@scrumdr friend I can better understand ur feeling for I myself a Indian but really dont know why my being longs for central Asia esp eastern Kazakh, Altai Rep. of russia, mongolia and northern xinjiang of china. I feel a great sense of relief whenever i see any pics videos or just listen to altai kai.... I wish to go there n spend a lot of time wandering in the steppes!

@sulfunn I think it's because there's an amazing purity to the landscape. Wide open land under a wide open sky. No buildings, no trees, nothing to stop you from seeing forever. If there is water, it's crystal. I find it very appealing too.
