I have the same set of Prismacolor colored pencils. Prismacolor ♥, good for blending ^_^

I agree. Sometimes I wonder why I haven't used colored pencils very much in my art career. And then I think on how much faster and easier it is to splash around with a big old paint brush.

Colored pencils require much more patience. :D

Oh they do require a lot of patience and I'm not a very patient person when it comes to doing art. Yet colored pencils are my medium of choice. When I do make something completly w/colored pencils I take a LOT of breaks if I don't I'll get too upset and never finish the project, sadly I have a few of those unfinished pieces. I'm just starting to use paint but for some reason I find it difficult to use rather than colored pencils. Why could that be?

I have found it difficult to make the transition from one art medium to another. I used watercolors only for years and switching to oils and acrylics nearly made me crazy for a while. I still can't use easels comfortably because I like to paint on a flat surface. And you draw on a flat surface, too.

Each medium requires different tools and techniques, so I like to switch around and increase my versatility. I still don't know which medium is my favorite. :D

I see. That is probably the reason I am also having difficulty using easels. Well, thank you very much for the information. It helped me get some insight on why I was having problems transitioning.

Sue...thank you! As usual, there are things in the artwork that I want to change. But rarely do I ever finish a piece that I don't want to change somehow. LOL I've probably made 10 paintings out of thousands that I was totally happy with. It's what artists do...
