Good game, since the story of Jericho and Tanner is finished, i wonder if Reflections will start a 2nd game Driver with this dude in. What's his name again?
God, I loved this game, and miss it... Friggin' let a friend borrow it for a few days, gave it back to me broke, was so pissed. If I ever find this again, I'll buy it, even if s/he wants $35.00. The Driver and GTA series are the best of the best...

both games are great: GTA SA has more opportunities and DPL has the realistic driving physics
@sithmastur Yeah, but in Driver 2 if a cop catches you, you are locked in your car and you have to run for your life, I remember having my neck paralysed and I had to be in a sleeping position, so with cream and bandages on my neck, I played for like an hour, Driver 2 is simply awesome. Havana and Chicago :D:D:D.
@fairiesandgoblins I get your point and agree completely :P. Although I'm more into WW2 games, especially games with Skirmish. And games where you can play as all sides, not only as Americans, but SandBox games are pretty cool too :P

@MrGeo7k Everyone copies some things dude, that's the natural progression of things. Driv3r was the first in the series where you could get out of the car and use guns n stuff. Driv3r was released Jun 21, 2004, (if google is to be trusted...) GTA3 was released October 2001. Unless my facts are wrong, it would appear Driv3r copied the concept from GTA!

But anyways, "better" is in the eye of the beholder. I don't care if GTA completely ripped off driver, it's still a better and more fun series to me. Driver PL is the only one that even comes close to being as fun to the GTA games in my opinion, and even PL can't touch the epicness of Vice City or San Andreas IMO.

The Loading System sucks In this game I got all the way to the 2006 era and had to start over again. You might as well play this game without a memory card.
@lucaskabuloso10 The driving is so much better in DPL, the cars have lots of feel and move like a heavy lump of metal, which they are. In GTA the cars feel really floaty, and the collisions are really unrealistic. But in GTA you actually get little fires after a car has exploded, in driv3r and DPL you get no flames at all, except in the engine of the car. It can't take much effort can it? DPL would be awesome if it had that. But DPL still wins for me because of the far superior driving :)

Half the time my van gets stuck in a tree when I try to chase down some asshole in a way too fast sports car, and then I get shot at by cops when I AM A COP. well if you want to get really technical and i dont know why people compare gta to this game, in the beginning of the gta series it was over head camera view, driver has always been this style of game play so really rock star did the good thing and changed the way GTA was played and changed their game play to this style like driver so really GTA copied the Driver series. @OG4LYFEYungD hey this game was focused more on driving, it was his strong side, In GTA you don't have good driving, you can do many thing sure but you don't ever hear "Don't bite off more than you can chew". I played all GTAs and i liked it, but honestly I have to say that DPL has other approach: good Driving, good music, great Storyline (cmon only GTA III and Vice city has remarkable storyline) and the change of ERA and seeing how much things are changed (and others remains the same) is epic

The bnyou have no life pal, and one MORE thing, DPL was REALISTIC. OH WOW IM A GANGSTA BOY FROM DA HOOD, OH WAIT NOW I FLY FIGHTER JETS AND OWN BIG MANSIONS HOW'D THIS HAPPEN SO FAST IDK, OH WAIT NOW I NEED TO GO BACK TO THE HOOD TO KILL A GUY I COULD HAVE KILLED 30 TIMES PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. SA was good in its own way, so is DPL.

This game would have been really great with maybe two or more cities that were this big and with Tanner instead of that pussy TK. Otherwise it was fun and the music was really good.

The Driver series has the best graphics of all the open world games! on the PS2 the Driver games looked much better than all the other games of this genre! when the PS3 version finally comes out it should be photo realistic!

well if you want to get really technical and i dont know why people compare gta to this game, in the beginning of the gta series it was over head camera view, driver has always been this style of game play so really rock star did the good thing and changed the way GTA was played and changed their game play to this style like driver so really GTA copied the Driver series. So props to the driver serie

I can't seem to find the Checkpoint Race called World Fair Park from 2006, it's not in the same place as it was in 1978 ... any ideas where it is ... pls pls pls ? I doubt there is a problem and it doesn't show ... if anyone has the slightest idea please reply or contact me.
