You could even explain the previous power rangers showing up in the storyline by saying that they got on a ship and came to the dimension that everything is happening in.

there is a japanese super sentai that just finished its series called Gokaiger and yes they are pirates however there is talk this is one of the super sentai that will not be translated and placed in the us and dubbed. Its a fantastic series and after I watched it from beginning to end I don't think there are any super sentai or us power ranger that can match it.

Yeah there could be a possibility that Gokai will eventually become MMPR but I really don't think that it would be intelligent to do so. it makes more sence for them to reshoot the war and have that as an end or a start for Gosei because Gosei WAS a main part of the war. what I'm saying is it would be a waist of a group just to show and then NOT be the next MMPR

Matter of fact you can find clips from the final battle of the movie which both gosei and gokai in their mechs battle with the main villian on YT. Most likely the gosei season will be called Power Rangers Megaforce since saban had copyrighted Megaforce.
