John Hillstrand is a notorious cocaine user, and a hot head. I fished out of Kodiak and Dutch Brown Crabbing/Opelio for 11 years, i've been around the Hillstrands in the bar many times, and the guy is a piece of trash in my opinion.

Capt. Phil will be buried at sea in one of his crab pots with a camera mounted on it next time his crew goes crabbing. Now that's exciting TV! Won't catch many crabs though cause they hate nicotine soaked bait.

@spirogrinder2 Complications from a massive stroke I think. I'm guessing he had more than that one blood clot that he passed through his heart on that one episode. Hate it that he died. He was really funny and cool.

it was fun for me to watch the first time. but discovery channel is having a 3 day marathon this weekend?

in 20 years i have never heard of a 3 day marathon for any other show. i have heard of a 24 hour marathon. but fucking 3 days?

i can't wait till the history channel does an ice road trucker marathon so we can watch them drive trucks for countless hours.
