I bought my GSD one of those pools, it lasted less than a week. After the first day the pool looked like someone peppered it with a shotgun and as the week went on I would find the pool in smaller and smaller pieces. Went and bought a metal watering trough for sheep and it's still around.

Best companions hands down . grew up with a GSD named Lady , got her when i was 9 , i still miss her too. Have a 10 mos. old named Blitz ,who loves the water too. His pool looks exactly like yours . Got it at walmart

Dog needs a bigger pool. He has to hunch his back in that one. My GSD loves her pool, too. She's huge for a female. She loves to get wet and then run in the dog door and soak the floors and hear me yell at her. Love her!

They remind me so much of my old shepherd Hugo. Grew up with that dog. German Shepherds are an incredible breed of dog. Smart and Obedient. The perfect mix of Brawn and intelligence.

they see their reflection and think its another dog, but sooner or later they grow out of it apparently not this one. Anyways that is what I think.

My GSD's won't get into their pool - hate water - creeks, lakes, etc. They tolerate a bath in the tub because they know they have to, but otherwise, water is taboo to both of them... Wonder why... We got them when they were 2 and 3 (mother and daughter) must be some history there....

When I first brought my GSD pup home one of the first things she did was to find a muddy puddle and lay in it.

She wasn't too keen on the bath that came shortly afterwards.

My GSDs just walk through their pools. Lol. Or they'll just stand there. But they don't dig or lay in them. They drink out of them, though. Haha.

But they both prefer the water hose. They will DRENCH themselves in that.

@Janosita So sorry. I have had one get old and die. I'll never forget him either. I love my GSD now, but no one can take his place. Every one is special in their own way.
