  • What a surprise.... Another Russian airliner goes down. Skilled pilots. Shity equipment.

  • Only in Russia!

  • This guy looks like Mr.Bean !!

  • Excellent report from the RT people. Excellent flying by the crew.

  • I would want to get in any of russian air craft

  • russian planes suck, rip lokomotiv

  • Russian pilots are supposed to be very good pilots. Quite a few of them flew for the Russian Air force, and are highly skilled. It is a shame that they were treated quite poorly 20 odd years ago when the russain airline industry was a mess. But they still kept on flying with the airlines, with very low pay (lower than what an american regional pilot get), just because they loved flying.

  • 1:20 Russia Today cant afford fsx?

  • @AKPaper Hahahaha

  • Strange how russian planes crash so often when they are not supposed to, this time when a crash seemed unavoidable they all of a sudden dont crash. Ruissia has the record in crashes per flown mile, per capita or per flight. Flying in russia is the most stupid thing you can do, Yokolews that are popular is less reliable than the first commersial airliners in western world. You may call me ignorant but that makes Dmitry Medvedev ignorant as well sinde he have the same opinion.

  • well done to those pilots

  • Why did they only have 10 minutes of fuel when they landed? How far away were they from their destination? Why didn't they just continue to their destination and land at a proper airfield with proper emergency services? I'm guessing because they lost all electrical services their navigation equipment stopped working, and they weren't able to talk to ATC and ask them for assistance in perhaps giving them a bearing to fly to the airfield. Might also have been IMC at their destination.

  • "..not aware of any issues before takeoff"

Of course not, the plane had obvious not been checked and controlled as it chould since it was built..

  • OLD PLANE??? THESE PLANES HAVE BEEN FOR ALMOST LIKE 75 YEARS MAYBE LESS

  • The pilots are great but the russian government do nothing to stop all this accidents!!!!! IDOITS!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • avoid using russian's 40 years old airplane...

  • Them lips! *_*

  • Russian pilots are the best, there more used to flying the plane other than relying on computers to do all the work

  • Awsome pilots!

  • Imagine if they had not seen the concrete strip, it could have gone terribly wrong

  • did you also get freaked in 3:26 ?

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty fucking amazing!

  • Tupolev: BUILT LIKE A RUSSIAN TANK

  • now this discourages me to be pilot i have my private license... and i want to be commerical pilot but after see this...i dont think i can pull this off

  • @workingstiff76 They fly Tupolev, they NEED large balls!

  • kurwa ściął tyle drzew i skrzydła ma :D ?

  • @workingstiff76

And the italians have big di*k! :-)

  • @bluesfun I am afraid I will have to take your word for that. I don't make it a point of looking at other men's di*ks :). (kidding)

  • @workingstiff76

lol! don't worry, I dont check others di*ks too. but I know mine... lol xD

  • Comment removed

  • Look how many smokers there are at airport entrance... Outcast.

  • in soviet Russia airplanes crash you!

  • This shows how safe flying is. How nobody was killed.

  • @workingstiff76 and why do russian pilots need balls? Because their airplanes are the biggest crap !

  • @sirah19 You are correct, most Russian made aircraft probably still use vacuum tubes and are designed using slide rules. That is why they need so much Testicular fortitude just to fly them. Actually, from what I have read the TU-154 is a statistically reliable and safe aircraft for it's age. My guess is that in this instance, the problem had more to do with maintenance than design. The Russians seem to be very good at building things as long as they keep it simple and utilitarian (like Soyuz).

  • russians planes and electricity dont go hand in hand

  • What a brave and a heroic pilot. Russian pilots are very smart and the best trained heroes.

  • that guy looks like mr. bean

  • lol..rowan atkinson..

  • @workingstiff76 From Fukuoka Kyushu Japan, yay for efficiency lol

  • Russian pilots can't wear underwear, balls don't fit.

  • for quite a while I thought it was a joke.....

  • They weren't drunk. If they were drunk they would crash

  • At least they got there luggage back.

  • In Soviet Russia we beat the sh*# out of hijackers

  • from 0:00 to 0:12 its Rowan Atkinson reporting :D

Thumbs up if you imagine XD

  • I was watching videos on how to make smoke rings...........how the fuck did i get here?

  • @SuperBigronnie

They are way more reliable in flighthours and miles flown on average than your DeHavilland Comet and other civilian airliners were.

You are hereby flagged for being an ignorant fool. And littering the net with your nonsense.

  • @McLarenMercedesThere is one flaw with this statement, you had to look for the worst air plane built in the last 50 years to find one wich i almost as bad as the planes flewn in Russia today. Says a lot about russion aviation...

  • Excellent pilot..

  • Excellency from those Russian pilots, nothing less.

  • Russian airspace is one of the most dangerous airspaces on this planet. great pilots, the passengers owe them a shot of vodka each! :)

no but seriously russia, get your f**king airplanes sorted out!

  • the plane ran into bushes, where are the green people?

  • @workingstiff76 And that is pretty much how they also managed to defeat the Nazis and put the first man into space.

  • I'm not entirely sure why, but i could never get into a tupolev, antonov or ilyushin. It's just a bad feeling that i have.

  • Tupolevs are one of the best planes out there, together with boeing. I flew with 154Ms multipple times. They are confortable and safe. A bit outdated, yes, but a 20 year old plane thats as good as a modern airbus? Respect. Imagine the plane was new. They'd pwn avery other company :P

  • NICE work gentlemen! This is why pilots are trained (and PAID) to be cool, calm and in control during an emergency.

  • Молодцы пилоты.Герои!

  • @BoeingPrototype Lol. So? How many Boeings had similar weird unexplained issues?

  • @BoeingPrototype Hapens to every aircompany. Boeing, Airbus, Tupolev, MacDonell Douglas and more. so dont be sarcastic about tupolev.

  • @BoeingPrototype

Probably sloppy service schedules and pre-flight checks. The planes themselves are usually very safe. Local, cash-strapped airlines saving money by using parts for far too long causes these kind of accidents.

  • @McLarenMercedes hey sounds like quantas and jet star

  • I salute these men!

  • @Nintenkid91 да еслибы наши небухали то ваще лучьшие были !!!

  • @zonderrrr I wish I could understand this language.

  • 81 backwards is 18 or flight 180 from final destination 1... WTF

  • russian planes= accident waiting to happen.

  • @FrapsYou on what fact do you base this statement?

  • @HomegrownPLZ already has been mentioned in the news itself. Its over 20 years ago and look in the cockpit, most of it is just analog. I am not against it but in fact most of the russian planes are robust. I have been on one similar to tu-154m, i cannot recall when. Only thing I can remember was that it did went off the runway. I was little as 10 when that happened.

  • @FrapsYou Well and here it goes worst accident of 21st century :-((((((

  • @rambusinek I know rip for those people :( come on russianss!!!

  • I wouldnt fly on a russian for nothing in this world.....all crap!

  • Why do everybody still say "Soviet Russia"? Noticed it in many of the comments. It's either Russia or RF - Russian Federation.

  • @alligator29956 In the Soviet Union is doing the best aircraft in the world, and occupied by jews in Russia can not even contain the aircraft used in the procedure. These jews destroyed the aircraft industry and to seek Russan army. A TU 154 in the 70s was the best in the world in its class.

  • @Plutoneist Well, att least worst fuel economy of all commercial planens. Wonder why russian pilots still flye with hangover? Nearly, russian plane crashlanded close to Petroskoi. The co-pilot was drunk.

  • @IhanNormal Yes, by today 's standards is not cost effective, and do not want him to upgrade, it' s easier to buy your old stuff cost, "Boeing". As for drunken drivers, yes it is, and what you want, because 20 years of looting and stolen the country Yeltsin, Putin, Medvedev, and ryle the country the Jewish mafia.

  • Trying to be serious and all... but WTF IS UP WITH HES EYEBROWS?!

  • Comment removed

  • i dont know why people are knocking Russian Aircraft i was on an Air Canada flight a few months back and it was a serious piece of shit. Must have been at least 20 to 25 years old.

  • such LIPS

  • Who is the reporter? I want to have his babies.

  • these are two badass pilots hats up before these two

  • @xam107 actually they're 5 of them =)

  • @cruxader27 are you sure that all 5 were flying ^^ but all in all you´re right ^^

  • dude wtf is with all the (in soviet russie blah does or eats or writes you its getting old.....and fast

  • This is normal for Tu154`s, their safety record speaks volumes !!!

  • @gpzb2 Tu-154 actually has fairly average safety record; a lot of the accidents are due more to maintenance and counterfeit parts, not the design. Otherwise, it's quite comparable to other passenger aircraft.

  • god the pilots are not human , to survive a plane crash in the woods , in a russian aicraft safely landing it , theres no words to discribe this event

  • is just me or what every russian built aricrafts xpend more time crashing than flying russian avionics sucks

  • They are getting counseling and a shitectomy for their shorts.

  • Is it me, or is every Russian named Vladimir Rutchkin?

  • Comment removed

  • lol love how at the end he's like, "and now ill go back to flying my cockpit" :D

  • thats absolutely fucking amazing! fair play to those pilots! :)

  • Yury Karash....an AWESOME name for an aviation expert!!

  • Russians have proved throughout flying history to be the most well-trained pilots.

  • There was enough one tree to completly destroy TU-154 in plane "crash" in Smolensk ( 10.04.2010).

    Interesting, isn't it ?

  • @hebovis If the tree is big enough and in the "right" place, of course it'll shear off a large chunk of wing, including aileron. The wing shearing cased the plane flip upside down before impact. Anyway, even without the tree #101 was doomed, but may have impacted upright, possibly more survivably. The pilots should have pulled up much sooner. Read the Polish report.

  • Vodka is made for smart people

  • In soviet russia... pilot dont fly plane.. plane fly pilot :]

  • I've always loved a PBS episode of NOVA "top gun over Russia" where they analyze Russian air force pilots, even the U.S. Top gun instructor said that your doomed if you underestimate a Russian pilot...

  • In Russia, plane crashes you.

  • Amazin!

  • Thankfully enough power to engage reverse thrust

  • Saving the day or lifes :-)

  • god danm Russian pilots are some crazy mugs

  • @erikagree russian are not crazy mugs... you are... you just said that because your american ha? russian pilots are better than american pilots

  • this case was ten times worst than the hudson landing....this is one pilot i want to fly with...

  • @elsoda How was it worse??? They still had enough power to make THREE attempts.

  • It makes no difference what country you are from good pilots are good pilots..and these were great pilots!!

  • Let's face it, Many Russian aircraft are death traps, that's why most of them are prohibited to fly over Europe. Mind you if anyone is going to land a crate of shit with no avionics it's going to be a crazy Russian, these guys are mainly ex military with balls of iron. Can you really see a British pilot tearing up the rule book and going commando.? Don't think so.

    Well done guys, amazing landing.

  • @SuperBluecobra

Most Russian airline aircraft are 25+ years old. Most western pilots would shit their pants just thinking of flying in one of them. Not to mention the old spare parts taken from cannibalized aircraft, non-spec second hand parts made by non-certified manufacturers, the poor quality of russian kerosene that is legendary (for being poor and containing water) and the fact that weather there is pretty severe quite often.

Russian aircraft are not death traps when new - but the above.

  • @52111centrumcz Even old planes fly well and safely, if their serviceprorgrams are upp-to-date. Of course you should not exceed max consrtuctional flightours for the fuselage. I'll think the problems with last years accidents with russian commercial flight, is more a flightcultural related, than an technical issue.

  • @IhanNormal

Read what I wrote; their problems are from lack of spare parts, poor spare parts, tired overworked and poor pilots, aircraft nearing max flight hours and poor kerosene. Also flying under the influence of drugs and so forth due to russian "poshlost" is not exactly helpful.

  • 22 dislikes?!? What the hell for.

  • Вот мы учим ихние языки, а у них даже нигде наш русский не изучается.

  • @ritm36 так Русский язык не является важнейшим международным языком)

  • If they land well, it's not a miracle. It's skill from their training.

  • @rich0319726 Its a miracle they found a tarmac strip, and not have to land on a dirt strip.

  • @rich0319726 Yeah, the pilot should have came over the speaker system and said " God didn't save your ass, we did." (A badass quote from the latest rambo haha)

  • Russian pilots HAVE to be that good considering the bucket of bolts they fly.

  • Lol The reporter looks like Mr Bean.

  • Mr Bean.

  • @santhosh1979 in russia, pilot veeerryy veery guud, because mechanic drink vodka much.

  • It only had 10 minutes of fuel? If it had major mechanical failure onboard inflight then why didn't they attempt to ditch earlier? What happened to the one hour reserve? Sabotage?

  • American pilots would go panic and kill pll!

  • @drejtool shut the fuck up

  • @coty734

    Sorry m8 but truth hurts ;\ !

  • @drejtool you should tell that to Captain Sully

  • @cripplehawk and let's not forget that Hawiian airline pilot that landed an aircraft after the top half seperated at 30000 ft causing the aircraft to loose 10000 ft of altitude in a min.......these guys lost the dash lights and landed on a paved runway in daylight in good weather.all engines functioning and hell if your a pilot and you can't judge airspeed and aproach altitude ...look for a new occupation

  • @drejtool No I don't think so. Every country thinks they have the best pilots. I am english and I think our pilots are the best but in reality every country has great pilots wether they actually fly or not

  • These guys were brilliant they flew on instinct alone with a little luck thrown in.

Just to be a wet blanket I have seen some very good Russian pilots in my time, but I have seen just as many Russian cowboys flying the friendly skies.

  • wow... what are the odds of finding an abandoned airstrip in the middle of a forest (O.o)

  • I liked the crash simulation!

  • man those planes are like old as hell .

  • so the flying coffin passed the grave

  • This news reader looks like Mr. Bean. Thumbs up if you too...

  • With respect to the safety record, TU-154 is slightly SAFER than 727 with only 110 serious incidents compared to 727's 325 serious incidents.

    TU-154 = 1,025 airframes

    727 = 1,831 airframes

What you have to understand is that it's the MAINTENANCE and CREW TRAINING that are responsible for the majority of air crashes, rarely is it the design of the aircraft. The TU-154 is a SAFE aircraft when maintained well with thorough crew training.

  • in soviet russia, plane crashes you!

  • @tucker3601 In soviet Russia Bad jokes tell you.

  • @tucker3601 On Youtube, people think the 1,000,000th repetition of a joke is as funny as the first time it was heard.

  • If this was an Airbus or Boeing aircraft, the landing gear would have collapsed and the thing would have probably broken up to some degree. This is a testament to Russian aircraft being tough, and simple. The pilots were also very skilled and competent. The low pressure, large tires helped a lot, and so did the fact that the aircraft was made to be operated from unpaved rough strips. Amazing.

  • @liamp51 I have never heard of Airbus/Boeing planes losing 3/4 of their electrical generators haha

  • @pienasdepien зато я слышала об их падениях... причем очень много раз ! ХА-ХА!

  • Russian pilots are fantastic but they need to be with the quality of aircraft produced by russian aviation companies. I suggest to russian airlines to go with boeing or airbus the quality of aircraft produced is impeccable along with the state of the art technology on board.

  • @sclol707 These aircrafts are mainly very old and often not maintained very well, there is nothing wrong with design itself. Ofc is true that new russian jets (other than Sukhoi superjet) are not as advanced and fuel economical as western ones, and actually most russian airlines are now buying those instead of russian ones.

  • this happened on 9/11/10

  • "Crippled Russian Airliner"

No way! How did that happen??????

  • I guess tu154 will be inservice until the last one of them crashes, lol :)

  • @metallexone whats so funny of that?

  • Russian planes belong on the ground and should never be allowed in the air!!!

  • @MrDouchebag1987 thank u they are shitty and have problems the american planes that are the best

  • he looks like mr. bean!!!

  • In Mother Russia, plane fly you

  • Damn dude lay off the Botox.

  • Awesome piloting and keeping their cool during some serious stress! You couldn't ask for a better set of pilots! God bless our pilots!

  • It's a Tupolev

  • a part looks like fs

  • Russian pilots are the best in the world....

  • @santhosh1979 They have to be with some of those aircraft.

  • @santhosh1979 no no no american have more planes and better planes thus they are more skilled

  • @tonystarification Russian pilots are fantastic but they need to be with the quality of aircraft produced by russian aviation companies
