I really want to see Philip Stewart as the Narrator. Craig Price was brilliant the two times I've seen it (so far, I've only been twice) but I'd love to see Philip. ♥
I saw this the summer of 2000 while in England on a school trip. I thought this was one of the best plays I'd ever seen and was ready to jump up clapping before they even stopped singing.
Best musical ever written. Ever since first seeing it when I was 8, I have been in love with this show. Even though I've seen it well over 30 times, I never fail to cry at this part.
Great video, it rely captured just how load nd how much of a shock seeing this scene can have on anyone. When I saw the uk tour november 12 2011, i was right next to the speakers, and it wasn't how load the gun was i mean that was scary, but when the shooting happened the person who played mickey waved the gun over the audience in the stalls and then shot just above my head, everything put together i thought they were real guns so at first i thought i just escaped being shot in the head lol.
@Jonnyriffic because if your not expecting it its fkn loud. some people laugh when they are scared. and if you listen closely you can even hear someone say "that scared the crap out of me"
i saw this 4 weeks ago ;L and was right near the front.. the policeman were right behind me talking out of the speaker :L but they shot the gun not mickey and made me jump even more.
Great clip. Thanks. I'm 16 and I played Eddie in a school variety show a few years back and my best friend, Craig, played Mickey and we did the scene where they first meet aged 7. Then just last year in a variety musicals show at school, we did this scene where the pair die. It was amazing, I want to do it again so badly now. I've seen it twice on stage and should be going a 3rd time next month! Can't wait!
lyn paul is the ultimate mrs johnstone..played her for 13 years with the tours and stints at the pheonix london...shame there wasn't any clips/recordings on the net for you to hear..
@rees276 Sarah Hay is the Mrs J on here - she was the understudy in 2003 she usually played Mrs Lyons but Lyn paul was off sick so she got to play the lead
Sitting here with tears streaming down my face! It's intresting in this version that Linda takes the higher part of the harmony at the end, I wonder if the Mrs J's range couldn't reach that part...
Thanks - I have this full show n dvd already tho its missing Tell Me Its Not True so its great to see it
Sarah HAy is a great Mrs Johnstone understudy - even though she isnt in the show anymore she still returns and does a couple of shows each year as Mrs Johnstone
i watched this today....wow
