It's unfair for the parents of anchor babies to put the responsibility for their children on American citizens. The children are the parents' responsibility. We should not reward the parents' crime by conferring citizenship and its benefits on their children. That just lets the children later sponsor their parents and others creating a new cycle of endless chain migration.
This is the epitome of our broken immigration system. This motivate kid goes onto higher education and dedicates his time to his community. He would most likely get a job, ultimately contributing to our GDP, be a role model and mentor others. Even fights his case in the courts instead of fading into the shadows of society. Yet he is in danger of being deported. However, a criminal with non-citizen status, roams free living of a black-market economy fuel by a 40yrs of failed drug policy. WTF
The DREAM Act misses the entire point of being an ILLEGAL ALIEN. Illegal does not mean "if you can avoid being deported for five or more years", it means YOU'RE NOT ENTITLED TO BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I would like to introduce my own DREAM ACT :
I DREAM politicians will begin to stand up for legal, tax-paying, citizens & legal immigrants who follow the laws, deport law breakers along with their anchor babies& stop subsidizing criminal behavior.

I'm not on a podium calling for the dream act, it was never mentioned at any point in my comment. Its obvious you don't want any immigration into this country at all. I am more of a realist, I want the standard to be set for who we want and most importantly who we need. Right know we need young educated professionals. To replace the massive retiring generation.
When a country built on laws begins to allow these laws to be broken without consequence the whole nation is in real trouble. Illegals KNOWINGLY violate the laws & understand that it is a great show of disrespect for them not to go back to their country of origin & apply to re-enter this country legally. How can legal citizens of this nation be expected to give these disrespectful illegals any sincere recognition? They first must learn respect before we can give them any.
The best way to help Mexico is to keep them there until they force a change. Being a misplaced / bleeding-heart whackjob is not going to do it nor will throwing money at the problem. It's obvious that the politicians of Mexico have little to no interest in their own people or doing something about Mexico's failure. The people are used to living without law & bring their mentality here. Harsher penalties are much needed.
