Why is he not wearing the beautiful costume and mask? Its not fair that all the LND music vids are done in contemporary street clothes, and not in theatrical costume. His voice is amazing! Wonderful production--shame LND didn't win.

Ramin and everyone are doing a fantastic job! Congrats on them on booking through 2012--Screw the critics! "BAD REVIEWS MEAN NOTHING!" Many people LOVE this show! It is majestic and wonderful as the original when taken on its own. GO SEE IT LIVE AT THE ADELPHI!

Ramin Karimloo is an extremely talented man with a voice people would die for.The reason why he didn't win was because LND is a very, very hated show and the majority of people and critics and the Olivier committee feel that the LND version of the Phantom is a slap across the real Phantom's face. They think that Ramin's portrayal (which of course he isn't in control of) of the Phantom in LND is very insulting and inaccurate because everyone knows that Erik would never act or talk that way

@NutmegGiry The reason he didn't win was because there are better performers playing better roles in better shows. If they had wanted to snub LND, they wouldn't have given them 7 nominations. You're sounding very ignorant by saying that a performer isn't in control of a portrayal. And trust me, the Olivier panel doesn't give a damn about what 'Erik' would say or do or if the original POTO must be 'protected', they care about the level of someone's performance. And therefore, David Thaxton won.

I think that ramin karimloo is a wonderful performer, and this song especially is beautiful. It's a shame Mr Karimloo didn't win, however david thaxton in passion was incredible and I'm glad he got the recognition his performance deserved.

I really admire the LND cast for being proud of their show and for making these public appearances in the face of such harsh criticism from both haters and theater blogger/critics. The trend in musical theater right now seems to be light escapism like Legally Blond, so shows with substance like Phantom, LND and Les Miz and Sondheim's shows are not as popular with the public as they once were. I do wish LND would have gotten at least one award.

perfect as always .. we really most be living in a crazy world cause ramin totally deserve the award he is sooo breathtaking one of the best voices ever... but i know one day ramin will get an olivier cause he is such a great performer

HOW, in the name of the good Lord, did he not win??!!! This is breath-taking, and every time I hear him sing this amazing song, it brings tears to my eyes. :')
