If you look at the panel, just left of the clock you can see where you switch between desktops. At least I think that's what that is. Seems to be two desktops per default. Xfce can do pretty much what Gnome and KDE can do, except it's more lightweight.
Nah, the 14 hours wasn't with normal use. It was if you turn the screen down and turn off wifi/bluetooth and run at a slower clockspeed. But there's still a considerable amount of battery power with normal use anyway (8-10 hours!)
@borgqueenx All those effects are indeed possible and somebody will probably port/pack them for Pandora. But in the beginning, the devs have more important stuff to take care of.
it does consume resources, it mainly requires gpu power. Pandora has that power, and you can have most of the fancy effects if not all. but I prefer saving the battery for more gaming/video.
It looks kinda hard to select things. When I get one I'll definitely make the Icons a text bigger.
The customization of Linux is pretty darn sweet!

@verblendet - Yeah, almost every X11 desktop has the multiple desktops.
It probably has an Alt-tab kind of shortcut, too. xfce, GNOME, KDE are all similar except for the underlying software tools.

can it run KDE or GNOME?
maxtervan 2 years ago
Yes, but that's a severe waste of power and memory for such a small device.

I like what they're trying to do
But the touchscreen controls look horrible
And the OS doesn't look hot for a small, portable device.

What do you mean the OS isn't hot?
cyborgtroy 2 years ago
There is two different desktops you can chose between. The first is the one shown in this video. The other is more like a gaming os like PSP or Wiz.

Will the pandora button above the keyboard go back to desktop? Or what is its standard function?

Now THIS is the video i always requested for. Can we run a 3d cube desktop and have other special effects?

@atiflz but the rotating cube dosn't consume too much resources?
