    If anyone wants to learn this piece, I learnt it from a booked called Traditional Slow Airs by Tomas O'Canainn, published by Osian. There is also a CD available to go with this book.

  • In a way it is a tragic ballad, rosion dubh being the metaphor for ireland, the pain and longing endured by irishmen for there freedom is what this song is about, you should check up the lyrics.

  • hey there pr0zz0r, reference your question about what type of whistle that is, im not going to say it is but im VERY sure that it is just a simple Bb generation, i play advanced whistles like copeland and michael burk's etc so i just knew what whistle that was, as i used to play them myself.. hope this helps, there around 4£ (8-10$)
