  • Nice ride but needs some BF Goodrich T/A's white letter tires white wall s make it look like an OLD Man car! Mon had one when I was a kidin dark metal flake green, and I had two cougars in this body style . Great looking cars but lame HP and poor gas mileage! Mom's was a police 400 modified that one was very fast also rare I wish I still had it !

  • The Ford Torino Elite was built on the same platform as the Mercury Cougar.I had a 1976 Ford Torino in the same colour and Ford called it Copper Bronze.Tip,pitting on the chrome use naval jelly and elbow grease and it will come off.Use a claybar on the paint and it will bring off the blemishes.

  • In 1977 the Elite was replaced by the Thunderbird, while the Torino series was replaced by the LTD II..

  • I call that a G.G&C Grocery. Golf&Church.

  • This is a Ford Elite. The first year this model came out (1974) it was called a "Gran Torino Elite", but in 75 the Elite became a separate model line apart from the Torino/Gran Torino models.

  • Nice car I like the paint color, and the gauge cluster, and the wheels!

  • Hint: You should film the interior near your because there is less sun.

  • Got to love the two tone colour. The front looks a little bid weird, with those headlights. Interior is looks really great!

  • its probaly very similar to the mercury cougar. my dad had a 77 cougar. that torino is gorgous!

  • The Elite was an upscale Torino with better trim, some minor styling changes and some pieces off of Mercurys. It was to compete against the upscale GM mid-size cars which were selling well at over 200,000 a year each (Cutlass Supreme, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix) using GM's formula. It was only in production for 3 years when they changed the upscale mid-size car to the T-bird name which was formerly on a car that competed with higher level cars like the Buick Rivera. T-Bird sold much better.
