My name is Carina, and I am 19 years old, I was diagnosed with TS when I was a baby. I am proud to say that I have not been affected as badly as the doctor said I would. I only have small skin abnormalities, tubers behind my eyes and throughout my brain. If you were to look at me, you would not be able to know I am affected with this disease.I am in my second year at University now and am in perfect health. So there is hope out their for parents that have children with this disease

You're very lucky Carina for being in a good health I too was diagnosed with TS when I was 4 years old and I have tuber in my organs (brain, kidneys) but my health is very good. Unlucky for me I have those skin marks on my cheeks and chin. I used to go for therapies with laser but it was very painful so I stop doing them. I just wanted to tell you how lucky you are! Hope you have a good life!

I also have gone for laser treatments on my face for the skin "bumps" I agree it was very painful so I stopped. Thankfully my bumps are not large and are about the size of pimples, which ae located under my chin. We are both lucky that we do not have serous problems!

One reason I friended you on facebook was because I have ts and am an actress as well, I heard you represent them and my sister and son died from it and my other sister is dying. This is not a fun condition. I made myown video causing awareness, since I am an entertainmet I am spreading the word.

My daughter has TSC and I am grateful for your help Julianne! She has a severe form of this and it is a struggle every day. But it has brought me a lot closer to my daughter, Kierra Grace. Thank you for all your help and support!
