With all due respect, this pipeline was not a good idea for several reasons, but the one that stands out concerning liberty is that Hilary's state department had earlier ok'd permitting this pipeline company to initiate eminent domain on land owners and sovereign nations like the lands of the native americans. This foreign company was to be given permission to take american people's land if it was in the way of the pipeline.

Personally I just didn't like the Pipeline idea because it's funded by taxpayer money.
We're still recovering from the 2008 recession and already slipping into a double dip due to the ever increasing deficit and debt, and now we're spending more money when private companies would do it anyways.
States are allowed to contract with Private companies if they all agree to do the pipeline, no clue why Federal Government is getting involved.

As to Fukushima: Drilling into the vessel is absolutely necessary, after which SUCTION will be applied as the means for residual heat removal. Dangerous? Not removing the heat will provide a permanent pressure pushing the rad gasses into the aquifer and or coastal region.

The funny thing about this, is that they supposedly blocked the pipeline, but yet I have a friend that was offered a job on this pipeline. He had the choice of working in North Dakota or Texas, he left this last week for working on the Texas end of the pipeline. So obviously they are still gonna run the pipeline, they just claim that they blocked it.

I'm so sick of these people that will promote anything and everything as long as it will "create jobs". @sketchyj Sorry but your dreams of EV cars (whatever that is) isn't going to happen. These electric cars are 1. Too expensive and a rip off for what you pay, 2. Useless in northern climates where temps are freezing and snow is present. Batteries do poorly in cold, and the low profile of them cars will won't go through much snow.

@MegaDude1969 It's not "my dream" to have EV cars. Do a google search and pay attention to what you see coming into dealerships. It's all going to hybrid cars/high fuel economy or pure EV. All of which means less and less need for oil pipelines in the future. As battery technology improves year by year this technology is a no brainer. As I said, a high speed train is a way better idea than a crappy oil pipeline.

My dad died of lung cancer from smoking and everyone was feeling pity for him and saying what a tragedy but me no way I spoke to him about smoking and the side effects a very long time ago and warned him that when the time came I would not be there.
