  • I want Elder scrolls 3 so bad

  • @tardoin97 get it fo computer or youll be sorry :)

  • OMG! I love this so much. The Oblivion theme made me homesick for Morrowind. So majestic and stirring. To bad Skyrim has crap for an intro. I knew I would arrive as a prisoner (we always do) but to launch right in to the game is so empty

  • BETHESDA NEEDS ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS... LIKE HALO!!!

  • The original was much, much better.

  • It'd be nice if Skyrim brought us a remastered version of this song to pay homage to Morrowind. They maybe give us a remastered version of "Snowfall" from TES2:Daggerfall.

  • I proudly stand here and say that Morrowind is still the best TES game so far. but i will be happy if Skyrim proves me wrong

  • Remake of this music is in SKyrim Trailer :D

  • I think Oblivion's intro is the quite bad. Why, you ask? Because it's totally pointless. All it has is the Emperor babbling about random things. The previous games had intros that actually made sense, introducing the story etc. It seems to me that they wanted to make Oblivion's "intro" as epic as possible -in which they succeeded- to appeal more to the mass audience so they don't get bored and quit during the first seconds of the introduction.

Here's hoping Skyrim's will be better.

  • I like it. Much better than the Pirates of the Caribbean clone in Oblivion's intro.

  • I liked it =)

  • Both games are awesome but i'm sure skyrim will be THE BEST!

  • I just replaced all music in oblivion with music from morrowind lol

  • awesum!!! this song comes to in oblivion for real :D

  • Well done! Perfect song for Oblivion.

  • Wow that's just undeniably better

  • Blasphemy.

  • @Tiger2073 Well, it is better than Oblivion:)

And BTW: It´s called Morrowind not Morrowing;)

  • this reminds me when i beat the game, as the eyes of evil stared at me he knew who i was but the power of akatosh had banned dagon forever and forever saving tamriel, for now...

  • Man i liked it)) And i desided to make better edit to intro oblivion woth morrowind theme

  • @AbsoluteQualityAQ

Glad you liked it. I probably could have done a better edit myself considering I made this one in 2006. ;)

This was purely made to help me learn how to use WMM. I never expected over 64,000 views!

  • @elvenslayer

Oh)) I see)) I want the same result of views)) sorry for my bad english)

  • @elvenslayer And thank you for making the idea of Intro with morrowind theme ^ ^

  • Oh but in anycase, this music goes along with the video perfectly and I believe it could go in the game as well.

  • a more peaceful and calming intro, but still pretty cool

  • Looks like when they created this intro Bethesda basicly improved something. Look at Imperial City ingame Compared to this .. The walls here are alot more huge.. The graphics are better, There are guards ON the walls and you can see the distan land and textures all from one cell .. weird

  • Not bad! But better with the original music... :/

  • oh man i get the chills with this song...amazing!

  • Why does it seem this music fits the video so perfect? DId they use the same epicness in the last song for the Oblivion song?

  • doesnt the imperial city from the view in the beginning remind you of the city in FFVII?

  • You did a awesome job, man. This fits perfectly.

  • it's like impossible to like Morrowind or warm up to it after playing Oblivion first. I only got into like half an hour of playing Morrowind. I guess I'll never understand it's appeal. :\

  • @twentytwox2 Know how you feel, After playing morrowind for a year i found out about oblivion and got that game, Played it for a few months and when i wanted to go back to morrowind i just couldn't... Getting used to flawless movements and high quality graphics makes it hard for you to forgive morrowinds minor flaws.

  • @twentytwox2 Hmmm.... I´ve played Morrowind and Oblivion several times and despite Oblivion having great graphics and all, I just can´t stop missing all the content and the detail these things had. Hell, I spend almost half an hour trying to decide which Dunmer great house I should join in Morrowind, lol:D

  • Morrowinds theme music reminds me about safety, in some way. And that's why it fits so well with this video, because the Imperial City reminds me about safety to. Morrowind & Oblivion forevah

  • There is a guy in Morrowind that reminds me about Tarzan...

  • the music doesnt fit. morrowind was morrowind.. oblivion is totally different.. newspaper :D

  • Does anyone else find it disturbing how HUGE the guard at 0:41 is?

  • @Graylord88 hahaha i havent even noticed it!

  • The Morrowind music is great, but it doesnt fit the epicness of the Imperial city and the turmoil that will soon engulf Cyrodiil

  • prefer the oblivion theme but still works well

  • Morrowind theme makes me want to explore the huge world of morrowind, just go out on adventures to find new persons to meet or new enemies to kill. The oblivion theme makes me want to kill people in-game :D

  • These games seem to almost taunt me in a sence on how beutiful our world was once because obveously it was something just like morrowind and oblivion before polution and tech. But all in all i get lost in the two games thanks so much to music and fantastic landscapes...

  • u should go to new zeland

  • The Morrowind version of the theme is way better than the Oblivion version.

  • i allready have oblivon but i am getting morrowind this weekend, it looks like shivering isles but more interesting!

  • morrowind is great i have tryed it the battle system sucks and no fast travel = annoying but apart from that its great

  • didn't this song also play in one of the oblivion trailers?

  • no in a morrowind trailer it was

  • Morrowind is the best game of my childhood :D

  • Like the Asianorient said

Oblivion is a playground, but Morrowind is our home.

  • Oh guy, Im crying already :D

  • @Leandros33 that's epic said, man

  • I like that what you said!I comply!

  • @Leandros33 whos asianorient

  • @Leandros33 agreed :)

  • @Leandros33 Never played Morrowind, so I'm forced to have to beg to differ.

  • @NeverContactMe If you have´nt ever played Morrowind, then you should definitely try it out:).... It would also help explain some of the things the people in Cyrodiil in Oblivion are bragging on about when talking about "the Nerevarine" and "the trouble in the province of Morrowind";)

  • @Nekhet Does it explain that "necrophilia" reference?

  • @NeverContactMe Haha:D. Aaahh yes I remember her. Quite the character she was that Dunmer;). Well, in Morrowind you get told laot that the dead are very sacred to the Dunmer. That´s the reason why they hate the undead and necromancers so much.. It should´nt surprise me if they dislike necrophilians too, lol:D

  • @Nekhet TNT!

  • @NeverContactMe Sadly they don´t have that ;)

  • @Nekhet TNT = Righteous or Awesome

  • @NeverContactMe Yes, I know. I was just playing with you:)

  • @Leandros33 I hardly see how a province of crazy natives is home...

  • @Leandros33 Omg This deserves a million of "thumbs up"

  • @Marcheing

eh... i'll settle for forty two, thanks though.

  • @Leandros33

you speak the truth you handsome devil you

  • @Leandros33

    why thank you good sir

  • @Leandros33 That was beautiful.

  • Fitted very well in the start, but the rough and fast zoom on the prison didn't quite fit to well :P

  • I love this game but I wish the "Battle" of Bruma was more Epic like Pelanore Fealds in LotR. The fact that 12 people showed up still bugs me. "Thanks for saving our city... I will send our army of two people to u ok."

  • @wormywils kid...

  • @omuploii I still think i am but my paerants are like "Grow up your fucking 15 years old! Stop playing video games and get a job!" Oh well.

  • and i thought they'd use their unlimited guard respawns

  • It's "Pelennor Fields".

  • Yeah true.. I was looking forward to an epic battle with like a huge army.. but I was surprised that only a few guys showed..

But i still love this game anyways

  • He said specifically to go to other cities to gather reinforcements...If you do every city, you will have about 30-40 ppl

  • the first elder scrolls game i bought was oblivion, i saw my friend playing it at his house when it first came out, so i bought it and played it to hours on end, then just resently i bought morrowind, bought great, presiouse memmories

  • The way I see it, the music fits perfect if the Oblivion gates were already closed and Martin was dead, but the gates and Daedra are yet to poor out.

  • I think Morrowind sounds like a defiant, proud march against an overwhelming enemy.

Oblivion's more like a last heroic charge.

Morrowing has more grit, more gravity to it, while Oblivion is faster, more hectic. Both serve their respective purposes EXCELLENTLY.

  • @nakenmil

OH MY GOD - that was the best explanation of the two games ever! No need to continue arguing over which is better now. :D

  • no oblivions needs to me more epic, louder, know what i mean? morrowinds is more serene definenetly.

  • Only the beginning match

But i gove you for this epic video 5 and a half star ;D

  • Doesn't suit ;p

  • GEIL!! Ein teil des intro mit der music von Morrowind? Mein gott das ist geil!

  • Hmm i must say this despite what everyone thinks but the intro vid does not fit Morrowinds music.

im not saying that it would be bad for Oblivion but the vid needs to look more onto the entire province insted of just the city to fit in. i say this cause when i hear Morrowinds music i thought Honorable Warrior fighting for his land while holding ono great traditions. also i listedned to it before playing morrowind. just bought it ;p then Oblivions makes me think of a great city and ships & docks

  • I don't really know how to express this, but, here it goes:

The music DOES suit perfectly with the video, however, I don't think it really suits IN it. I mean, Morrowind is a crazy province, half terroriezed , half in love with three "gods" and with almost half of it being isolated because of a deadly disease. The music sounds like a perfect "description" of it. However, Cyrodiil is a calm, dreamy province, with the only trouble of some Daedric prince trying to conquer it every century or so.

  • @masterplusmargarita Except after Dagoth Ur was defeated by the Nerevarine, it is no longer terrorized and the blight is gone. Also at the end of Tribunal, an expansion pack for Morrowind, you kill one of those three gods, but anyway yah pretty much. (sorry if I sound like a jerk)

  • @owlpaw8 "No longer terrorized????" During the Crisis in Cyrodiil the province of Morrowind has been invaded by both the Nords and the Argonians.... And it does´nt look like the Dunmer are going to win (some of the Great Houses have already fallen). And the Nerevarine can´t help since he/she has decided to go on a vacation in the always sunny and delightfully dangerous Akavir..

So despite Dagoth Urs defeat and the fall of the Tribunal Morrowind is still fucked up.

  • @masterplusmargarita You kidding me? The emperor died along with his sons, theres one heir left and he has to be found and protected at all costs and the enemy even ends up taking the amulet of kings. And there is oblivion portals everywhere with daedra spawning out....Cyrodiil is not dreamy with "ONLY" some trouble of a daedric prince trying to conquer it...because he comes pretty damn close seeing as how he had a cult backing him up and assassinated the emperor and his sons.

  • @TheTrueUSPatriot Yeah, the "Oblivion Crisis" was pretty bad. But it's pretty obvius tha it doesn't happen ALL THE TIME. According to Lore found in the game itself, the last major problem in Cyrodiil was a war with the Akaviri over 1000 years before this takes place. So it IS a dreamy province, just not at the time the game takes place (And it usually takes less than an in-game year to stop the invasion). Anyway, I don't want to argue over a videogame, and I say we agree to disagree.

  • @TheTrueUSPatriot What strike me as odd though is that eventhough Cyrodiil is littered with oblivion gates, cultists worshipping Mehrunes Dagon, deadric monsters etc. etc., there really was´nt that great a feeling of an impeding invasion by perhaps one of the most dangerous foes The Empire ever would encounter...

Everything just seemed so clean, nice and calm. It was only in very few cases that there was a sense of trouble:S

  • @masterplusmargarita lol you make it sound like it's nothing.

    i laughed.

  • @masterplusmargarita

Morrowind Theme = Calm that's why it fits in Cyrodill because Cyrodill is also a calm Province

Oblivion Theme Fits Morrowind more Because of the more Aggressive feel of the theme

  • @masterplusmargarita Then it would fit perfectly, as this song is much more beautiful than the Oblivion theme.

  • Is it me, or does the guard in the intro (walking in one of the districts after it says "OBLIVION") look to be as big as the trees? O___O

  • Yeah, there's two guards in this intro, probably a flop, I don't see why they were there.

The engine they used to render this scene was probably a highly modified version of the Oblivion engine too, as the screen effects and shaders used are much different, and it's also scaled down a ton, probably so that the camera can move across the world as fast as it did.

  • Yeah, very interesting! That seems to sound pretty much right. I should look more into stuff like that to get a general knowledge of the field. :)

    Thanks for the info!

  • Or actually. I think that they did this on purpose. I think they created a whole new intro with completely different graphics for a reason. It's kind of telling the setting with calming music and just a twirl around what will be the location that you will see most in the game. Since the imperial tower is right in the middle of Cyrodil, panning the camera around it will create a complete and perfect sense of the story's setting; maybe even making the player start using more imagination. :)

  • No, it was done this way because it couldn't have been done in regular Oblivion, as you can see, when the camera flies over the Imperial City, you can see all of the buildings and such, Oblivion's cities are in different worldspaces, so going over them shows blank terrain, you can also notice the mountains, trees, sky, etc were rendered differently.

  • Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the info again. I really do need to look into this more. :D

  • There isn't really much info specifically regarding the Oblivion intro, I just applied my logic from dealing with stuff like this a lot. :P

  • That's what I'm talking about. I want to look into more on graphics and jazz like that. :D

    A million times thanks! :3

  • Yeah, the guards were kind of unnecessary, dunno why they added them to the intro, as it kind of screwed up the sense of scale.

  • no?

  • Well, then your perception on scale and size is terrible. :)

  • due to the fact that armor you can find is leveled, meaning beating the hardest person in the game and taking their armor would mean 5-8 levels later it's practically useless (but perhaps as a souce of income[a reason why money isn't really a problem]). In Morrowind you can use armor you find for a very long time (depending on armor itself and your skill[like having the best heavy armor in the game with low heavy armor skill isn't too rewarding]), maybe forever. Why did I waste 2 blocks? I'ono.

  • The Morrowind intro doesn't really work well with Oblivion. Mainly because the Morrowind intro has a much more vast feel. But the Oblivion intro knid of describes it (No I have no idea what I'm talking about). In Morrowind, traveling and roaming was easily possible, and sometimes rewarding. But in Oblivion it's more to-the-point and, since money is rarely a problem in Oblivion (even without glitches) roaming is more unneeded and not rewarding in the slightest, (continued [long comment lulz])

  • all the elder scrolls are good but u cnt go around play elder scrolls II any more can u the ghrapics suk now considering if u look at oblivion ! but they still all awsome games :P

  • ah yes why not?! ahh great music.. i'm now in mood to play morrowin! thanks 5/5

  • In my opinion Oblivion is supposed to have grand, epic-sounding music, because it's a grand, epic game.

Or at least, that's what Bethesda was aiming for. Didn't work too well in my opinion.

  • It does not compose, Oblivion intro needs strong and noisy music :). Morrowind's theme is slow and soft.

  • I personally prefer Oblivion but thats just me.

  • It takes time to get used to.

  • maybe the torrent sucks cause morrowind is a really good game some poeple say even better than oblivion

  • what do you mean torrent sucks?if you can run the game and torrent isnt fake its a good torrent..i could run it played it for about 10 hours since then by now and it simply is weak old ugly boring and confusing

  • i ment maybe it was a bad torrent like when you download one that runs really slow or freezes, anyway everyone has there own opinion but a lot of people loved morrowind

  • if i said oblivion is better then morrowind would anyone get mad at me because i prefer oblivion over morrowind thats just me!

  • Same me... I tryed Morrowind after I played Oblivion, and it worked out like I got very disepointed at Morrowind just as those who played Morrowind first got disepointed(im not quite sure how to spell disepointed) of Oblvion.

  • Yeah.... that's the whole secret behind the neverending discussion of which is better ^^ I like how you change perspectives.

  • the music is so nice and it fits here well. nice job.

  • Morrowind is WAY better than Oblivion. Oblivion is way too dumbed down.

  • It really is tbh, You must be a graphics whore or something not to enjoy morrowind.

  • Its da best song in the Entire world I listen to it like 17 times a day!

  • i love this song

  • Just speed up the music and you got oblivion

  • this music is too calm for oblivion : P

  • The beginning (With the drums) and the mountain in the background almost felt Montana-ish / Native American , awesome soundtrack.

  • Personally, I'd say it felt more "Lord of the Rings"-ish for me. And likwise, it is an awesome soundtrack.

  • I live in Montana and trust me if you haven't been here you don't know what you are missing. Most people say it is a boring state but that is because most of them are electronic fans. The sights and sounds are beautiful, Especially in Glacier National Park. You have to come see this place for yourself and I agree the music fits Montana well.

  • The music fit's the background perfectly, 5/5 faved

  • lol

  • If the next ElderScrolls mixed Oblivion's voice acting, physics, detail, with Morrowind's unparalleled immersiveness and sense of mystery/adventure..it would be the most addicting, time consuming, gpa reducing, hot-pocket eating game of all time....

  • Pretty Good, don't you think?

  • Oblivion is a Playground...but Morrowind is our home : ]

  • Holy shit, how did you come up with that? I couldn't come up with that in a thousand years? you should be Obama or something.

  • Lol ; D

  • morrowind is like a book.. oblivion is too modernized, no magic felt.Just a plain game from middle ages

  • There should really be more people in the Imperial City.

  • The people in GTA aren't special

  • I love it so much...

I wish I had more time and courage to play it!

You need to interwine with this beautiful world...

But it's so much work for the player.

During my holidays I will begin with Morrowind again.

And I will play, like I never did in the past years!

  • Yeah man! Raise your glass man!

  • moorowind is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

but to be true, oblivion is actually the best!!

but the games are very different but also in one way very same...

  • morowind, never beat it, but i still flippin love tha game.

oblivion, BEST GAME EVER MADE! there is not one game as addicting and as good as oblivion, don't ever challenge tis, that game is %99 of the perfect game.

  • i agree to you with 100% but oblivion got 1thing that would make this game even more awesome (i talk about multiplayer mod like on sa-mp) imagine like 100-150 players fighting each other in imperial city :)

  • so true,, which is what i was totally hoping for on the next elder scrolls ( NEXT YEAR!!!) cant flippin wait. and ive lready destroyed everything on oblivion, i have nun left to do. but yah, im hopin for multiplayere on the next one. something like runescape maybe??

  • Ahah i can hear the voices of a dark elf inside of my head "The Nerevarine! I am honored!" Not complaining though it was MUCH better than "BY ASURA BY ASURA BY ASURA!!! IT"S THE GRAND CHAMPION!" Hey so I've got vista and apparently my version of morrowind doesn't work with vista, anyone have any fixes for that? I REALLY want to play this game again after hearing that.

  • WINE? its a windows emulator even though WINE stands for wine is not an emulator, try that.

  • Will do man thanks.

  • if still don't work do as follows:

    1.install the game

    2.make an icon to desktop

3.right click on it and then click "properties"

    4. then press compatible (or something like that, i got dutch pc :) ) and then set it on windows XP... you'l get it when you see it ;) please reply or this has worked yes or no :) tnx

  • Holy crap man it worked!! Thanks a bunch man!

  • morrowind music sounds better than the oblivion one...

  • the morrowind music is great! i dono what it is about it! it just makes u feel great, gets me all pumped up! for that 5/5

  • Wow thats awesome! Morrowing theme fits perfectly!

  • Although I prefer the Morrowind music, the Oblivion theme fits that sequence excellently and is one of the best game intro's I've ever seen.

I don't think the Morrowind theme really fits it.
