And why should it matter that blood is created from the bone marrow. When somone is in a car accident, and bleeding profusely, no body suggests we do something about his bonemarrow, we just give him blood so that he doesnt die. Blood is the essence of life; bonemarrow merely helps you create your own.

I dont know. You could make that argument. But keep in mind that the jelly fish doesnt have a heart, nervous system, or brain for that matter. Its practically a plant that moves. Speaking of which, plants dont have blood either. Blood is the essense of most life forms for all practical purposes. Search hard enough, theres always gonna be exceptions. but i guess the ones you mentioned are valid.

Blood is indeed the life because Jesus once said, "I lay down my {life} for my friends, and with my {life}, I can take it back up again". As a matter of fact, when Jesus was crucified on the cross, He shed His {blood} for us, which means that He gave His {life} for us. And the Bible clearly states that the sacrifice of {blood} leads to the remission of sins. And the wages of sin are death, which take our

{life} for good.

So not only is the "life is in the blood" thing not original, but it's also wrong like I mentioned in my video. HA and they keep on citing this as if it's some kind of scientific thing. Thanks for pointing out the code of hammurabi thing. That was helpful.

When presented with 'biblical science verses' be sure to check if they were original. Large portions of the OT come from earlier various ancient myths or stories. then proceed to prove that these verses are either no big revelation and something that was just common knowledge.

And of course, when debating be sure your opponent does not have an anti-evolutionary kit sold to them from the resurrected Billy Maze.

You make some good points in this video. On the essence, it's fairly worthless in my opinion for people to try to label what is the essence of life. There are more factors that affect whether or not an organism continues to live, than just blood. Like you said

Another thing I find funny is Christians quote a verse in Hebrews claiming "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." Yet in the very same bible, god provides a procedure that poor people could do to have their sins forgiven that didn't involve shedding of blood:

"... [sinner] brings fine flour for a sin offering, burns it on the altar. priest makes atonement for his sin and he will be forgiven [Leviticus 5:11-13]

So god IS capable of forgiving without bloodshed!

Yes it is quite stupid to believe that blood is the essence of life. The thing is no matter how you die your cells always end up dieing for a lack of oxygen. Blood of course is part of delivering that oxygen, but we also need the lungs for that and the brain controls it all. Plus there are also plenty of living things that don't require blood. Clearly not scientific at all.
