iluvfatchx is right, the line should come off the spool the same way it goes on the reel. if your reel turns counterclockwise then the line should come off the spool counterclockwise. If your reel turns clockwise the the line should come off the spool clockwise.

Can only come off one way if you tried other way line would wrap back around the spool

This is a great tip unless you have the Daiwa Twisbuster feature like i have on the Windcast Z.......then this makes this the wrong way!
