I'm a veteran myself and using the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Any service member that has served after 9/11/01 can qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Just have to switch from Montgomery GI Bill to the 9/11 GI Bill. If he tapped into the Montgomery GI Bill he might be out of luck. They'll even give vets a 2nd chance for the Post 9/11 GI Bill that didn't pay into it on the initial enlistment. But I also agree that any vet that served our country, NO MATTER THE SEPARATION PERIOD, SHOULD QUALIFY FOR 9/11 GI

1- It costs more money to constantly keep training new recruits. He wants soldiers to stay in the army as long as possible so he can send them to war again and again.
2- Putting money into healthcare for the wounded is a waste for McCain. He needs the money going towards keeping the military machine oiled. You get hit he need to spend that money training more recruits and persuading your buddies not to leave!
A lot of people didn't catch on and they are not thinking this far ahead and the outrage it's going to cause with his political voters. It's already in the works on how this war is going to continue throughout McCain's entire term, placing the American people in more harms way, drafting the young America.

McCains argument is that if the government makes college more affordable for the troops, they might be inclined to leave the military, rather than re-enlist. Webb, who said McCain is full of it, has argued that a) the troops deserve better educational benefits; and b) it might help with military recruiting if people knew they could go to college after their service. Webb is our Senator in Virgina & we love him! And he's a Vietnam Vet & has a son in Iraq.

I'm a veteran myself and using the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Any service member that has served after 9/11/01 can qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Just have to switch from Montgomery GI Bill to the 9/11 GI Bill. If he tapped into the Montgomery GI Bill he might be out of luck. They'll even give vets a 2nd chance for the Post 9/11 GI Bill that didn't pay into it on the initial enlistment. But I also agree that any vet that served our country, NO MATTER THE SEPARATION PERIOD, SHOULD QUALIFY FOR 9/11 GI

1- It costs more money to constantly keep training new recruits. He wants soldiers to stay in the army as long as possible so he can send them to war again and again.
2- Putting money into healthcare for the wounded is a waste for McCain. He needs the money going towards keeping the military machine oiled. You get hit he need to spend that money training more recruits and persuading your buddies not to leave!

You seriously need to do a little research on who voted for what when it came to assisting veterans.
John McCain skipped 10 of 14 votes on Iraq, and on at least another 10 occasions, he voted against arming and equipping the troops, providing adequate rest for the troops between deployments and for health care or other benefits for veterans. He also refused to vote on the Current GI Bill.
Maybe instead of this blind loyalty, you might do a little research.

You know, I did five years in the military and I simply dug into the voting records. You might do it yourself instead of giving this blind loyalty to the republicans.
I mean if you do a little reading, you might find who really gives a shit soldiers. Or for the most part were ever soldiers themselves.

John McCain could care less about veterans! He cares about them as much as John Kerry does! What a joke! McCain exploits his service! His service serves him only and not others. Yeah he was a POW and all. He also was a Pilot and Kerry was a swift boat BITCH! How about being an 11Bravo, or a Green Beret, or Force Recon, even an MP or something! NCOS are and always will be the backbone of the Armed Forces! Those are the Real Troops!

McCain isn't a war hero. McCain got shot down. If we're going to have a war hero for a president, I want a war hero that supports the VA the way it should be supported and i want a war hero that kept that fucking plane in the air.

I'm a veteran twice of Iraq and I see a man who has the attitude of the son of an Admiral that was given a free ride through the Naval Academy. POW status aside, I have no respect for the man. The IAVA graded him a D on support of his very own, fellow veterans. He doesn't stand for us and seems to have no respect for us. He just believes we should be a given vote for him. And because of that he will not get my vote and shouldn't from veterans. He hasn't earned it.

McCains argument is that if the government makes college more affordable for the troops, they might be inclined to leave the military, rather than re-enlist. Webb, who said McCain is full of it, has argued that a) the troops deserve better educational benefits; and b) it might help with military recruiting if people knew they could go to college after their service. Webb is our Senator in Virgina & we love him! And he's a Vietnam Vet & has a son in Iraq.
