I had an 02 model and got in a bad wreck with it. A 2001 ford f150 hit me on the drivers side going in excess of 30 mph running a red light. everyone was ok aside from my friend who got seatbelt burn
We own one, never had any problems... just wanted to say this thing is reliable, in excellent condition, and this video only reaffirms my suspicions that it's great in safety also :)
The Japanese government just made Toyota recall the Sequoias for a third time for safety issues. Do your research before you even think about buying a Toyota right now.
The Sequoias that were sold in America were *assembled* in America....it was a design flaw that caused the safety issue with the Sequoia. That flaw existed in both the Sequoias produced in Japan and the ones produced in the US. The Japanese government did a better job than the US govt about forcing Toyota to issue the recalls.
its a fucking SUV id rather be in this then a fucking "safe" toyota camry. Small cars that are said to be safe may be but if they got in a crash with an SUV... There fuckeddd
hey at least your still alive skooty and I don't think any other car maker can beat the sequoia in reliability durability and safety. Besides toyota did issue a recall so I took my 02 in and it was fixed no hassle.
My Sequoia rolled over after the wheel fell off at 55 MPH - one roll and the A-pillars half collapsed. Another couple rolls and I would have been killed by Toyota's shoddy manufacturing. Worst part is, the whole thing could have been avoided had they just issued a recall for the lower front ball joint that they had known was defective for months. Toyota is way too concerned with profits right now - buy anything else.
me too, the platnium version

Thats still safe. Buy the 2001 Sequoia. There's nothing wrong with it. Also, look for the upcoming 2008 Toyota sequoia.
