Just so you guys know, this is extremely easy. My 5 year old cousin showed me this. Basically, you are taking a wire and taking both ends and tapping it around the circuit board while pressing buttons on the toy or instrument. When you get an interesting sound, take a marker and mark the two points. Solder the the wire to the points, and you have the sound.
Sorry, i dont like circuit bends, because all you get is just noisey shit. i like filter mods, but not this. may those fans of it have fun with such crap
I love the Banana Jacks...I have them on my "real" Modular (Böhm Soundlab) They are very usefull. Anyway...
Some of the better Mods!
Most of the Time I think "Why did you do that to this poor Keyboard???" I think the Modding Szene shouldn't use rare Keyboards or Synths. In some Years they regret what they have done.
Love it. I've been into bending for a few months now and this is very impressive. There's a lot to be said for bent kit. Even when it ends up in a hacked up case and behaves trully erratically at times. The sk5 i'm currently working on is probably more fun and more interesting than the monomachine i bagged about a year back. "bent not bought" as bentmonkeycage would say ;)
keyboard like xd515 did? I would think you'd need to know quite a bit about circuitry, schematics, etc, No? Could you do this to an SK-5?And where does one obtain the panel you attached above the keyboard?
Hi, I have recently done this to an SK-5, if you look at 'more from xd515' you will see it. There will also be a full tutorial on how to make one of these on casperelectronics dot com in the near future.
How to make one of these is something i have got to check out. The sequencer is really cool. I had started to think i'd come a long way with bending until i saw some of your work. Really cool stuff. If you're interested in any cnc machined panels for future machines drop me a line :)
This guy is a total genius I should know I own four of his machines. I am MR Drain of the 99 Generators. Oceanus is a supporter, and I have to say this is an incredible machine made by someone who should become legendary.
Amazing stuff as always, Paul. I especially like the Knight Rider-style LEDs. I've got an SK-1 coming in the post now, so I'm looking forward to jazzing it up, though I doubt I'll be able to come close to yours. Well done!
This is the most masterful bend I've seen. Well done, dude!

CAn anyone say how you go about modding the
keyboard like xd515 did? I would think you'd need to know quite a bit about circuitry, schematics, etc, No? Could you do this to an SK-5?And where does one obtain the panel you attached above the keyboard?

I cannot work out if this guy is insane or an evil genius :-) probably the latter.
This machine is amazing it sounds absolutely bonkers but more interesting than most of the bland kit that is available for sale from Roland etc.
I love stuff like this and wish I new enough about electronics to make this kind of kit.
Well done that man.
