  • Lmao the old guy was funny.

  • wtf the instructor is fuckin g bro

  • Add a small incline or wet snow and NOTHING will get you through really deep snow apart from those speciality Toyota trucks with those $1000 per tire balloon tires (top gear polar special) . I see massive SUVs stuck all the time here in CO. People you can't defy the laws of physics. Of course snow tires will help on ice and keep you on the road but really deep snow, forget about it!

  • @JacanaProductions That's probably more because most SUVs do not have locking differentials for the 4WD system, and as a result, the torque goes to the wheels with the least amount of traction (when you see say the left front wheel spinning and the right rear wheel or vice versa or only the left wheels or only right wheels spinning).

  • @WheelsRCool Think it's more physics, search for some monster lifted trucks here on youtube with lockable hubs etc, they still get stuck if the snow is really deep. Even with shAWD where you can put 100% if the torque to a single wheel give the Acura deep enough snow and you'll get stuck.

  • If they had real winter tires then he would not need chains.

  • THIS IS THE BEST CAR

  • One of these bad boys would make me love Winter!

  • why dont these morons just put on winter tires..

  • HAHAHHAHAAH

  • No merit with snow chains

  • Where is deep snow???????????????????

  • BUAHAHHAHAHAHA WTF ???????????!!!!!!!!!

  • wow... my 1000$ 1997 XJ would go through that easily...

  • In deep snow it would be better to use mud and ruts (or even sand) setting since in gravel, grass and sand mode traction control is extremely restrictive (to prevent wheel slip) but in soft snow you need wheel slip.

  • land rovers look awesome in the snow

  • dont u want to put the chains on the front of a 4x4 ??? =\

  • "Im English just like this Range Rover you fcking yank...bugger off! I know what Im doing!"

    Haha!

  • boy would i punch that guy if i was in the same car as him...

  • Only one pair of chains? and yes it is necessary when OEM tires for this vehicle are All Season , not All Terrain M&S :) No worries, I have never seen a new one of these off -road ever in person and hardly on youtube either, that is why there is the Bowler! The all state police deal with rear wheel drive Crown Victoria's on snow and ice, yes sir! and they often pick people up from their ditched SUV's. Just a reminder winter is just around the corner!

  • @bartmatton

Everything that you just said is wrong! The RR doesn't need the chains, and could blow through there if the instructor wasn't telling him what to do and go slow. And NO, an RR is much safer than a shitty Subaru produced at a high capacity plant, and no, just the othe year Jaguar tied with Buick for the #1 spot in reliability and Land Rover is Jaguars sister company. Land Rover uses Jaguar engines and electronics perfectly modified for off roading. Fuck You!

  • they know that they dont need chains for that car right?

  • @OceanPotato in america is the law

  • The instructor really needs to stfu. I'm getting annoyed for the guy.

  • This instructor is very annoying & he seems annoyed by him as well.

  • I was taking this review seriously until the instructor started talking...hahaha

  • Nice car but nothing compare with my g55 with winter tires it goes throughout everything like tenk !!!!!!!

  • that instructor was getting hard

  • It's a crescendo, a crescendo of momentum...

  • The instructor is annoying, but funny.

  • اطقعو في دقيق يا الصناعه الامريكيه

    الالماني و بسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسسس

  • sorry but my f250 could blow through that in 10 seconds

  • @xmodrock sure....... your truck will beat the all time off road car ya like im gonna believe that

  • @hazemvirus lockers and tires make all the difference... as does the driver... as you saw there is a way to get through that.. and i got more clearance than that car.. don't get me wrong its a great car.. but i wanna see it do somthin more impressive

  • @xmodrock there is a reason they call Range Rover the God of off road driving, i've been in the cayenne turbo and this one, that one was great but this didnt even get close to get stuck, search some videos or look for dealer or even that have that kinda test drive, trust me you will be impressed

  • @hazemvirus im not so sure a modded pickup isn't the better way to go... :-)

  • Thumbs up for the instructor!

  • Lord have mercy....dont freak out dude

  • all you need is winter tires, no chains nor instructor.

  • The instructor had me rollllliiinnnnn. Loll

  • Hahahah person from UK and from USA hahah what a mix :)

  • Too bad it will most likely break down before you finish the trail. I love rovers, but they are terrible in the reliability department.

  • Excellent video. Pushing thru that snow, at a very reasonable speed, is not something that most vehicles can do...not for any real distance. It's one thing to push thru a short run with enough speed and momentum, but pushing thru long distances of deep snow is not something your average 4x4 or AWD "suv" can handle. Hummer H1's and Land Rovers...top of the heap!

  • If Jeremy Clarkson were the instructor the only advice he'd be giving is, "POWERRRRRR!!!" haha

  • Pallleaaasee'.... With chains on the tires, my old Toyota RAV4 could do this....

  • my 87gmc sierra could do that shit .

  • @coolguy125 i went through 3 or more feet of snow in my old 79 scottsdale custom deluxe, and plowed through some 4 foot drifts . of course it sat just a wee bit higher than sock and had super swampers lol. gotta love those old gm trucks though. dont make them like they used to, real shame.

  • @GMCman82 not the first time ive heard that

  • @alanack67 yeah i know the 4x4 versions of those trucks were like tanks. i want another one but either they are so rusty you could get tetanus just by looking at them or they are in good shape or restored and they want an arm and a leg for them.

  • he would be the worst to go on a road trip with..

  • lool the instructer sounds like a total punk

  • wow a landrover went through snow....weak overpriced suv if you ask me....

  • Ahahhaahh who is that guy??

  • uhh the instructor uses too many bad quotes

  • I wonder what that instructor says during sex haha!

  • @alvaaddict "you just turned my terrain response dial to the MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE setting!"

  • @alvaaddict "lets get a little bit hardcore"

  • @alvaaddict im guessing "its a crescendo of momentum"..loll

  • @alvaaddict LMAO

  • @alvaaddict :D:D:D hahaha

  • @alvaaddict I just can't stop laughing about you wrote! xD muahah

  • my x3 goes through 2 feet of snow with just snow tires without issues, so this LR with more ground clearance got to be better than that

  • snow chains....hahahahaha wtf. Ditch those all-season conticraps and get some snow chains. You don't need a 100 grand RR to get through that. My driveway sometimes gets deeper drifts than that.

  • Clearly that instructor was under the influence of psychedelic drugs with all that crescendo talk. Better get him some water before he dehydrates.

  • This instructor LOVES his job...

  • Why does a Land Rover need snow chains? It's not pulling anything...

  • LOL the instructor is jokes i would be dying if he was my teacher

  • that instructor would annoy the hell ouuta me

  • haha the VW Touareg/Porsche Cayenne can do this even better ;)

  • The VW Touareg did this, but without tyres chains

    /watch?v=TecGZUB-b3M

  • I used to have a 06 grand cherokee & let me tell you.. I AM NOT ONE BIT IMPRESSED.. I used to literally climb mountains..no chains, no shovel.. just good pair of tires. you really don't get what your paying for in this car

  • @mellowdalyricist I too have 05' grand cherokee. 2.25" lift kit with BFG's. It has never come close to getting stuck in Colorado mountain snow. But you have to also respect the Range Rovers off-road capabilities. You absolutely get what you are paying for. Super luxurious interiors with lots of power. The diff's are nuclear-bomb proof. Like you said, its all about tire choice and these guys had winter tires. They were just being pussies and the instructor was a crazy old man.

  • @mellowdalyricist So, you're blaming world's greatest off-roader for not being good enough without giving us a single reason. How cute...

  • @sspope If you think this is the BEST off road vehicle then you clearly have never seen a Jeep with 37" tires or a Hummer with Mattraks, I have crossed a river in a really old Land Cruiser & hauled big logs up extremely steep hills in a old Tundra.

You obviously saw this video & ate it all up! but this is NOT the best money could buy. personally the only videos I have is of my cherokee driving around rural roads but if you want proof just browse around youtube!

  • **I LIKE THOSE ....SNOW CHAINS...DOES ANY BODY KNOW THE NAME OR WHERE I CAN...PURCHASE A ...SET...LET ME KNOW...THANK YOU***

  • Without a comparison this is pointless. Maybe an Accord with chains could do just as well, maybe it cant, we don't know.

  • @ndyt It's not a comparison, it's an advertisement. The video is advertising the impressive ability of the 2011 Range Rover to traverse pretty damn deep snow... and that it does!

I found the video to prove the 2011 Range Rover as being quite impressive with it's capability to move through deep snow.

  • @ndyt I live in Norway, and i can tell you that an Accord with chains could NOT do that. But it\s not a superfantasticspectacular acchievement either..... Any good REAL 4x4 should be able to do the same.(not a Toyota urban cruiser with 4wd i mean)

  • i got an off road test for the rover.......its called- try to run over the terrified loudmouth passenger after i kick his ass out in the snow

  • it's the crusial estage of momentum! xD

  • my dogs name is crescendo

  • this is why range rover is superior

  • wtf is a crescendo

  • @boysvandehood poor folks like you don't understand that lingo!...hah!

  • @mhtl48 im not from an english speaking country allright, you fucking weirdo

  • you dont need snow chain or to shovel your way out when you in range rover, its capable of crossing that without even getting out of the car

  • offroad comparison!

  • More videos of this please!

  • around 54 seconds the guy says in his head, "alright stop fuckin yelling at me jeez!"

  • Id like to see my moms g55 go through that snow with chains.. In the same conditions.. Hahhhh!

  • with chains anything can get through the snow....lets see it done without the chains on.

  • Range Rovers are nice, but im sure my 99 cadillac deville (with snow chains) could rip through that shit

  • Nice. I love it when I see an SUV in proper use :D

  • isnt that the guy from weeds?

  • soooo my 4 runner does that any day, whys this soo amazing??

  • @halfhappy117

Because it's 3x more expensive than your 4runner was when new. duh....

  • @Pezdetz666 soo that makes it amazing how?? if anything it makes it look like shit, and makes u look like an idiot for saying that

  • a british person can't drive a range rover... sad

  • my subaru can do that easily

  • @bartmatton

But is it also accepted at the country club?

  • @jwatwater I wouldn't want it to be.

but it really fits in at the ski hill or a trailhead a campground or a Kayak-Canoe launch

  • @bartmatton

Excatly. which is why you cannot compare your Subaru to a Range Rover...

  • @jwatwater Sure you can, My point wasn't about which venues the car fits in at. It was about the capabilites of the vehicles in snow. A subaru forester would plow through that with 4 season tires and you wouldn't need training from a Scary old man to do it without getting stuck. Range Rover $94,000 Subaru Forester $21,000 and its not a 2 day wait and a $800 price tag every time it needs service also the subaru is more reliable handles better it's better on fuel and is safer so make your choice

  • @bartmatton Yeah, but you know the BEST thing about SUV;s?? You can fuck in them.

  • the fucking metaphors the instructor is coming up with makes me want to hurt him.

  • @ethosflux lol!

  • why the chains only in the back??

  • hahha your hummer h2 wont do that

  • Amazing!

  • About time I see a Range Rover without 25" rims on it and doing something its made for!

  • Ugh. Fucking annoying instructor.

  • Lose the idiot in the passenger seat!

  • that "correspondent" is cute haha :)

  • i dont think they are using the right shovels

  • @silvershadow169 Haha, I never really noticed the first time around, but really, they're using spade-head dirt shovels... fucking stupid. But I guess you use what you got, even when you got a Range Rover...

  • Until someone develops 100mph caterpillar tracks (Maxtraks max at about 40mph on pavement) or snow screws, this is about the best you can do.

  • Range Rover rocks!

  • I would like to see an X6 doing this

  • @weed46 It wouldn't even make to the trail.

  • " now your good because you tested the waters" LOL he moved 6 feet back LMAO!!

  • crescendo my ass

  • His mouth says "fantastic fun" but his eyes and face say "how much farther till we get to a track?"

  • Don't eat all the steak at once! That's freggin' hilarious!

  • "It's a crescendo... it's a crescendo of momentum"

  • I love driving in the snow!

  • hahahha the instructor is weird

  • that looks fun

  • Its a crescendo! It's a crescendo of momentum!

  • @mastercuber hahahaha who hired that guy hahaha

  • @mastercuber YES!!!! YES!!! That is EXACTLY what I wanted to say! So many lol's!! :P

  • that guy is pretty annoying

  • same bmw x6 would do with 60mph haha

  • What a beast.

  • Nice, I miss the snow.

  • @cyprex I have a E430 4Matic, man it was fun in the snow. and now its all gone :(
