  • That was great

  • Was that a Keltec 380?

  • @sky12066sed3 No, just a tiny .25 ACP.

  • That's some mighty fine pickin' there, brother man.

  • @neckshredder1 lol thats indeed mighty fine pickin!

  • try learning the kazoo!!

  • @fourstringsful Since I already play Banjo, Kazooie should go well with it! Lol, you set me up for that video game joke there! :)

  • you certainly a great banjo player :)

  • @noplacetohideo Thank you very much, I still got to improve a lot, and I mean a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it though. It'll get better with time.

  • This is too awesome!

  • I love the back ground to this one. That blue grass music fits right in.

  • i live in mobile and this is my favorite video on the internet.

  • @colludexcabal Thank you, bubba! That's a very nice thing to say, and I'm glad I was able to entertain y'all with them videos. Big howdy to you good folks in L.A. (Lower Alabama, of course)!!! :)

  • @rebelboysteve My ex-girlfriend used to go to the ECCC where we lived, they're purdy good. There's also Ole Miss and State, so there's a pretty good selection of colleges down there. Life in Mississippi is simple, laid-back and very pleasant, I'd say go for it!

  • On HWY 25 / 15 near Louisville, if you're going north, turn left (east) on HWY 14 and follow that road, then turn right on Rural Dempsey Rd, and if you keep on the left, it will turn into Dempsey Rd. On that stretch of road, before you get to Dempsey/Kennedy Rd, you'll pass by a taxidermist on the right, 2 houses on the left, then 2 houses on the right, then one house alone on the left. After the last house, there's a rusty gate and a dirt road on the left. That trail leads to the pond.

  • where's that creek at, im from winston, out on old 25.

  • YEE HAW!

  • @MSfeller good job on the pickin' that's the coolest lookin' banjo I've ever seen. Keep the great videos comin' can't wait to see more

  • That's it. You are my new favorite person! How are you not famous?

  • @RachelQJensen LOL, thank you, ma'am! :)

  • @MSfeller I know that pond, caught a big gator outa there last yr.

  • @coolairaz I knew and heard 'bout the ponds that had gators, but it never crossed my mind gators might could live on that one! Do you live in Louisville?

  • @MSfeller Just kidding, it looks like a pond I've seen in North Louisiana. Didn't have any gators though.

  • @coolairaz LOL :)

  • Hey man you rock! I've watched all your vids and your real good. I just started pickin a few weeks ago and its comin along great, workin on this song too!

My grandpa and some of his relations were born and raised up yonder in Corinth, kinda near you, and I got family down the road in Tupelo.

    Happy Pickin'

  • @XxWINxX94 Well, thank you very much! Yeah, I know Corinth, it ain't far from where I grew up, Guntown, right by Tupelo in Lee County. I left Louisville a while back, I live in Scotland now, in the Highlands. It's nice here too, even though I will always miss home. I wish you luck on your pickin', and I'm glad you're having fun, that's what pickin' is all about. Happy Pickin' to you too, thanks for stopping by.

  • @MSfeller Just curious, what caused you to move to Scotland from the US? Jobs, family?

  • @shal0mnurh0me Yeah, it's very complex. Several things though. Personal problems, serious ones, kinda out of my control. Other reasons why I ain't coming back is that the economy is bad, politics are even worse, and I ain't had much there either. On the good side, I've always been a great admirer of Scotland. And it is also the land of my ancestors, and it's been pretty interesting to get in touch and personal with my heritage and history, back to my roots. I love it here, really. It's home now.

  • @MSfeller Wow, must be pretty exciting. Is there any old time/bluegrass going on over there? I know they have some great traditional fiddle/bagpipe tunes.

  • @shal0mnurh0me Yeah, there's a pub called Hootananny here and they play traditional Scottish / Celtic music every single night, live. I befriended the musician there that plays the hell out of the Irish tenor banjo. Fiddle is always being played there too. It's awesome! I played a couple of songs on my banjo there one night, just for fun. And there's always someone playing bagpipes on the streets here, nearly everyday, beautiful thing to hear, same thing for the fiddle street performers.

  • GOOD STUFF

  • @coydiddy Yeah, I miss that spot, buddy. I'm very political, but like you said, this here is more about music and no drama... even the Germans and Americans took a break once to sing in woods during battle, and music is just that, it brings people together regardless of their differences, and it has happened here to me. I appreciate you taking a stand for me, man. Will never forget, keep the pride alive and God save the South.

  • dude, awesome ? + the endeing is great

  • dude, awesome ?

  • great song, the end is funny :P

  • That's great, you keep the flow of the tune amazingly without breaking the rhythm once!

And where is this you are playing? It's amazingly beautiful. And I laughed at the end shot :P

I wish I could go there!

  • I approve this.

  • I'm relieved, lol! When I saw your name there I thought that you would leave something like "f*** you, redneck" or something, but you surprised me. Thank you very much. I will send you a friend request and I deeply appreciate you stopping by. Merry Christmas!

  • where was this shot? great scenery

  • Thanks. Yeah, it was a very nice spot, I used to go there to relax. It is a 200 acre property of pure backwoods off Dempsey Road, in rural Louisville, Mississippi. The sad thing is that the owner passed away recently, and his sons, city folk, who apparently live out of state, will sell the land and the most probable buyers would be lumber companies. That means that all those beautiful backwoods will be flattened to the ground for timber. It's a shame, we used to get free firewood, hunt deer, etc

  • yea, that is a shame. makes me miss the summer time looking at it

  • One of my favorite Blue Grass tunes, great pickin!

  • Thank you very much, Clay. You're a very nice feller and I appreciate your compliments! Hope everything is fine your way.

  • You to buddy, yes sir all is well had a great Thanksgiving I hope you & yours did too. Please keep the great pickin and daily life videos of "our" culture comin like the Redneck snow one, I laughed my butt off. i'm hopin to get a video cam around Christmas so maybe I can do a vid or three. God Bless you and yours and our Beloved Dixie!

  • Thank you, bud! Yep, I had a very nice Thanksgiving, glad you did too! You got it, mister, I will always keep them videos a-comin', one way or another! Looking forward to watch your videos, God bless Dixie and God bless you too, bubba!

  • This is AMAZING!!! FREEE BIIIIIRD!!!!

    -$later

  • I've got a place in the woods here, looks exactly like the one in this video! it's called ''De Oude Zon'' translation = The Old Sun. I go there many times to BBQ and drink with my best friend. Love this vid!

  • YEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAWW!!!

  • Excellent video!

  • Great video great show and when you shoot that gun it was indeed a killer...yehaaaaaaa...5***** I like the creativity you have in your vids.

  • Thank you VERY much and may God bless you!!!

  • You lucky son of a gun! Get to run through that muddy water and shoot your gun! Man I wish I could do that. I have to pay big money to go shoot my gun at indoor range after I fill out about 3 pages of paper work and drive 20 miles to get there. I only get to play in that muddy water when I go see my cousins further up north in Iowa on that muddy river. Man I love drinking a cold one floating in that water. Thats what I call some fun times.

  • My future wife moved down here to Mississippi from Wisconsin. The first culture shock to her was the fact that out here, all you need to do to shoot your guns is go to your backyard, put up some targets and shoot as long as you want. All the neighbors here shoot guns all the time, it's completely normal. It ain't like that where she came from either. I'm glad that way down here, we have freedom to own, carry and shoot our guns inside our private property. I will be uploading shooting videos soon

  • That's really good, MSfeller.

  • Thank you very much, AlabamaSoldier! Hope everything is fine with y'all in good ol' Bama!

  • Oh, we're getting along. Elections are coming up soon. We gotta find someone to fill Bob Riley's shoes, which won't be easy.

  • I keep reading all of the description things saying you're trying to improve your speed.

The way I learned to pick fast was just stop resting my arm on the body of it and just let my fingers just hang there. Completely relaxed and just tried to pick the hell out of it. I got it in about 2 weeks. Just a little advice if you haven't gotten there yet.

You do sound really good though. Nice and smooth!

  • I hear ya, sometimes, when I'm trying too hard, my fingers get tense and the whole thing gets worse! I also get nervous whenever I'm recording a video and I usually make mistakes that I wouldn't make while pickin' just for fun. You're darn right. A personal question, are you, or were you a Marine stationed in Germany? I used to live there, in Hanau, near Frankfurt, where I worked at the Wolfgang Community Center (US base) and them Germans used to call me "Amerikaner" all the time. Thanks, bud.

  • Same here. Then I just laugh at myself and keep going. But as long as you have fun keep on doing it. Well, born and raised in Virginia. Got stationed in Germany with the Marines, done my time (Sachsen-Anhalt), went back and forth to Iraq. After that, I joined up with Bundeswehr. I'm on my last year with that so I should be moving back to the states. Haha, I never had an accent in my German or Dutch so I never got called that.

    Do you speak German?

  • Oh cool, man! Well, I did have lots of fun there. I used to work at the Popeyes inside the base. Made some good German friends too. Nope, working with the Americans 24/7, I didn't have a chance to learn German. Other than "eine Cola, bitte" and casual greetings, I don't speak squad! If I had stayed a little longerm perhaps I would have, because I was beginning to understand what the subject was when they were speaking German around me. I drunk a lot of warm beer there! Thanks for serving the USA

  • Yeah, them German people are much more honest and accepting then some of these big city folk in the US. Ah I see.

Yeah German is much like the English.

    Thank you sir!

  • that is SO awesome :D

  • Hey that was really good playing. I like it.

  • You are really good! 5*

    Gretsch'n

  • Super job Mike!

  • Thank you, my friend, your comment is always deeply appreciated. Hope you'll have a wonderful year ahead of ya! :)

  • where in mississippi do you live

  • I live in Central-East Mississippi, not too far from Columbus or Meridian. Are you from Mississippi too?

  • yeah i live same area bout 30min west meridian right off 20. Ever hear bout any jams You should let me know

  • Thanks, I'm glad y'all liked it! Hahaha, yeah, that moth was certainly curious about that camera! It's full of bugs out yonder, especially in the summer.

  • PLEASE tell me where you got that banjo head...i want one of them. thanks.

  • Well, I was in the same position a while ago, when I looked everywhere and researched online to find a banjo head with a Rebel flag on it, like sometimes they have the guitars, but unfortunately I came up with nothing. Apparently, they don't sell those. However, you can do it yourself. All you need is spray paint, tape and a little bit of patience. Stay tuned, I plan on making a video about that particular matter later on, it's a lot easier to understand if you watch it. But yeah, it's a DIY job

  • very good. especially loved the banjo and the ending

  • Great Banjo, I love it. I play the 5 string banjo too and trying to learn the tenor banjo.

Bluegrass is #1 and part of our Heritage. Bluegrass takes away the stress of this Godless communist multiracial nightmare we live in. Southern Nationalism Forever, with No Retreat, No Surrender, and No Apology

  • Thanks a million! 101% with you there, MrReb2U! Deo Vindice, God bless the South and NO apologies! God bless you.

  • Wow! Great job MSfeller! Keep up the good work!

  • Now y'all, I will be offline for about a month or so, then I will be back for good, hopefully with new videos. Meanwhile, y'all hang in there, if your comment is not approved immediately, it will be once I get back here, okay? Thank you very much for all the nice comments, I'll see all y'all later. God bless!

  • Sounds great! So much progress since the first videos! I am really liking your thematic elements in the video. You're a clever man.

  • Wow that sounded really good! You have made a lot of progress! I remember your first banjo videos. Your thematic elements in this video are so choice, friend. You are a clever man. My mom was raised in Goodman and Jackson but I was born and raised way up here in NJ about 1500 miles from you.

  • This guy is hard-core redneck! Awesome, man!

  • Choice. That setting just made the piece !

  • Brilliant!

  • There wasnt any cottonmouths nipping at yer toes?!

    Great vid MSFeller

5 of those thingies for ya

  • Very cool to see tonight! Great job! big smiles here:) I was going to say Ye Ha..but you said it for me:) 5*****

  • LOL That's the way to do it!

  • As long as you have 6 fingers and a thumb, makin money shouldn't be hard with talent like yours.

  • Sounding good.

  • nice finally!

  • Glad to see your back, I was wondering if the computer gremlins got you. Probably the most creative cripple creek video on here. Good job.

  • sounds real good there.

  • Hey there friend! I was fixing to put out an ALL POINTS BULLETIN if I hadn't heard from you by next week! Glad to see all is OK, and your doing fine. Great job getting some more pickin time in!

  • Thank you, my old friend! I ain't quite back yet, my girlfriend came down here with her laptop, she will be leaving again on Saturday, but when she gets back for good in January, we will have computer, high speed Internet, the whole ordeal, the I will be back here on YouTube and our good ol' forum. Hang in there!

  • Good job! I enjoyed the setting and especially liked the ending. You should see if you can find a copy of Doug Dillard's "Banjo in the Hollow." It's a lot like "Cripple Creek," but more fun to play.

  • Well alright, nice job. Hey, did you get the letter in that envelope I sent? I know you got the cd's and the chew but I was wondering if you got the pictures and the letter too. Ill give you a call here after while.

  • Hey, Sparky! Yeah, buddy, I got your letter, with the pictures, the Squidbillies DVD, Hank III and Johnny Reb and that can of Grizzly, everything was there! Thank you very much, brother, I really appreciate the nice gifts and your friendship. You're welcome to call me at anytime, you know that! Hope everything is fine and dandy down Florida way! Miss the heat down yonder, it's cold here in Mississippi right now!

  • you are just the best brothher :)

  • Darn it this is the best video I have ever seen! Rated high as can be, favoured and darn good entertainment. MSfeller your picking is outstanding!

  • Thank you very much, Kester! That gift was right on the head of the nail, boy! :) Appreciate it, a letter will be headin' up your way in a few days. Meanwhile, take care, brother!

  • YEEHAW!
