  • were kind of wrong on some of this man

  • Yea. It happens... I'm not psychic or anything. These were just predictions.

Better luck in the second round. lol

    Thanks for watching!

  • ...very good prediction on the ATL MIA

series though, its going to game 7.

and to be honest id really like to see the hawks win it.

  • Yep. A lot of people laughed at me for that one. But D-Wade is just THAT amazing.

    He's my MVP candidate.

But to the Hawks credit, last night they were missing Williams and Horford...

But Game 7 should be a good one.

  • cavs win it all

  • Wow, you're so clever.

I believe EVERY single sports website is saying the same thing. Mainly because it's what they want to see because it sells tickets, and buys viewers, and it's the simplest matchup to contemplate and write about. So please, have an original thought.

And no, the Cavs aren't going to win it all in that matchup. No way.

If it truly is Lakers/Cavs, Kobe's getting his third ring.

But I don't think that will be the matchup.

  • ok am a big spurs fan i thinks its going to be spurs vs lakers in western confrence finals lakers are a good team so are the cavs only 2 loss at home cavs are going to the finals and going to beat the lakers cavs are the better team

  • One difference between the Lakers and the Cavs other than Kobe being far superior to LeBron, and also having Pau Gasol... Oh, and let's not forget Derek Fisher...

    Phil Jackson.

Yea, Mike Brown won coach of the year, which doesn't mean shit. All these season awards mean nothing. Jerry Sloan's never won Coach of the Year, and he's one of the best coaches ever. Mike Brown and Doc Rivers only won these past two years because of the hype of their teams as the best team.

  • ok who do you thinks in going to the finals

  • Honestly, I'm not sure anyone could make a choice at this point.

The safe pick is Lakers/Cavs because both are number 1 seeds. But I don't like safe picks because they're usually not right.

    LA vs ATL/ORL

I think both of those teams have a chance to down the Cavs. Especially Orlando, who blew them out last time they played.

As my friend True Sports Talk keeps saying, Cavs were 3-6 against Lakers, Magic, and Celtics.

So I'm pretty much not betting on the Cavs to go to the Finals.

  • lol ATL Or ORL..nice picks there, both down in the series...LBJJJJJJJJ

  • Umm... your point being? The series isn't over... Stranger things have happened.

ATL played without Marvin Williams in that last game...

Orlando lost in the last seconds... So it wasn't like they just plain sucked in the game.

Just keep watching... Even if it's not one of those teams, I really don't think the Cavs are good enough to get out of the East... and if they do, more power to them. But Kobe's getting that ring this year if he gets to the FInals. For sure.

  • Also, Spurs will not make it to the Conference Finals. If they make it past the Mavs, they're going to go up against the Nuggets most likely. I just don't think they can win 8 games against the Mavs and Nuggets to get to the Lakers.

I just don't see it happening. Sorry. Duncan's not getting any younger, Parker couldn't handle a young PG like Abrea? How's he gonna handle Chauncey Billups who just had the game of his career? And now they don't have a player that can hit key shots like Manu did.

  • i think it will be cavs-lakers in the final and either team could win but im pretty sure kobe already has three rings

  • Wow, can't believe you're the first one to notice the three rings thing. Sorry. Yea, he has 3. I just got caught up in the discussion, and got my numbers messed up.

I still don't think the Cavs have what it takes to make it through the East alive. Celtics are still a decent team even without KG, and Orlando beat them bad the last time they played. I just don't see the Cavs taking the East, and definitely don't see LeBron getting a ring.

In the west, I agree with Lakers. But East is a tossup

  • i think in the finals lakers vs cavs

  • scola totally dismantled aldridge, all that overseas competition made him born ready for this and my spurs drafted him =(....yao didnt even miss a shot!...they should try starting oden next time....he beasted his way to 15 points very quickly and backed down mutombo with ease.....so r u from houston??...im from san antonio

  • You guys (San Antonio) had Scola, but traded him to us.

Dikembe, being 42, did a heck of a job on Oden.

I just posted a new video. I'd really like you to check it out. It talks about Dikembe, Brooks, and Scola.

  • And yes, I'm from Houston. :)

  • well i saw all four games today and will tommorow as well....cuz i'm an nba fanatic and all my friends know that...

looks like you were right about the rockets....i looked too highly upon roy and the blazers...and yea artest/battier is the perfect thing to put on roy

  • I know, right? Did you see what I was talking about with Battier. He can put his whole arm in front of the person who's shooting without fouling. Best guy I've ever seen with that ability. That's what makes him an elite defender in my mind.

    Battier is extremely underrated.

See Artest dive out of bounds for that ball in the first quarter? LOL DAMN.

  • hey good call on boston sweeping chicago. the bulls might sweep the celtics but the block on paul pierce at the end it was clean i thought they were going 2 start handing out technical fouls for flopping?

  • OK, please look up predictions in the dictionary.

It was just a prediction. I was just guessing. Anything can happen in this league. So I was wrong. Like you can predict every series correctly?

  • Boston wins...

    Great teams win Game 7's.

Which, if I'm not mistaken, Boston did quite a few times last year. And again this year.

  • im from boston but after we got thru round 1

its gonna be hard cuz we struggled wit chitown

i think for the conference finals it gonna be

    celtics-cavs

    lakers-nuggets

  • As far as I'm concerned....Chicago won by 10 today. Rediculous how hard the refs cheated Chicago to even make that game close! Starting in the 3rd quarter. Chicago executed in every situation of the game better and was almost robbed! Good game Chicago!

  • NoPlaceLikeHomeField

    hey dumbas its me again!!!

what did i tell you about the bulls?

    did i prove my point?

    what just happened in BOSTON>?

    hahahahahahahahahahaha! bulls baby

  • Well congrats. You won Game 1. By 2 in OT.

What just happened to Boston? They don't have KG. But they still kept Chicago on their toes.

You didn't prove your point, however. It wasn't like they blew out the Celtics. I'd be a lot more willing to side with you if it was a 15-20 point blowout win.

You've still got 3 more to win.

If Chicago does win, that's great. I'd probably be happier if they did win.

But we'll see what happens with the rest of the series. It's gonna be interested.

  • Well, did I prove MY point, dadox85?

Yes, I was wrong in the amount of games... But I don't believe I was wrong with the outcome.

When you're got The Truth on your side... It's hard to lose.

  • I know we talked about this on my video but Miami is going to surprise everyone and take it in 7....When a reporter asked wade about his assesment of the regular season he simply said and i'll quote...Im still angry, I still have something to prove. Can't pick against him even though I admit Atlanta is the better team but its Wade and he's mad

  • Yea, I would love to see D-Wade go off on a team like ATL. It's going to be quite a challenge for him, but I have no doubts he could do it. I just don't know if he could carry that anger through all 7 games, because I think everyone agrees that it's going to 7.

(Btw, I accidentally denied your video response. If you still want to video response my video, send it again, and I'll approve it. I pressed the wrong button by mistake!)

  • whooo i finally found a rockets fan i love u man (nh) ROCKETS ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  • Awesome. Subscribe to me then. I'm planning on branching out and having my own Rockets channel in the future. You'll LOVE that video. This channel, I'm TRYING to be unbiased and look at things from all sides, but for the Rockets page, it's no holds barred smack talk. LOL

But that probably won't be until a month before next season.

    But thanks! Go Rockets!

  • all you picks are logical but i differ in a few...

i think denver will finally get past round 1 even though chris paul is gonna bring his a-game as usual. and i think blazers are deep enough to beat ur rockets with the homecourt and roy's a great leader. i'm worried my spurs wont make it but i'm sticking with em over the mavs. lastly i think miami will beat atlanta because wade is just that special.

  • As far as the Blazers defeating the Rockets I just don't see it happening. As I pointed out on True Sports Talk's NBA Playoffs video, as did the owner of True Sports Talk also made the point of.

Brandon Roy is a great player, but Ron Artest and Shane Battier are two of the best defenders in the league that will take care of him.

Battier's always been an underrated defender. But if you watch him, he's the best at putting his hand right in front of his opponent's face w/o fouling. That's a gift.

  • ye THANK YOU, ppl have been talking up the blazers in beating the rockets and im like FUCK no! finally i find some support

  • Well I'm a Rockets fan. What'd you expect? lol

But yea, tonight was a great game.

  • sorry man. . Houston could do it in 5?? have you watched any of Portlands games. .Dallas beats SA in 6, one thing your forgetting is depth, dallas is thriving at this point in time and SA's heart and soul is injured. other than that i think you right on track.... hawks will dominate the heat

  • I said 6 for Blazers/Rockets but as a Houston fan, I think it's very possible that they could do it in 5 It just depends on what Rockets squad shows up

The more and more I think about it, the more & more I think Dallas will overtake SA but I'm still stickin w/ SA

SA's only got Manu and some dude I've never heard of...

They've still got Duncan, Parker, Finley, Gooden, Bonner, Bowen, Hill, & of course, Coach G-Pop.

I truly believe coaching has a lot to do with how a team does in the playoffs.

  • no hawk wont dominate the heat that is a really retared thing to say even nba anyalist said it goann eb the best series is gonan be a hard faught seris so how the fuck are the goann get dimnianted dumb ass

  • Let me educate you. Hawks took Boston to game 7 last year so they have more experience than Miami. They have bigger guys, and they've only lost 10 games at home all year. Double team Wade and they move on. Hawks 4-2

  • I'm guessing you aren't talking to me when you say this, because I did choose Hawks, but I think in 7 is a better guess. I agree with your theory though. They do have bigger and more athletic guys, and if you double team Wade, he won't be totally helpless, but he definitely won't be able to carry the team to the next round.

I had almost forgotten the Hawks took Boston to 7 games last season. Good stat, Robby.

  • great series man. . , you were right. every game decided by more than 15. once again great series man

  • miami is going to take it in six i say they beat alanta in either first game or second then wint both at home lose in alanta the second time and win in miami again or else i say they win in five i dont see 7 game and also if michael beasley is given minutes he can help wade so he can bring wat alatan is bringing to the table so what u said about that was pretty dumb

  • Wow.

I said I had a hard time with this one. So picking Atlanta was tough. It was honestly a toss up decision. It's not that I don't think Miami can win, because I know they can, but I picked Atlanta to get off of the fence about it. There's really no need to call what I said dumb, because it's not.

    Bibby-Chalmers?

    Johnson-Wade

    J.Smith- Beasley

    M. Williams-O'Neal

    Horford-Haslem

I have to go with ATL. Don't want to, but to not stay on the fence, that's my decision. Sorry if it displeases you.

  • no it didint displease uand i diditn mean to call it dumb but so i apolgise but i would say miami take this one

  • It's cool. Everyone's got their own opinion. I really like Wade, but here's how I look at it.

In my honest opinion, looking at both I'd love to have every player off the Atlanta's starting 5 on the Rockets. WIth Miami, I could really only say Wade and Beasley because O'Neal has been doing nothing but declining since before he left the Pacers. :-/ And I've never really been impressed with Haslem, & Chalmers is still evolving, but I have high hopes for him.

I just think ATL's got the advantage.

  • well during the off season jermaine oneal si goign to train with the trainer that wade used tim something ithink hahah but yeah

wade and beasley right no are the only real threats for the heat unless palyer liek moon cook james jone and if luther head comes back and they all step up

  • I definitely am a fan of Luther. Former Rocket. I was sad to see him go, but we just didn't have a place for him, and he deserves to play for a team where he can get the minutes he deserves. He's very talented.

  • isnt rockets pg brooks y didint u guys usehim as back up

  • isnt your guys pg liek brooks and y didint you keep him and paly him as back up

  • Aaron Brooks is a great guy. For my birthday present from my best friend, I got a basketball autographed by him.

He's also a great player. He was the reason we beat the Suns the first Friday in April. He matched Nash shot for shot. It was awesome.

Kyle Lowry is why we didn't keep Luther. The Rockets have been trying to get him for a long time, & they finally got him. Wafer was showing more progress than Head when T-Mac was down. He just didn't have a place. But I hope for the best for him!

  • This guys an idiot... bulls lose in 4?

    ur an idiot!!!!

    Bulls will upset the celtics!

  • Wow. I'm an idiot? Really?

Thanks for giving me some stats to prove me wrong though?

Here's my thoughts: Boston won the regular season 2 - 1 as follows:

    Oct 31: at Boston 96, Chicago 80

    Dec 19: at Boston 126, Chicago 108

    Mar 17: at Chicago 127, Boston 121

So basically, Chicago was blown out the first two games by 16 and 18 points, and only managed to win the last game by a margin of 6. But the Bulls are going to win?

Even without KG, the Celtics are still a better TEAM than the Bulls.

  • orlando magic nba champs 2009

  • That is honestly who I would love to see win. I love D-Howard.

I don't like LBJ and definitely am not a fan of Kobe. And of course Celtics are not much of anything without KG.

So really all that's left that's legitimate is Orlando. But I'm still hoping my Rockets can surprise their skeptics because I truly believe they have a great team with great depth. They just can't seem to get it together some nights.

    :-\

  • Isn't it nauseating how everyone on the globe wants a Cleveland vs Los Angeles match-up in the NBA Finals? Geez, talk about mundane. I, however, am pretty confident that there's a couple of teams in each Conference that are going to be able to surprise everyone but preventing both the Cavaliers and Lakers from moving on.

Don't be surprised if you see a shocking Orlando and Houston rematch in the 2009 NBA Finals. =D

  • I would die of complete happiness. Not kidding. Haha.

Yea, Cavs and Lakers is a very likely scenario, but I don't think the Cavs will make it.

As much as I hate to say it, I do believe the Lakers will go to the Finals again, which very much sucks, but I think the Rockets are the only team (besides Portland) that has kept the Lakers on their toes, but not even the Rockets can seem to contain Kobe.

East, I would love to see Orlando, Miami, or even Chicago in the Finals.

  • I think Houston matches best against Los Angeles mainly due to their center position. I believe Yao Ming can easily sustain Andrew Bynum just as he has with all the other big-time centers in the NBA. As for Kobe Bryant, I believe it takes a little bit of concentrated defense to keep him at bay. Ron Artest and Shane Battier can definitely pull that off for four games. But, we'll see what happens.

Although Los Angeles is likely to win, I'm not counting out Utah on this First Round Series.

  • why do you need to look down at the standings to see the matchups?

  • Thanks for noticing. What a nice comment. Ugh.

I'm pretty damn sure I only looked down once to actually LOOK at the matchups for the East to make sure I got the teams right.

Is it a crime to check my information? Most sports reporters/broadcasters all have notes and cue cards to go by. I don't. I usually go from memory. In that particular instance, I was unsure of the East matchups, & glanced to make sure.

So stop asking ridiculous questions, and start worrying about Minn. Wolves draft picks

  • Lakers vs Rockets

    Hornets vs Spurs

    CAvaliers vs Hawk

    Magic vs Celtics

  • Hey, those are my picks! Haha.

    Smart picks. lol

  • Rockets all the way baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rockets aint beatin lakers are u serious? lol i hope they do tho

  • Nope, that's my friend Macneal. We're just both hardcore fans. Gotta believe!

Maybe Kirilienko will knock the sheeit outta Kobe in the first round. lol. Dreams can come true!
