@drake123josh Revving isn't all that harmful to an engine as long as you don't rev it during at least the first 2-3 mins after starting. 80-90% of all mechanical engine wear occurs during the first few minutes after startup where the oil has settled into the pan/congealed and the pump needs to pressurize the system with oil.
@drake123josh Keep in mind that that "80-90%" figure is for NORMAL engines used in road legal situations, race engines and otherwise high performance way beyond stock engines are a totally different kettle of worms.
