Why? Because you get your rocks off killing animals or because you don't understand that the fox would never have tried to hurt the deer (considering it was 4/3 its size, and foxes are scared of cats half their size).

No, you're not listening. The deer IS TOO BIG. It may have crossed the fox's mind but there is no way it would have actually gone after it. Does it look like it's hunting? When an animal hunts they sneak up on their prey and/or chase it. That fox is not in attack mode.

The biggest thing a fox would go after is possibly a cat and like I said, most of the time, they're too scared. Foxes tend to eat rabbits, mice and berries.

It's just nature, honey. The fox needs food just like you do, and it won't be able to grasp the concept that those chickens are yours and that it's not meant to eat them. It doesn't see a chicken coup full of lovely chicken that lay eggs and belong to someone. It sees an opportunity for a meal.

That's a bizarre use of the word opportunity. It suggests you have some sort of desire to defend them via violence.

It would be better to chase the fox away. After all, if you kill it another will take it's place. Unless you kill all of them, in which case I'd have to call genocide. Wildlife protection agencies wouldn't be too happy with you, plus you'd have way too many rabbits on your hands and you would have fucked the ecosystem up. Is that what you want?

Actually, red foxes are not native to my part of the country(virginia) talk about screwing the ecosystem up-they have successfully wiped out the turkeys and the rabbits to an extend where they are very rare.
