact, Pattie was extremely upset, when George married Olivia, because she was hoping of a reunion. After George's death, Olivia and Pattie started to help each other after the loss of a loved one.
one person asked her, "Do you think they would be together, if they had children?", and she signed and said that there would have been a basis for them to go upon.
she also said some interesting things about george- he would often go to the studio at night and be always looking to do something creative. he would wake up in the middle of the night with a song and then play in in his house.
there are certain rumors going around that have to be cleared up:
1) Neither Pattie nor George really wanted the marriage to end, but there are instances where people cannot live with each other for whatever reason.
2) George even said to her back in 1972- "Let's get a divorce this year". He knew they were doing things differently and wanted to break up. It took Pattie quite a bit more time to realize it was over, and soon she did and then went to Eric on a tour.
Neither of men wanted the marriage to end!! I can't believe the things I'm reading here, which aren't true. It caused both of them to go into depression. They just realized they couldn't live together. They had such opposite character!!
queenyokoono (above)! that's not true!! the real problems started after Pattie tried to get George's attention with Ron Wood, as Pattie said herself. After that, George started going 24/7 to the studio and going to other women, since he no longer felt that he had a responsibility to remain faithful. Anyway, George's music's the best!!!!!
They always had love for each other, even if wasn't the kind of love George has for Olivia. I think, if they had children, it would have worked out. Sadly Pattie is infertile.
When Pattie started going with Ron Wood and then with Eric, George got withdrawn and didn't try to save his marriage. It all started from there..
George is a genius. It's very hard to live with a genius, as Pattie states. She said that creative people often are emerged in their own world and ignore other people. Pattie was trying to save the marriage by trying to get George jealous. However, that ended up making George angry and even more withdrawn. It's so sad it didn't work out.
Pattie states she was always thankful for George for taking care of her after the divorce. He invited her to Dhani's birthday party. He gave her money and gifts. She said George remains the love of her life, and she said he was the most caring person to her and her parents. How many men would do that for their ex-wives?
I think George was an extremely introspective man. He liked to be alone in his studio with his fellow musicians. Pattie wanted to party all the time and have fun. They just didn't go together, and even though they loved each other, they soon figured it they were not made for each other. Eventually, George found the love of his life Olivia.
queenyokono, I think it's hard to judge George like that. He has gone through enough by watching Pattie with her best friend. That's when all the problems started, according to her. Once George knew Pattie was with Eric, he no longer felt the responsibility to be faithful. Little did he know that Pattie was just trying to get him jealous (by her own words). Both of them were at fault for their divorce.
Pattie is a sweet woman. She always loved George. Like the documentary said, "The problem between her and George wasn't any woman. George no longer felt any connection to her." Their interests didn't match. However, the love was always there. Pattie stated that she has always loved George. She considers George to be the love of her life."
queenyokono, I think Pattie brought it upon herself. She was always flirtatious with other men. Have you ever thought that she might have provoked George's affairs by getting on with his best friend? What husband would be able to take it? He took her in, earned millions for her. She should have shown him more respect. He knew the marriage was over and wanted Pattie to pay the price and feel the pain he did.
I LOVE her !!. she is my choice out of all the women, accumalated = by being in relationships with any member the beatles ...I would need no other. nor .would have 2 look at another. she sums up my dreamwomen into 1..... oh,. how .my heart acheth 4 her .
@awhofan1 All one can assume is that George and Olivia were meant to be together. It is good to know that Pattie and Olivia are good friends. Olivia is also American which is a good thing.
Some of you are saying she just left George, that's not true. Her and George were both having affairs and she wasn't happy with George because his religious practices were making him different.
Pattie is over-rated... Yoko was John's true love and I don't kow why everyone likes Pattie so much... Honestly, she's a man. I made a video about it... It's on my page.
also people stop being so rude saying that she had sex with all 4 beatles.. lies lies lies lies. well i think.
its rumored that john had a bit of a liking to her, but they did not sleep together- and neither did she sleep with paul, or ringo
and people are so horrid saying that shes a tranny ect. your just jealous beacause she was so beautiful and george loved her to bits- cant you imagine the hardship she got in the 60s for going out with george?! she used to get sent hate letters ect.

She's trouble for anybody (guy) who hangs with her. It's like a jinx. Stay clear and let her fester on her own. Maybe she could find a nice chick ... Both she and the guys would be bettr off.
This just so great , wow, the whole mixing together of the images, of course the great Harrison (Beatles) song, and the video, all is magnificent including Patty, yup she was so cute.
Yeah.......George and Olivia are a much better couple, and another thing.....Olivia never seemed to have the intention to run off and marry George's best friend. R.I.P George, we all miss you!
@Live4Beatles Don't need to know her. It's all out there in black & white... Are you defending her honor? Let me let you in on a little secret: She has none-

If you listen to the lyrics written for Pattie:
"You don't realize how much I need you. Love you all the time and never leave you".
"Something in the way she moves attracts me like no other lover"
"Because you're sweet and lovely girl, I love you."
"I loved you from the moment I saw you, you looked at me that's all you had to do".
"With your long blond hair and your eyes of blue, you're too much"
He must have really loved her!

@riddinghood3 what? lol where are you getting this from? did you read patties autobiography? they were having problems before eric. george was always ignoring her and became obsessed with hinduism, meditating and chanting(to the point that was a bit out of hand), and when he wasnt doing that he was always away at the studio. when eric was around eric and pattie just talk and a bit of harmless flirting. all the parties wasn't pattie's idea, that just went along with being with a rock star..
livvy177 1 year ago
@riddinghood3 people were always at there house so pattie never had alone time with george
livvy177 1 year ago
@livvy177
He worked a lot, and he realized he needed a partner know was more serious and not just interested in partying.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
@livvy177
If you need a source, read Tony bramwell beatles biography. It paints Pattie as a constant flirt. He says that she would go clubbing, and George would call her from home and beg her to come home. I can give you the references and the page numbers. I'm not siding on George's side. I'm just saying I understand him, when he said that he and pattie should have broken it off years before, because they were interested in completely different lifestyles.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
@livvy177
sorry, one last thing. I don't think it was just harmless flirting between eric and pattie. I read a
story, when George found Pattie and Eric walking down the street, holding hands. He shouted
at Pattie and dragged her in the car. It was never the same between them again. It wouldn't
have worked. George was much too serious for her anyway.

It actually really hurt Olivia.

riddinghood3 1 year ago
i think i am more on team george here. after his divorce he found the love of his life, spend more than 20 years with her (by all accounts, it was an ideal marriage), and sired a son. pattie spend years with eric (who was an alcoholic)- she could have gotten herself a job and lived a more sane life. yet, she wanted the money...
riddinghood3 1 year ago
queenyoko! i'm sure you got it right. the women were never a reason they broke up. they had tension long before the women with their beliefs conflicting and george hiding in the studio working and meditating. pattie was a flirt herself, so it seems a little hypocritical of her to expect fidelity from george, when she flirted with john lennon at one party. what did she expect? women THREW themselves at them. no man can handle that much pressure, however wrong the behavior might be.

riddinghood3 1 year ago
I feel that people don't understand that they married very young. People are still growing intellectually at that time and are very likely to do silly things. At the end of the day, George became among the greatest musicians ever (he's still underrated even now!) and a patron of many charities. Pattie herself started some of her own, so these people found themselves at the end of what must have been hard times for both of them?
riddinghood3 1 year ago
I always amazed me how George and Eric managed to remain friends. I saw one documentary, and the answer was that they appreciated each other's talents so much that there was no woman who could come in between. However, Olivia remains George's true love, even though you never forget your first.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
I think Pattie always regretted ending her marriage with George. She has states MANY TIMES she did not decide to end her marriage- she just knew it was impossible to continue. Both of them figured out that eventually. George was always very serious, and Pattie seemed in need of a playful companion. And George understood that, and he was actually the first person to suggest they split. And that's why George and Eric always got along. George knew Eric needed Pattie more than he needed her.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
I was appalled at what a horrible person Eric was in her book. However, George came off extremely nicely in the book. Besides him acting like a silly boy sometimes, he was described as being very caring and thoughtful throughout the marriage and very focused on the music. I think that's where they clashed. He needed a serious person like Olivia who would be able to suit him intellectually.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
She and Olivia didn't get along at first- in fact, Pattie was extremely upset, when George married Olivia, because she was hoping of a reunion. After George's death, Olivia and Pattie started to help each other after the loss of a loved one.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
Pattie's favorite photo is one of George in India. She says that's how she will remember him.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
one person asked her, "Do you think they would be together, if they had children?", and she signed and said that there would have been a basis for them to go upon.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
she also said some interesting things about george- he would often go to the studio at night and be always looking to do something creative. he would wake up in the middle of the night with a song and then play in in his house.

She was just 21 when she got married!!
riddinghood3 1 year ago
there are certain rumors going around that have to be cleared up:
1) Neither Pattie nor George really wanted the marriage to end, but there are instances where people cannot live with each other for whatever reason.
2) George even said to her back in 1972- "Let's get a divorce this year". He knew they were doing things differently and wanted to break up. It took Pattie quite a bit more time to realize it was over, and soon she did and then went to Eric on a tour.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
yes, i also got a chance to talk to her privately. she said george and her
split amicably. it's amazing? that george had remained friends with eric
after eric and pattie humiliated him, but pattie says george and eric?
respected each other's genius, and that's what in the end wins the day.
they parted amicably, but remained close until death. pattie said she
used to hate olivia for taking away her George with who she was hoping to
get together again!!!
riddinghood3 1 year ago
pattie!!! I met her, and she was very nice. she talked a lot about george,
and almost none about eric. i figured she must love george a lot. she
said that she should not have cheated on george and regrets doing so,
even though both george and her made mistakes. They? got married really
young, like? 21 and 22, and pattie makes a good impression of george in her
book, who, even though he was quite crazy about work and life in general,
was a nice person in the end.
riddinghood3 1 year ago
Us guys are daft or what !!!?
ferraridinoman 1 year ago
that's not true queenyokono!! (above).
Neither of men wanted the marriage to end!! I can't believe the things I'm reading here, which aren't true. It caused both of them to go into depression. They just realized they couldn't live together. They had such opposite character!!
riddinghood3 1 year ago
queenyokoono (above)! that's not true!! the real problems started after Pattie tried to get George's attention with Ron Wood, as Pattie said herself. After that, George started going 24/7 to the studio and going to other women, since he no longer felt that he had a responsibility to remain faithful. Anyway, George's music's the best!!!!!
riddinghood3 1 year ago
They always had love for each other, even if wasn't the kind of love George has for Olivia. I think, if they had children, it would have worked out. Sadly Pattie is infertile.
When Pattie started going with Ron Wood and then with Eric, George got withdrawn and didn't try to save his marriage. It all started from there..
riddinghood3 1 year ago
George is a genius. It's very hard to live with a genius, as Pattie states. She said that creative people often are emerged in their own world and ignore other people. Pattie was trying to save the marriage by trying to get George jealous. However, that ended up making George angry and even more withdrawn. It's so sad it didn't work out.
adjaodjadf 1 year ago
Pattie states she was always thankful for George for taking care of her after the divorce. He invited her to Dhani's birthday party. He gave her money and gifts. She said George remains the love of her life, and she said he was the most caring person to her and her parents. How many men would do that for their ex-wives?
adjaodjadf 1 year ago
I think George was an extremely introspective man. He liked to be alone in his studio with his fellow musicians. Pattie wanted to party all the time and have fun. They just didn't go together, and even though they loved each other, they soon figured it they were not made for each other. Eventually, George found the love of his life Olivia.
adjaodjadf 1 year ago
queenyokono, I think it's hard to judge George like that. He has gone through enough by watching Pattie with her best friend. That's when all the problems started, according to her. Once George knew Pattie was with Eric, he no longer felt the responsibility to be faithful. Little did he know that Pattie was just trying to get him jealous (by her own words). Both of them were at fault for their divorce.
adjaodjadf 1 year ago
Pattie is a sweet woman. She always loved George. Like the documentary said, "The problem between her and George wasn't any woman. George no longer felt any connection to her." Their interests didn't match. However, the love was always there. Pattie stated that she has always loved George. She considers George to be the love of her life."
adjaodjadf 1 year ago
queenyokono, I think Pattie brought it upon herself.
