The Pilot boat is the Bewick.. My Father and three brothers worked for the Tyne Pilotage service spanning some 45 yrs. Great vid thanks for the time taken.. I was not part of the pilotage service but have on occions taken the wheel of that pilot boat.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to record this. Most of us rush off to dinner instead of staying out to witness it. And great how you lean out at the last minute to catch the transfer.
