People who love money above all else, and the tax code that they use to get more of it, hate Huckabee's Fair Tax reform and try to smear him on irrelevant things.

I would like to add a prediction, if I may. If Huckabee is on the Republican ticket - President or Vice President - Watch as Utah (reddest state in the nation) votes Democratic. Mike Huckabee won in Iowa because he was the non-Mormon candidate.
FACT: Mike Huckabee joined Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in declaring his opposition to the interrogation procedure known as "waterboarding," and said he would support closing the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and moving the Guantanamo prisoners to the military's only maximum-security prison, Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. i think people should think twice when they testify falsely about gov. Huckabee. Besides you talk about issues in this country, but we have forgotton 50 million babies are killed every year. where's their voice? Mike is the only one who is concerned about ending the war that is going on in america; americans shedding the blood of innocent babies.
He is honest and is not concerened with pointing the finger at someone else. let's put forth a little faith and give him our attention.
Mike Huckabee won Iowa because he tricked people into thinking he is a "Man of God". According to a recent article published by the Associated Press (A Look at Huckabee, Obama Iowa Victories, Alan Fram 01/04/08)
"Religion played a huge role in Mike Huckabee's triumph in the Iowa Republican caucuses, though there are some mixed signals for him on the road ahead.
Eight in 10 Huckabee supporters said they are born again or evangelical Christians, according to an entrance poll for The Associated Press and television networks. Another six in 10 said it was very important to share their candidate's religious beliefs.
In addition, six in 10 Huckabee supporters — more than his rivals — said it was most important that their candidate shared their values. Only 4 percent of his backers said they wanted a contender with experience, and 2 percent said they were looking for a Republican who can win the White House in November."
We'll see how the Baptist does in New Hampshire. If he wins in New Hampshire it might be the Christian evangelicals will get their way again.
Remember, the Colonists didn't revolt until the Banksters had sucked so much money out of the economy in the form of taxes and interest that the People could no longer afford to put food on the table.
We are in the beginning phase of the Revolution, and with the Internet here things are bound to go much more quickly:)
I was off just a bit. Paul was 3% behind McCain, Thompson for the 3rd spot. We'll see how things go in NH, a state that couldn't be more opposite than Iowa.
I'm glad you brought bin Laden up. It brings another similar person to mind: Paul. Paul killed many a Christian and then repented. Most Christians now worship the words of Paul. So yes, if bin Laden repented and wanted to tell others about Christ, I would listen, and the rest of the world might also.
If there is not hope for bin Laden, there is no hope for anyone. I love bin Laden and pray that he will find the most logical, loving, kind and forgiving Way of Jesus.
If you think that I am condemning you, or anyone else, than you have completely failed thus far to understand my philosphy. I'm simply making observations, not "disagreeing violently". I will follow Christ, remember? I've said many times that Jesus loves everyone, even those who kill enemies. That is not condmenation. In fact, Jesus loved His enemy enough to die for them. I would do the same. If others want to disagree violently it is their Gid-given right to do so.
I think you have yet to understand my philosophy. Sure, for some there remains a set standard of right and wrong. I see right and wrong as a dichotomy - opposites that are parts of the same thing at opposite ends of the spectrum. Like hot and cold are both TEMPERATURE. Right and wrong are simply part of the Higher Good. All right and wrong is part of, and ultimately leads to the Higher Good.
I posted just yetserday that Huckabee would win in Iowa. It was a given considering Iowas base of evangelical Christians (38%). Now we go to New Hampshire for a real primary where there are only 18% evangelical Christian. It's a 5 man race amongst the Republicans. My guess is McCain will win NH. This will really make things interesting for Super Tuesday:) Most of the candidates are out of money. Oh, and Ron Paul was essentially tied for third in Iowa:)
I know myself well, and have never said once that you are "wrong". I don't see things from a perspective of "right" or "wrong", but rather on "what serves one more positively" - what is "creative" or "destructive" - or what brings "fear" or "peace". Each individual has a God-given right to say and do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.
I understand clearly what you are asking, and suggesting, and agree with you on the possibility that Jesus never walked on the earth. Perhaps Jesus was just a character created by some writers? But just as in fiction books or the movies, there can be an underlying message embedded. It's the way of life Jesus promoted that I find interesting, not the man or character himself.
There are parts of the Bible that I disregard and parts that I don't. I'm not one who believes that one has to believe every word of the Bible or else the whole is false. I don't see things in black or white. Everything in life can be our guide to the Father. A God who could only speak therough words written in a book by the hands of men would be a limited God, indeed.
So I have to believe the whole Bible or none of it huh?
Well, I believed and followed the OT way and supported the killing of enemies. Left me full of anger, fear, venegance, hate and bitterness.
After much suffering from all of this, I believed and followed what Jesus said about the Power of Forgiveness and Prayer. Now all fear, hatred and bitterness is gone.
All we can do to find if something works for us, is to try it out. I did my time in the OT way.
I'm not speaking for Jesus. I'm QUOTING from the New Testament what Jesus is quoted as having said.
It is okay for those who do not believe or follow the Way of Jesus to kill enemies or the "bad" guys. But based on what Jesus commanded, I'd expect differently from those who claim Him as their "Savior".
There is no absolute proof that Jesus existed, but there remains His Way in the NT, and Christians claim to be followers of this Way.
CFR! CFR! With a foreign policy adviser like Richard Haas why would you need a vice pres. like Dick Cheney? Cmon people..these guys are all controlled by the same groups that have put America in the mess shes in. If you think there wont still be troops in Iraq after a 4 year huckeabee term your delusional.
Based on the words and actions of Jesus, I know the answer well.
Jesus asked us to "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"...then, when Jesus' enemies were hanging Him on the cross He PRAYED FORGIVENESS for them.
Jesus said people will be known by their actions. Get it???
Do some research, for Christ's sake! Don't be a Huckster!
How dare anyone defy a man of GOD! Let us all gather in prayer and praise the lords wishes and gift cards to our saviour from the depths of terror and abominations that befall us all, amen.
Mike, "Who would Jesus bomb?". This is the only question many are asking that you have yet to answer. Can you please answer the question and put this issue to rest?
"Who would Jesus bomb?" Yes.....that is definately the question that "many" are asking. Give me a break. I am sure that is the question on everyones mind in Iowa tonight. Laughable.
Many are asking this question. Huckabee has yet to answer the question. And he's Christ-ian preacher running for President, right? Therefore, it's a fair question.
I for one will not vote for Huckabee. Go FRED and HUNTER! Hunter is the most ethical candidate running, but for some reason the people are not looking at illegal immigration from a conservative view point. However, they will whine like babies when the next president signs an Amnesty bill.
What more can we expect from a smooth-talking greedy self-serving preacher?
Don't be fooled by that warm fuzzy voice he projects on the tv. He was trained by one of the best in the BUSINESS.
This guy talks about shooting to kill people who don't vote for him and razor blades in bathtubs. No wonder his son tortures animals and he lets convicted killers go free.
As a Christian for 30 yrs, he doen't have me fooled.
