  • Sorry Kurt, but you forgot to mention that the rules in Changing Breeds are sloppy and are hard to work with, its better to use the system they have in the "War Against the Pure" book.

  • @Searif Most stuff is not more difficult than the rules of WTF (basically the names are simply different) but the rules regarding Fury and some of Essence rejuvination are really crap. I never use this Nature vs. Human stuff. And it is obvious that the different authors didn't really coordinate their work, have often no idea about the animal species in question and sometimes copied straight from oWoD.

  • Can you be a Werehuman?

  • @extragunbon Depends, there are those shifters that change into Sasquatch and the like and some cryptozoologists say that they are not apes but rather a seperate species of human and at least theoretically the shifters can be born by animals. So in theory, yes.

  • 2:50 You're right. Damn those man-hating enviornmentalists. Hatred of tools has been in fantasy since Tolien's blaming WW1 on factories in LotR (remember the hobbits return home at the end; it's not in the movies).

  • The guy with the antlers on the front reminds me of a Chaos mutant from Warhammer.

  • Is there any Were-Beetles or Were-Ants?! or any sort of Were-Insect! it would be nice for change then the usual Shapeshifters^^

  • well if you go back too owod, there are werespiders, being small anthropods like insects, the rules for a were-insect should be similiar, like having a swarm for beast form.

but instead of a hive mind i prefer to just give 1 animal of the swarm the sentience and allow it to control the rest of them.

  • Were-Rabbit? I only laugh at that because Husdon did just that with Alice in Bloody Roar.

Whatever happened to that old franchise?

Still, I'll definetly get this title for WoD and The Forsaken.

  • were-rabbits can be really powerful. Picture a human who can run at 50mph, and jump 30ft into the air whilst ambidexing uzis. And did I mention the 8in long front teeth?

  • the real power in being a lagomorph is your feet, rabbits have a helluva kick, and are known to knock out other animals (like a predator.)

now imagine the proportional strength of that kick in man-beast form!

  • Well, when it's one on one many of the changers from the book could beat an Uratha. Especially the Storm-Bears :-D

  • Skinchangers was better.

  • Are you still playing a feral? Maybe online? Because I'm searching for a chronicle.

  • Nah the character died and it was IRL sorry.

  • To bad, but do you know of a chronicle that might be still running?

  • you should be able to find a few on google, I forgot the name of some of the sites sorry

  • You are you are really starting to make this your own thing Kurt,

You too Rob, you give this a clean professional look,

I'd like to see more interviews every now and again though,

  • is that "dodgeable" a D6 or D20 roll?

  • Can this one be used as an "expansion pack" to Werewolf: the Forsaken?

  • Oh sure all you WoD Fanboys call thia a Bad Comment :)

But the amount of Books WoW produces every 2 Months is a testament to how bad some of the Books are.

  • some not all, and the quality of a game is equally down to the storyteller as well as the system.

  • If you look at some of the White Wolf forums you will see many people consider this to be a weak supplement book and that an alternative suggestion is the last chapter in the W:TF book "War against the Pure" which has rules for creating new shape shifters but is viewed as having a more coherent and balanced system for creating new shape shifters.

That being said WW is a business and they need to put out books to sell. Most are very well done and I do not see their quality declining.

  • You seen the WOD: Innocents book yet?

I heard its about roleplaying a kid.

  • It is, in fact, about roleplaying children. I'd love to see a Game Geeks episode on it.

  • Just created a Episode Guide, check the video info description for the link.

    Rob

  • speaking of the more shape changing type characters,i would love to see a review of skinchangers....i have seen that book around online but i cant find it in stores to crack it open and take a look...

  • Your pile is gone. I'm hoping there will be a new one. Any clues as to what might be in it?

  • Its sitting to my left. This was the last of a series we filmed a couple of months ago.

  • Its interesting to me to hear the difference in my voice- go back to reliquary: All of these were filmed in the same set. I'm running out og voice.

  • Could you do a review of Warhammer Fantasy? It's an excellent game that needs more attention.

  • The only slight catch I have with this book is the "S__t Speak" I am not kidding with that name either. It's a fairly self explanatory idea and concept anyone that has pets knows what pets do when they are upset with the owners. However, I did not think such a concept needs to be in a rulebook with rules applied to it, it seems a tad crude. The rest of the book is pretty good and the concepts aren't bad.

  • You should make an easy to read list of stuff you have already reviewed.

Have you done Changeling: the Lost yet?

  • Yay, the cover overlay effect is back. My life is complete! ;]

Interesting book, seems to be yet another take on what Werewolf wanted to be (game about spirit, nature, protection) but failed (ultimately becoming chase&kill game). Unfortunately I see no use for people interested in other supers or in humans, becoming a must-have only for furries fans.

  • mmmmmm
