  • if u think this march is good wait until the hit the pensioners , then u will c the real trouble makers of this Country

  • I am very proud of the students. We, the adults should be doing this too. Our young are showing us how it should be done minus the violence of course. Well done to you all

  • Awh yeah! my homemade banner totally visible at 5.20! COME ONE ST. PATS! HELL NO TO 3 TRIPLE O!

  • Still, though many may not understand the struggle that has been going on in Greece over th past few months, we expect that many will follow and stand, as we do, in solidarity with us. And trust me destruction and vandalism is not the way, as some see the struggle in Greece, there are many more of us that believe in a popular movement that will not choose the easy way of throwing rocks and molotovs,

  • solidarity from greece

just to mention that in the face of capitalist collapse worldwide basically and the stripping of what was left of social benefits for the people, what the times require is a strong popular movement of all and for all.

Students and workers, peasants and unemployed, youths and elderly should unite forces and bring to light another form of growth. One that will cater the needs of the people and not the ones of bankers and capitalists alike.

  • Found us! =)

  • 42.000 students stood up to the gov. day... including myself ... and i think we done a great job standing up for our country.. and for the generations that have to follow... the young people of ireland are the future of this country... we had to do something to make sure of it :)

  • great work guys

  • GOOD ON YOU GUYS , LEAST THERE IS ONE GENERATION OF IRISH WHO CAN STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES, THERE IS HOPE FOR THIS COUNTRY YET.

  • @bkeena00 so we're greedy spoilt little brats now because we marched for this instead of sitting on our arses complaining and doing nothing about it like most of the irish out there. Why shouldn't we march for ourselves, I'm sure you would be out doing it if you got a pay cut? Or are you one of those who sits on their arse complaining? Were you out there today marching for us? No? So that makes you a hypocrite.

  • @niamhlovespink So you decided my life story in your head, and because you have a limited imagination that makes me a hypocrite? I have taken a pay cut. A huge one! But I realize that our incompetent government has ruined the country I love. And if the cost of getting us back on track means I have to wake up to the realities of the grown up world then I am willing to pay my part. As for protest, I will do it at the ballet box.

  • @bkeena00 I was basically saying you're a hypocrite since you said we we're only marching for ourselves and you called us 'greedy' because we're not marching for anyone else. You clearly didn't go out marching for the students so why doesn't it make you a hypocrite? Of course we were It seems my so called 'limited imagination' proved to be right then. And I completely agree with @ronocthewonder I am in my final year too and I'm not going to have to pay fees next year, am I still greedy?

  • @bkeena00 you say you will protest at the ballot box? im sure everyone will but do you want to wait for the next scheduled general election?? i dont, and neither do any of these people marching.. no one wants to wait that long for this government to get out, you say you've took a big cut and this government is ruining the country you love? yet you will wait patiently the elections to roll round? they need to go now, as a said thats why some people go out and make a stand, and some dont....

  • @bkeena00 The majority of the 300 students that I marched with (ones from my college) were actually in their final year. The fees wouldn't affect us in the slightest. We marched for the future students, and the current ones. I'd love to know how defending our rights first and foremost and THEN doing the same for other causes is being "greedy". How is being "Greedy" fighting for what we and so many other deserve?

  • @bkeena00 We're greedy spoiled brats for taking action? At least we're out doing something. 2,000 strong from NUI Maynooth giving the wankers in Leinster House two fingers.

  • like marching ever changed a thing! the state is having their way with you..

  • @buzzmund Whether they up the fees or not at least we can say we got out there today and tried to do something about it instead of sitting on our arses shutting up and putting up like most of the people in this country, and I'm so proud of what we did today whether it makes a difference or not the government saw us in our thousands there today to let them know we're not ok with whats happening in this country. EDUCATION NOT EMIGRATION

  • @niamhlovespink good on you Niamh and to everyone else who make their voice heard today.

  • @DJSpinoza we had to do sumthing.... NO IF'S NO BUTS WE SAY NO TO EDUCATION CUTS!!!!!!!!!!
