  • He may be gone but his ideas remain. The people of Egypt can be inspired by the ideas and follow his example. Leaders are useful but not essential. Ideas are eternal.

  • English translation by a native Egyptian Arab please?

  • Funny how people think this man defeated the British Empire. On the contrary, the British military destroyed Egypt. We killed 2000 of the Egyptian army for every one British soldier. It was only when the yanks started selling pound sterling at a mass rate that we were forced to withdraw. Never forget, that Egypt was never beaten Britain in a fight.

  • @below

He can't be antisemitic, he is an Arab and stood for Arab nationalism. And Israel started the war when they launched preemptive strikes on the Arab air forces while they were on the ground.

  • Nasser was a very loved charismatic leader. But to his personal tragedy, and to the tragedy of the Arab world, he was victim of his antisemitic obsession with the Jewish State of Israel. He made his fatal mistake when he decided to wipe out the Jewish State in 1967, bringing about the Six Days War.

  • him and Sadat and Mubarak all in order to cling to power destroyed the egyptian economy and destroyed our beautiful society.

  • Nasser did nothing real for Egypt. The disaster today is a direct result of his autocratic policies. Instead of democracy he instituted dictatorship.

  • Nasser was POW at Israeli hands in 1948 1949. The man wanted vengeance and his hatred to the Jewish people carried Egypt to more and more sufferings and wars until he died

  • كم نفتقدك

  • I firmly believe this honorable man was assassinated - by Mubarak, or Assad , or Sadat, He made nothing but enemies because he was the peoples choice, their leader, and the only one to believe in Arab unity as a whole - with Egypt as the center of that democracy. Saudi Arabia and the other Arab monarchs hated this man with a passion - and yet it's his face we still post on our walls and his voice we listen to and his leadership we hunger for.

  • @ZTLVision

No, he died from heart attack, wonder if someone could assassinate him.

  • Salaam. Can a native Arab please tell me what the word ملهمش means? (just send a message to me here on youtube, don't post a comment, I can't see it) I can't find it in any dictionary online. And does he say at the beginning الفقراء لهم الجنة? As a matter of fact, could somebody provide me with a full transcript in Arabic, if it's not too much to ask for (it's a short video)? I can speak a little Arabic, but not the extent that I can understand Egyptian Arabic

  • قاتلك الله أنت وورثتك

  • ربنا يرحمك يا ناصر الفقراء

  • the founder of dictatorship, and complete failure, without Nasser, it will be no Sadat and Mubarak and defeat, he added another recorded military failure in 67, burn in hell Nasser.

  • RIP greatest leader..

you wanted to unite all Islamic countries, and to let Egypt be amongst them with pride.

    Allah yer7amak ya abu khalid.

The greatest President for the greatest Muslim country.. Egypt, balad Al Azhar <3

  • greatest arab leader

  • This guy was a LEADER not a TOSSER like everyone else starting from Anwar Sadat onwards, and especially Hosni Mubarak. Wish the Egyptians get another Nasser soon.

  • @xxxdieselyyy2 Agreed, Nasserism is for the best in Egypt, not Wahabiism

  • @slimv29

Yeah agreed w/ u 100000 percent on the Wahabi'ism part. On Gemal Abdel Nasser, whenever I look at him, I get pissed off at my country- India. That man was a part of NAM alliance, and yet when he got pummeled by NATO, we just back talked our way out of responsibility :(

I wished NAsser pursued a SERIOUS alliance like WArsaw Pact instead of NAM. The Nasser incident tossed India's global SERIOUS reputation (Vs 7-11 and call center reputation) down the tubes.

  • @xxxdieselyyy2 Well, I don't see Mubarak or Sadat any better than him. Egypt don't need to be like Iran unfortunately

  • I love Nasser, That is a vrey egyptien.

  • does anybody know wat he's saying ?

  • @gchijioke12 Poor people are rewarded with paradise in the afterlife, but doesn't poor people deserve to have some gain in life or is it just in the afterlife? They deserve to have some gain in life as well as in paradise.

  • @o alright thanks

  • I wish he could be there nowadays, Egypt needs a man like him.

I think as a president he only did one mistake: To take Saddat as his vize-president

  • @TheManuRulesIsBack Sadat was just as amazing as Gamal. May God bless both their souls!

  • الله يرحم ترابك يا جمال وعزة الله لن يأتي زعيم مثلك

  • Allah yerham trabak ya Nasser. Ya raytak ba3dak 3ayesh Egypt needs you now more than ever. Please read the fatha for him and for all those people that dies as martyrs in Egypt!

  • tides are changing in egypt, the people's submission is no more

  • The Egyptian people need another Nasser

  • Nasser a very great leader but too ambitious. Why did the United Arab Republic(1958-61) Egypt/Syria fail? After he courted Soviets with the 'Czech 1955 Big Weapons Deal' Arab-Israeli wars became part of Soviet/US Cold War...that doomed progress...until Sadat bravely signed a peace treaty with Israel...Israel many many blunders with Palestinian Self-Determination, Community Punishments, and Collateral..Arabs-few suicide bombers destroying your societies(no jihad no ISLAM those are devils)

  • Rahimaka Allah ya Jamal Abdelnaser!

  • DEATH TO NASSER! LONG LIVE ISRAEL! Israel shall survive forever, while Nasser's filthy rotting carcass will be worm food.

  • @warpedcomedy

All Arab states hate Israel. All European countries are fed up with Israel. Even America is bound to lose patience with Israeli intransigence.

At the rate things are going, Israel will not live forever. Perhaps not even another 60 years.

This is not entirely Israel's fault. Wide-ranging Arab anti-semitism certainly doesn't help. But really, is it such a big deal to allow the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza?

  • @terratrema Israel actually will live forever. Europe only supports the Palestinians over precious oil, which will run out in a few decades. Israel is not "instrangient", it made huge concessions at Camp David, but the Palestinians rejected it. They want to destroy Israel. They demand a "right of return" and "Jerusalem". Abbas Zaki aknowledged that Israel would collapse without Jerusalem due to Jewish history, while the right of return would demographically overwhelm Israel.

  • @terratrema Keep in mind that Israel offered an additional settlement freeze in exchange for recognition as a Jewish state, but the Palestinians said no. They continue to demand nothing less than a full right of return. They are intransigent, not Israel, and everyone knows this, but no one wants to upset oil oligarchs.

  • @warpedcomedy so u are calling the return of a people to a land from where they had been kicked out intransigence? interesting approach i must say. and your wrong. israel wont live forever. not cuz i dont want it to live but cuz of the huge advantage the arabs have in birth rate. now the percentage of arabs in israel is ariund 20%. this numbers only gonna increase. nothing can be done 'bout that.

  • @warpedcomedy you say:'Israel offered an additional settlement freeze'. im sorry??? how big hearted of them that they offered a freeze on a territory that does NOT belong to them. its recognized as Occupied Territories within International Law! there will be no peace until israel withdraws to pre-1967 borders. this is condition number one, and not continuos manipulations and empty promises on israels part.

  • @TheHungarianOak Actually, UN Resolution 242 recognized Israel's right to modify its borders for security. The 1967 borders are, according to the 1949 armistice agreements, temporary and subject to modification. 80% of the settlements are close to the border with Israel, including all the major ones. They will be annexed as a security belt, and that is absolutely non-negotiable.

  • @warpedcomedy thats un r. 242: (i) Withdrawal of Israel armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict; (ii) Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force."

  • @warpedcomedy moreover, you state:he 1967 borders are, according to the 1949 armistice agreements, temporary and subject to modification. again, who knew that there was going to be a war 18 later?? and israel has no right to have a security belt, as they are marked as occupied territories under International law. its land-garb, pure and simple. and if you were right, for the sake of example, why are there settlers in the security belt? no lasting peace until borders get back to pre 1967 lines.

  • @warpedcomedy what you call non-negotiable is simply reiterating israels viewpoint. but the majority thinks that peace is impossible until the west bank is free of settlers and the golan heights is given back to syria. unless this condition is fulfilled, israel has no right to dictate the terms of any kind of peace settlement. these two areas has been annexed by israel in 1967, to expand its territory. it has not been sanctioned by the UN, ever. therefore its illegal.

  • Egyptians are Egyptians, NOT Arab.

Egypt, be proud of your Pharaonic ancestry!

  • @Muslimatoun C`etait pour nous le meilleur...il restera toujours dans notre coeur!Legende d`Alexandrie!Jamais un President Socialiste Muslman á été aimer comme luis!

  • By nationalizing all privately owned enterprises, Nasser destroyed Egypt. He turned a dynamic, industrious society into a communist basket case. Egypt has been circling the toilet drain for the last 50 years because of this ignorant cad.

  • @rayofpith Socialist not communist! He was the Best President of Egypt in his times my the Egyptian people was proud and lived good! When Sadat turned to capitalism egypt has fell....

  • moe003, shut the fuck off, and dont talk about your masters. Thanks to him we are free, but your mother maybe has been dancer of the King

  • hey egypt whats wrong with hossni moubarek that he likes so much israel they must have given him a lot of the money

  • He was the leader who had the wisdom to be secular! He protected the Christians' rights from gangsters! After all, Jesus did say to spread the word with "your mouth" & not with the bloody sword! He was the architect of a great building program for Egypt; ports, bridges, roads, schools, hospitals! WE SALUTE YOU NASSER! WE KNOW YOU ARE IN HEAVEN COMRADE! The Anglo/British only saw Egypt for its Suez canal value, thats it! Just profits & imperialism, both the curse from hell!

  • @gamimenaki he was killed because he was a secular leader, just like sadat, or even to an extent saddam. they dont want arab leaders who actually want their people to have first world nations, they only want us to have petty dictators who will serve their globalist masters.

  • @gamimenaki Im sorry, everything that is wrong the Egypt right now is partially related to what Abdel Nasser did. The Land reformation was a decision he took without thinkng of the future. The poor then, had money to eat and drink, and there was control over how many children they have by the people they work for. just like now a days having a driver and a servant married and living under your roof, its youre rules. But then those farmers, suddenly became rich and theyre not educated

  • @gamimenaki And the worst thing anyone could do is give an uneducated man, a shit load of money. what happened after? POVERTY, and people with ALOT OF MONEY and no brains. All that is wrong today is because of that day. I Think he did alot of good for this country, but one big wrong, fucked it all up!

  • @gamimenaki

although someone might disagree with his policies and ideology, but you are absolutely correct, the man was a charismatic visionary

  • @gamimenaki Troll or unrealistic

  • @gamimenaki nasser ya batal ya sharif

  • @gamimenaki BAS YA GAMIM BOS EL SAWRA ADEL EL EH HOKAM MASR DELWAKTIH KOLOHOM MASOONIYIN

  • what does he say?

  • I agree with you Sabry. Abdel Nasser did nothing but to expand stupid Arabism (a.k.a. islamic fascism). He completely destroyed our Egyptian culture and heritage; caused chaos and started unnecessary wars. I kind of wish that we were still living under a monarchy even if it was of Turkish decent. At least we had culture and life back then. All we have now is fundamentalism and garbage.

  • zamalek80 - Your ignorance is staggering. Firstly the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 was about far more than Arab Nationalism and Pan-Arabism, as evidenced by the economic, industrial, legal, educational and other reforms it heralded. Secondly, some of the earliest and most prominent proponents of "Arabism" have been Christian Arabs, which demonstrates your claim that it is "islamic fascism" (sic) to be complete nonsense. Ever heard of Michel Aflaq, the Christian founder of the Ba'ath Party?

  • Thirdly, you claim that "He completely destroyed our Egyptian culture and heritage" - are you high??? It must obviously have escaped your notice that Egypt has today, as it has always had, the strongest and most vibrant culture in the entire region, partly because of Nasser's propagation of pride in 6000 years of Egyptian heritage. Fourthly - a monarchy "of Turkish decent" (sic) ??? The dynasty of Mohammed Ali Pasha was Albanian-Macedonian, not Turkish! Learn a little about your own history.

  • With great regret Nasser made no contribution whatsoever to enhance Egypt status or economy, it was just propaganda and hysteria style. What we are now is no better than what we were before the revolution. And Surely the Islamists and extremists are cashing in with the Egyptian populations.

    Opinion from an Egyptian

  • He was the hero of the arab world in his times.
