  • My favorite movie of all time... The story is great. The movie is great. I watched this back when it came out... and I have never forgotten it. I've never been able to find it again. Until now.... and they all thought I was crazy.

  • Why did some native american tribes fought each other?

  • @superman87jk :The same reasons men always fight,a woman,money,greed, power, land,hate,stupidity,dishonesty,desire.

  • @billy1212ist

Thank you for your answer, most enlightening :-)

  • One of my favorite movies when I was young. It was so neat seeing people in the movies that looked like my family in a true love story instead of the stereotypical Hollywood mockery made of us.

  • The little boy who shoots the buffalo is the father of my two adopted sons. He is a cool guy, named Wamni-Omni-Ska-Robideau.

  • It was nice to see a movie that was exclusively about American Indians, from their perspective. It was a heart-wrenching story about a man's devotion to his lost child, returning from death to fulfill his life's journey to find him. Great story... Oh, and Tasheena is a knock-out!

  • @GeorgesamaWBushLaden i got awesome skill its call owning bad jews. i am the owner!!!

  • This movie had the distinction of having Cheyenne and Crow dialogue only...and an elderly English actor in the leading role...strange, but true...!

  • This movie had the distinction of having Cheyenne and Crow dialogue only...and an English actor in the leading role...strange, but true...!

  • dude this movie is great..i love it

  • I remember being just a little girl when I had my first opportunity to watch this amazing movie. The scene where he plays the flute for her (it's somewhat cut out on this version) but yeah, it was that scene which inspired me to learn how to play the indian flute. This movies absolutely amazing in my eyes.. for it reminds me of my grandmother who I miss dearly.

  • ow. audio at abt 3:38

  • Yeah me too i love my name!!!

  • Serene Hedin was so beautiful in this movie. I wonder why she did not make more of her career in film? She was only in a few movies during the 80's.

  • The best Native American movie ever made!

  • I remember my parents watching this movie on those obsolete discs that were replaced by vhs. I remember thinking that chick was hot, now when I watch it im like they werent real native people, more like italians lol p.s im navajo

  • I hope you guys do realize that this movie is a propoganda peice for the LDS...

  • @amaroq69 how so?

  • @AgentNYPD Ok, the old man relating the story, lost his family & "prays" for them...That's LDS theology...am sure there are others, but I'd have to watch again closely...look it up...:D

  • DUDE!! MY NAME!!

  • damn i remember going to my cousins house down in LA..and watching this ...old school like a mutherfucker...DAMN CROW STEALING LAKOTA BABIES...LOL

  • Btw...is anyone else weirded out that the guy who plays young Windwalker is James Remar? He is the least likely person to be native American in my mind!

  • "The movie that gave me my name" your name is windwalker?

I AM THE ONE AND ONLY WINDWALKER!

  • Uhh...her screamname is Tashina like the wife of Windwalker in this movie so I'm pretty sure that's what she means, WindWalker.... <.<

  • what? ye her screen name, her real name might be windwalker BUT I AM STILL THE ONE AND ONLY WINDWALKER!

  • to/re "WindWalker940" that is the lamest comment I've ever seen here however, I'm sure you made a simple mistake as you can plainly see the up-loaders name is "tashinapaz" as in she who was depicted in same movie. And as for the other lame argument here of the actors not being First Nations peoples I being one of them like the movie and consider it a Gift. Peace!

    Ta

  • it seems like i didnt make myself clear. I AM THE ONE AND ONLY WINDWALKER!

  • One of my favorite movies, I remember watching as a kid on VHS. I was already bawling at the end of THIS video, lord knows I need to see the original. Love this movie...

  • Now if we could just see this movie in it's ENTIRITY it would be great, because there is way more to it than the snippeds shown here, maybe I need to go borrow the movie from my bro-in-law and see if I can do it?! Sorry, but it should NOT be chopped up and all the messed up sounds with it.

people shouldnt EXPERIMENT, EDIT and then POST movies when they are CLEARLY incapable!!! SOMEONE' needed to say' something..thank you' skydancer1971.....(let me know' when/if you post the entire movie!) i will be watching....thanks!

  • I saw this movie as a very young boy and it has been my favourite ever since. I guess it is one of the best of the Western genre of films, but sadly does not seem to have been given it's due. This movie is pure magic !!!!! Thanks to you Tashina for putting it in here!!! God bless

  • thats james remar

  • And what a beautiful name it is!!

  • makes me smile...not very many good native guys like him!!! Marry me!!! lol

  • White people are not bad people and I am a wanna be,but the thing about this wonderful movie is that it shows we are all just people and we hurt each other and we love each other.I am so pro Native Nations believe me.I have a deep connection, but the nature and everyday drama that takes place ,is just that .Everyday drama between people and nature! Wonderful!

  • My favorite native american film. Nothing about the whites, beautiful, romantic and timeless....good looking wind walker...a hunk!!of burning love!!!

  • I love this movie. Not enough made like this. Just a good story, nothing about the white people coming, or anything just a story. We need more movies like this.

  • I was named after this movie, "Tashina" so this movie has a lot of meaning for me too. When I was younger I actually kinda looked like the girl in this movie. I had a hard time finding it too. I finally found it on ebay, you might want to try looking there.
