@pieman7771 Also, the confederates DID use snipers in the civil war, though very crude and inacurate like aiming a tiny cannonball with out seeing what you were shooting at, made being out in the open lined up like that very dangerous. Simply put, THEY DID NOT FIGHT IN LINES LIKE THE REVOLUTION. Sure they stayed together and used large formations but they didn't just line up and shoot at each other.

While I learned my facts from study and a collage history course, while you learned from a rigged TV show were the only thing thats a fact is that they want more viewers. The rifled barrel tech made fire arms more accurate, so they had to hide behind trees and stuff. Not to mention you now have artillery blasting your ass, something that is shown in the video. There is a reason the civil war is considered the first modern war by many people.
@pieman7771 You fail history forever buddy. This wan't the Napoleonic wars.THEY HAD RIFLES IF YOU USED THAT TACTIC YOU WOULD BE SLAUGTERED! They only reason they lined up was because muskets shot like shit so they had to throw as many bullets into one place as possible. Besides, the Americans beat the British in the Revolution due to guerrila tactics rather than lineing up like an excecution.
