This just happened to me a few months ago. My cat was 10. Unfortunately his genes did not do him any favors. During his life he had urinary tract disease, a heart murmer, and then he got irritable bowel disease. I was actually able to treat and control all of those issues. but he all of a sudden had a massive stroke. I was crushed. I posted some video of him and the others. All the best, as I understand. In the past, i was one of those guys who could not understand the grief others who would tell me of the loss of their cat. i now fully understand how a cat owner feels at the loss, my cat got missing 4 years ago, i still keep expecting him to walk around the corner and meow at me. to this day i still feel like a piece of me is missing and there's nothing out there that can fill the hole in my heart
I put my cat down at 6:15 pm today. She was 20, and of course past her time, and she has declined in the last week due to a kidney disease. She didn't ear, barely drank and just loped everywhere. So we took her to the vets and watched as she got put down. It really is so peaceful.

He was extraordinary, we moved one day and we left him, but then the next morning we found him lying on our doorstep, we followed us the whole 2 miles, he was the best. I hope he's happy where he is.
I love animals my cat died recently, it is so hard to be without her,she still is my baby.It is very painful to miss an animal that you love and created a bond with. I know it hurts. I have 2 cats and one may die, the other has conjunctivitis in one eye. Just keeping venting and crying until you can't anymore and then you should get a new cat. I know no cat could replace Bunny, and I feel the same way about my cat Twinky. But it will help you feel better.
Hey I know this is a bit of a late comment, (3 yrs late) hehe, but I know exactly how you feel, I lost my Sophie (he's a boy because we mixed up his sex at birth but kept the name) 2 weeks ago, he was also 13. He meant everything to me, I feel like i've had a massive chunk of me torn out and i'm taking a long time to grieve over him.

I got my favourite playboy necklace (he reminded me of the bunny logo) and put it around his neck before i put him in his box padded with towels and my sis put note she wrote inside beside him before we buried him by some jasmines.

My rabbit Jasper died peacefully this morning in my mums arms at 9am (i didn't know until 10am when my dad woke me up to tell me) he was 6 years old.

WOW I am so sorry about your kitty. My cat, Bodie, I had for 20 years (yes 20 years), he has been with me my entire adult life. Took him every where I moved. He would fetch, and follow me without a leash anywhere. I would walk blocks and he would follow me, people would stop and ask what was the deal. Cars, trucks, whatever he followed me. Slept either on my bed or right next to it. He died two years ago, right in my arms, I can never get over it though. Just before he died he tried to
jump up on my bed. He looked so strange and he was wobbly. I put him on the bed, and I just pet him and tried to hug him. He never stopped looking at me, just staring and trying to talk (you know how cats talk). He loved me to pet him he could never get enough, so that's what I did. I was there trying not to believe he was going to check out on me. One hour and ten minutes, ah, my poor buddy. I miss him so much, there will never be another one like him. Thanks for this vid. I lost my two cat's this month. My girl cat was 19 and died on Friday. She had a cat flu and never recovered and was euthanised. My boy cat died in September, of a heart attack. He was 17.
They lived long life, and had been with me most of my life. They were like my children. Remember the good times. Don't dwell on the deaths.

my ferret was put down and she knew she was about to be healed forever. on the way to the vet, she got very excited in the car and when we were holding her for the last couple times, she knew it was good bye. she let us hold her and was just so excited about going to see jesus. (im crying so bad right now) she to was pooping out blood and at times pure blood. she had a cancer in the rear. she was truely the best ferret in the world......i love you babie girl, and allways will. im sorry for you.

My Russian Blue, Dusty, died yesterday, he got run over, he was my best friend, we grew up together. He was extraordinary, we moved one day and we left him, but then the next morning we found him lying on our doorstep, we followed us the whole 2 miles, he was the best. I hope he's happy where he is.

I love animals my cat died recently, it is so hard to be without her,she still is my baby.It is very painful to miss an animal that you love and created a bond with. Everything i do, have and everywhere i go reminds me of her,because i always had her in mind. especially shopping, when i had something to look forward too , like buying her food.She taught me a good and blessed me much . I know it hurts. I have 2 cats and one may die, the other has conjunctivitis in one eye. Just keeping venting and crying until you can't anymore and then you should get a new cat. I know no cat could replace Bunny, and I feel the same way about my cat Twinky. But it will help you feel better.

Hey I know this is a bit of a late comment, (3 yrs late) hehe, but I know exactly how you feel, I lost my Sophie (he's a boy because we mixed up his sex at birth but kept the name) 2 weeks ago, he was also 13. He meant everything to me, I feel like i've had a massive chunk of me torn out and i'm taking a long time to grieve over him.
It's nice to see someone else who knows what you're going through because not alot of ppl understand the grief with the loss of a pet. its like losing a human too

@HamsAlamal to some people pets are family to them. My grandma's husband died about 20 years ago. About a year later she got a young cat. When it died she was as sad as when her husband died.

I got my favourite playboy necklace (he reminded me of the bunny logo) and put it around his neck before i put him in his box padded with towels and my sis put note she wrote inside beside him before we buried him by some jasmines.
Im just so pissed off that i wasnt there when he was still alive.

My rabbit Jasper died peacefully this morning in my mums arms at 9am (i didn't know until 10am when my dad woke me up to tell me) he was 6 years old.
he was such a beautiful energetic bunny and i loved him so much, when i saw him in the cage he looked like he was sleeping, so peaceful and it got me real hard and i held him in my arms crying. I'm going to miss him soo much and i have cried twice today i can't believe he is gone. :(

I had to have my cat put down 3 days ago and the way you talked about your cat being your baby, is the same way I feel about my cat Chester. we was 14 years old and I had him since the day he was born. I had 8 and now I only have 7 and it is so hard to adjust to not seeing him around the house. I'm so sorry for your loss. Everyone says it will get better but my question is.... when.

but it's good that he stayed with you for 13 long years.... i lost my 6 month cat 2 days ago in a terrible car accident, he sustained severe head injury and died on the spot ... so it's awful i know, i'm trying to get over it but it's hard...
don't be sad that's it's over, be happy that he came into ur life and remember the good times

Wonder what percentage of the people watching this cried along with you? Probably most. When I take my cats outside they immediately start eating grass, so I'm now thinking that this grass eating is what they need to help digest their food...to improve the state of their intestinal tract...to make them live longer!

today is when my cat, tiger died, he started pooping and vomiting so we took him to the vet and he was better for a week or two, then at the final day of his life he lies in his bed not moving meowing and howling, when i woke up this morning i come check on him to see if he was okay, and that was when he lay there dead, now he peacfully rests my backyard where he loved to hide. RIP Tiger I,ll miss you ;(

WOW I am so sorry about your kitty. My cat, Bodie, I had for 20 years (yes 20 years), he has been with me my entire adult life. Took him every where I moved. He would fetch, and follow me without a leash anywhere. I would walk blocks and he would follow me, people would stop and ask what was the deal. Cars, trucks, whatever he followed me. jump up on my bed. He looked so strange and he was wobbly. I put him on the bed, and I just pet him and tried to hug him. He never stopped looking at me, just staring and trying to talk (you know how cats talk). He loved me to pet him he could never get enough, so that's what I did. I was there trying not to believe he was going to check out on me. One hour and ten minutes, ah, my poor buddy. I miss him so much, there will never be another one like him. Thanks for this vid. It is sad, a horrible thing especially how your cat died.
I lost my two cat's this month. My girl cat was 19 and died on Friday. She had a cat flu and never recovered and was euthanised. My boy cat died in September, of a heart attack. He was 17.
They lived long life, and had been with me most of my life. They were like my children. Remember the good times. Don't dwell on the deaths.

last night we were doing laundry and my year old kitten jump in we didnt knew and turned it on we heard thumps and thout it was uneven so we put a book underneeth
i didnt work so we opened it and we found it twitcing and blood coming out of his mouthwhen me and my brother found out we cryed all night R.I.P charlie :(

i want to say im srry for your cat. i had to put my cat down becasue his bladder was backed up. i watched him die. he was only 3. its saturday today nad it happend on tuesday. he was one of my best freinds i ever had. becasue he didnt judge me he didnt hate me all he did was love me. i miss him and i feel how u feel.
i went and barried his body myself in my back yard. and i mis him.

sorry for your loss..... my cat philomena passed away this morning from liver failure , poor baby had lost so much weight overnight from poisioning as neighbours had mice and philomena hunted the poisioned mice . Was so sad holding her at her burriel in the garden, wish she was still here i miss her so so much she was so lovely and hurts lots she was so young at 8 years with me an miss her a friend .

My cat passed away just yesterday. A car killed him and my dad saw him when he went to work. He were only 3 years old but i loved him so so so so much. He meant absolutley evereything to me and i cried all day and i am crying right now, i can't belive he's gone forever.
I am trueley sorry from the bottum of my heart what happened to your cat. It's horrible but it lived in 13 long happy years. I undarstand your sorrow and im sad that you and your cat had to go through this. ♥

My cat was 15 years old and she was so weak and she kept falling and the next day my dad woke my up crying saying ''seven, piglet passed away'' and i sat there and when he left i balled. i wish i could pet her more. I had since the day i was born. and im 12 now. We burried her today and i said goodbye for the last time and i miss her. RIP. I love you Piglet. Your in a better place now. Ive cried 2 days straight for her.

I feel for you madricka. I don't now what it feels like to loose a cat but I know what it is like to loose a dog. I was in school (year four) and it was one of my first days in my new school. She had cancer in her kidney... My sister has a hamster now and we have almost had him for 2 years and I couldn't imagine loosing him. I can't even start to think about how I would feel if he had been with me for 13 years. I really feel for you madricka. I hope you feel better soon :)

my ferret was put down and she knew she was about to be healed forever. on the way to the vet, she got very excited in the car and when we were holding her for the last couple times, she knew it was good bye. she let us hold her and was just so excited about going to see jesus. (im crying so bad right now) she to was pooping out blood and at times pure blood. she had a cancer in the rear. she was truely the best ferret in the world......i love you babie girl, and allways will. im sorry for you.
