Number 1, you never ever record your vocals in stereo, mono. Number 2, you never ever apply effect directly into your vocals, you want to use your bus, I have the same mic it's pretty decent, but you'll find better quality using your bus and recording in mono.

its probly your soundcard or your pre-amp gain is set too high. i had the same problem and that fixed it. also when the gain is too high it record too much background noise
