I did, I took him to the place where this was filmed and he took a tandem flight with an instructor(there is a video of him in my videos... this one is me).
The cost of training to be able to fly solo is generally in the neighborhood of $1,000-$1,500, and a full setup (harness, glider, helmet, variometer, etc.) can run anywhere from $3,000 (used) to $10k+. Google USHPA for more info.
i love aerotowing im learning this way best way to learn. ive seen experienced pilots doing conversions find it hard. but as us noobies dont know anything else so our flights are better he he. great vid im able to see your inputs, keeps my mind ticking over until my next lesson. thanks your in favourites
@jbatterson Him, if you're five feet tall and weigh 120 lbs, will lifting the hang glider be a HUGE PROBLEM for you when launching or landing? If so, can you use an aerotow instead?
great vid ! you can clearly see the line on a lot of it. I'm currently learning aerotow and it gives a good view of what aerotowing is actually like..
is it me or was the tug off to the right quite a lot?
The tug is generally circling right. If you watch a fixed object on the ground that you can see for a while in the frame, you will notice that we are doing a big clockwise circle over the launch/lz field.
Hey Mr. Batterson! It's so great to stumble on your youtube channel after so many years. This looks like a blast. I love the song!

Very nice! This video shows that you have to work pretty much while being aerotowed.
