it's been years since masterchief has been in cryo slumber, the war between humans and convenant ended and tech. has evolved. Armour IS better, as well as weapons. More intriquite designes aswell.
I think 343 should just keep it simple, get rid of every armor ability instead of sprint and evade. Make overshields and active camo pick ups like they were in Halo 1,2,3.
I don't kno if youve covers this yet but I was reading glasslands and it said the armor repaired and upgraded its self by nano technology. I go to thinking maybe that's why master chiefs armor looks diierent just an idea. Hope halo4follower sees this

@Arvilian It wasnt a rocket, just a normal pistol bullet, but when in 0 gravity, it moves slower and is much more visible. Just your average pistol, nothing more, nothing less.

Halo's not a particularly fast paced game, either. If you want a load of What-the-hell-is-going-on action, go play CoD. They're VERY difficult to master to use effectively. And invis, for pussies? Just because you don't know how to use these abilities doesn't mean they're bad. You're just bad AT them.
No, I can use them just fine. I love how most people do terribly without armor abilities. I enjoy using sprint as it doesn't make me invisible or invincible. COD is full of campers, so I stopped playing that a long time ago. I can kill someone just as easily and quickly in Reach as long as I can see them and they aren't invincible. I have never seen anyone with good stats who use those armor abilities.

Because although I can function above averagely WITHOUT armour abilities, there's nothing wrong with them, and they add extra spice to the game. It's like giving someone a rocket launcher but telling them they can only kill people by throwing it at them; It just doesn't work. Armor abilities are there to be utilised- So I utilise them.
I check stats of just about everyone in matchmaking to know what I'm up against. Low rank? I'm coming close to becoming a Nova. Last time I checked the rank Eclipse isn't a low rank. I get put up against more Forerunners, Reclaimers, and Inheritors in one week than you probably do in several months. Your reasons are invalid.

@cornchips88 Very much agreed. I really hope Halo 4 is like One or Two as far as the campaign goes. It needs blood and gore, great music, and a campaign that will keep peoples minds in awe and wonder. Halo 3 and Reach to me were just different types of multi-player games to play. I was not fond of the campaigns whatsoever, especially when Halo Reach broke cannon by creating a fake team which is Noble Team.

And FYI, the DMR and BR are completely different. DMR takes less skill and only needs point-and-shoot logic to use. BR actually requires you to use your head due to the fact that, like modern day firearms, the projectile does not travel at the speed of light and actually has to intersect it's target's path. :/

What 343 needs to do, is go back to the original gameplay, and add something to it. No need to fix it if it aint broken. I am not saying I want a copy of Halo 3 in HD, but adding sprint, hipfire and other stuff that we see in other shooters doesn't make it original. This is Halo and it should be kept this way. Bungie put in alot of new elements in Reach, which could have been great, but wasn't (overall that is, some of them actually made the game more interesting)
Yeah, the 'jet pack' that John uses is actually a jump jet, similar to the ones the brutes use in Halo 3, but this one is only used in space, thats why you cant fly around the campaign in any halo game (except reach)
Um, those 'thrusters' were an orbital re-entry pack.
If you've played Reach, on the level long night of solace, Noble 6 wears what is called an M-spec re-entry pack which is how he survived falling to the ground from orbit with just a limp.

what they should do with teh armor is go all out with costomization like helmet visor back of the head upper chest lower chest upper back lower back upper arm elbow shoulder lower arm hand waist upper leg knee lower leg feet and all the feet and leg stuff on the back to AND you can change all the colors and add little designs or emblems to each armor peice like a design on your visor or stuff THUMBS UP IF YOU ARGEE!
@riggerrs1991 Okay.... So if there is no gravity it is very difficult to move in space cause you can't touch or walk/run on the ground so to be able to move. He needs a zero-g combustion. It helps him move faster in space instead of trying to float where ever.
@TheTaulke01 theres nothing wrong with sprint and evade, its only armor lock that made halo not halo anymore because of bad kill times, and also active camo being an armor ability when it should be a pick up like halo 3.
I would not really like armor abilities to be in the game...It just wouldn't seem right, perhaps assassinations and sprint still. But not stuff like armor lock, and things like that. Especially in the campaign...It just wouldn't seem right for chief to suddenly have armor abilities after being in hyper sleep for god knows how long. So i say hell naw. To the armor abilities.
I loved halo 3 the most of all halo games and I didnt think a game could get better. awesome maps, epic map editor, nice consecutive graphics, and character customization. I got excited about reach when I played the beta. but the full game was a let down. the armor abilities got annoying and most maps looked the same. Halo CEA looked good but the old gameplay bore me. Halo 4 needs to have a newer feel to it, but not so dramatic as reach with abilities. anyone agree?

@fields2236 Halo 3 was a great example of a perfect game...everything was very well balanced, gametypes were great, even the crappy forge made great MLG maps. I want a BR instead of a "laser tag" like DMR...i would play halo 4 endlessly if it was like halo 3 with enhanced graphics.

@fields2236 your speaking pretty much of armor abilities..attached to armor...reach is a very trashy unfinished game..playlists are constantly changing and there was almost no MLG for reach this year for the lack of people watching...bungie tried something new and failed. the abilities in reach made the game completely unbalanced and 343 see that and took the option out of reach and made them like H3's equipments...they know how broken reach is as well.

@xHaloxv100xClanx I, like most semi-pros who use armour lock, never just sit and hope someone else kills my enemy for me. I use it in short, quick bursts, to maximize effectiveness. Halo's not a particularly fast paced game, either. If you want a load of What-the-hell-is-going-on action, go play CoD. They're VERY difficult to master to use effectively. And invis, for pussies? Just because you don't know how to use these abilities doesn't mean they're bad. You're just bad AT them.

No, I can use them just fine. I love how most people do terribly without armor abilities. I enjoy using sprint as it doesn't make me invisible or invincible. COD is full of campers, so I stopped playing that a long time ago. I can kill someone just as easily and quickly in Reach as long as I can see them and they aren't invincible. I have never seen anyone with good stats who use those armor abilities.

Because although I can function above averagely WITHOUT armour abilities, there's nothing wrong with them, and they add extra spice to the game. It's like giving someone a rocket launcher but telling them they can only kill people by throwing it at them; It just doesn't work. Armor abilities are there to be utilised- So I utilise them.

And to the guy below me, don't you think that itwould be better to have a mix of both Halo 3 and Halo REACH? Both games had unique qualities that made them cooler in different ways. And FYI, the DMR and BR are completely different. DMR takes less skill and only needs point-and-shoot logic to use. BR actually requires you to use your head due to the fact that, like modern day firearms, the projectile does not travel at the speed of light and actually has to intersect it's target's path. :/

What 343 needs to do, is go back to the original gameplay, and add something to it. No need to fix it if it aint broken. I am not saying I want a copy of Halo 3 in HD, but adding sprint, hipfire and other stuff that we see in other shooters doesn't make it original. This is Halo and it should be kept this way. Bungie put in alot of new elements in Reach, which could have been great, but wasn't (overall that is, some of them actually made the game more interesting)

Yeah, the 'jet pack' that John uses is actually a jump jet, similar to the ones the brutes use in Halo 3, but this one is only used in space, thats why you cant fly around the campaign in any halo game (except reach)

I loved halo 3 the most of all halo games and I didnt think a game could get better. awesome maps, epic map editor, nice consecutive graphics, and character customization. I got excited about reach when I played the beta. but the full game was a let down. the armor abilities got annoying and most maps looked the same. Halo CEA looked good but the old gameplay bore me. Halo 4 needs to have a newer feel to it, but not so dramatic as reach with abilities. anyone agree?

@spazerrayy Man you just need to look foreword to HALO 4 and what new added content its gonna bring as well as gameplay changes it will have. stop trying to flame war with me about content everyone knows H4 is gonna be the best halo to date and the hawk plane is something that was on waypoint.
so be happy about it all H4 is 100% Badass already !

@fields2236 im not trying to just piss you off, but prove a point. I want Halo to be the most badass halo of all time just like everyone else trust me, i would sell a part of my soul right now just for a multiplayer clip. you just cant say its going to be the best without anything on the game, i just dont want to be left disappointed like i was with reach and a lot of other games last year. either way, Diablo 3 i know is amazing (in the beta) so if all else fails, its diablo.
