Short of having Mister Peabody's Wayback Machine, this book is the best way to experience Old Town Alexandria as it was back then. I love taking this book with me to old town, finding the exact locations of the buildings and marveling in the changes and yet the sameness that still exist. A magnificent effort by these fine authors!
