  • Becareful with those spiral bulbs your using. I have been doing some reading and they are saying they they can cause blindness in the reptiles as they are to bright and thee UVB is messed up with them. But other then that its a great setup!!

  • If you don't mind me asking...

Where do you get those vines, the ones which are twisted...

Keeping in mind I live in England

  • awesome tank but she needs more room to climb up. They are a sub-arboreal species and need to climb as well as swim

  • what kind of waterfall is that

  • are these good pets and how much money will i need for its whole life

    pls reply

  • @lego3311 I bought mine on sale for 20$ and i spent over 200$ when i left the store with her. Very expensive hobby. You could make your own but it'll take a while.

  • @forgottentilldeath do you recomend any other lizard except the bearded dragon ????

  • @lego3311 I was referring to my chinese water dragon. they're different than bearded dragons. You want more of what he has for a chinese water dragon and more of a desert scenario for a bearded dragon. And Chinese water dragons are cheaper than most reptiles at the big name stores (petsmart pet co pet depot) I say for a beginner get a chinese water dragon. They are fun they move around and can be handled. Anoles are like what 8$ they are really small and fragile and fast. Anole would be cheapest

  • The best terra i've ever seen :D

  • what size tank is that to if u dont mind me asking

  • @patnyay14 That tank is 55 gallons.

  • @bxwarrior011 where did you buy that

    pls reply

  • @bxwarrior011 Ok I have a real issue hear. My CWD had a scab when I got her on her nose and it got worse as she continued to knock into things ( intentionally and un intentionally) the it was right about where her lip is. The scab has broken off. you can see the inside of her mouth like just where I guess its front teeth would be. What should I do. I can't find anything

  • @forgottentilldeath Yea, the best thing you can do is get some neosporen and apply some on the spot. I had the same situation with my cwd. His happened because of the Exo-Terra terrarium bar that holds up the glass, He kept jumping towards it and eventually had a swollen scab (Which is why I sold the exo-terra tank). Luckily this does NOT effect your lizards long term health and doesn't effect his eating behavior either. Get neosporen and apply it daily for atleast 2 weeks.

  • @bxwarrior011 Btw, That will NOT regrow as you may know. But it will heal the wound.

  • @bxwarrior011 OK thank you very much just regular neosporin?

  • @bxwarrior011 I was wondering how would I be able to make a custome one tank and all and a I'm going to try to make a custom water fall too you know over time mine is still a baby though he is 7,8 maybe 10 inches.

  • where did u get that waterfall and also what brand is it???

  • @patnyay14 Brand is Tetra, And its the Tetra Decorative filter.

  • i havent got a water dragon, but tht is FUCKING AWSOME!!

  • nice setup bud

  • The best part of haveing a pet like that is the tail... Cut it off and makes a good stew! best part is that it will grow back over time! ^.^

  • how long do they get and how long does there tail get??

  • where did you get the twisted branch thingy from???

  • how often do you clean you water and is it hard to clean it?

  • @adampace236 He's not in that enclosure anymore, but when he was it was fairly easy to clean. The only hard part was the water, shit would be under the gravel making it harder to clean.

  • I bet that's a pain cleaning though...

  • @jadefalconio21 it was fairly simple, water was a bitch tho..lol

  • Sick tank man!

  • Thats cooll mine cooler

  • thanks

  • @bxwarrior011 and do you know another thing i can put

  • @bxwarrior011 thanks do you know where I can find the "separator"

  • Yeah how do you do it did you put a glass or what thing, I am thinking I will buy the exo-terra terrarium of 36-18-18 and I'll put the exo-terra waterfall and when I saw it I like it alot and I one to put it like you, but I have a leopard gecko do you think it is a good idea???

  • @mrgeckoleopard2010 The water/dirt seperator is the Esskay Reserve, I baught it from Petsmart.com but its no longer available. As for your leopard gecko. It wouldnt hurt him to say the least, As long as the temps are high it should be fine.

  • what did you use to make the water from not going to the other side

  • @lizardboy124 The water/dirt seperator is the Esskay Reserve

  • narley setup bro

  • Hi, this isn't about your set up, but you were so kind to respond to my first question AND you have experience feeding your dragon that I do not, so I thought I'd give another question a try...How do you get a CWD to eat from tongs? My baby (really little guy) won't do it at all! When I feed crickets I've resorted to putting him in a smaller tank w/just cwd and crickets so he can find/catch em all. I don't want to have to move him out forever, how do I get him to feed off the tongs? Thx!

  • @AutismAwareness02 I tried feeding with tongs, What I did was wiggle lets say a cricket or a fish that way he notices it. I personally dont use tongs anymore, Because when my CWD would take a bite at the food he would actually bite alittle bit of the tong too and I dont wanna take a chance at him damaging his mouth. I hope this helps.

  • This aquarium looks just like mine! My CWD is only a few weeks in our home from the exotic pet store, he/she is tiny, but we are planning to do an awesome set up like this. I've been told they can stay in a 55 gallon for their whole lives. Why did you give your CWD a new home? Before I invest in a 55 gallon home decor for him, I'd like to know if it is going to be perm. Thank you!

  • @AutismAwareness02 55 gallon tank is fine, Some will say its not big enough. But thats a matter of opinion, If your just keeping ONE CWD its fine..I'm soon going to be getting another CWD so thats why I decided to make a whole to enclosure.

  • @bxwarrior011 Awesome! Thanks for quick and good advice!

  • Cool! I'm getting one this weak!!!!!! =D

  • nice setup! im hopefully getting a chi9nese water dragon soon, need a pimped out viv! did you spend alot on the viv and extras?

  • will a 50 gallon tank be enough?

  • @stickanimator2000 For a while. When they are full grown, two can fit in a 75 gallon

  • What did you use to barricade the eco earth from the water?

  • @SilverSquid34 esskay reserve with silicon..

  • thanks i have looked everywhere

  • how old is he?

  • @xXTHExSiMPLExLiFEXx this september will make him 2 years old.

  • hi just woundering if u can help me. I live in the uk (scotland) and have been looking for the barriers ESSKAy for my viv with my water dragons and i cant find them anywhere if u can give me uk site that would be brill also love the setup thanks and hope to here from you

  • @sam030491 I'll try, I'll get back to you when I do find it.

  • @bxwarrior011 any luck dude with the search for the reserve

  • @sam030491 honestly, I cant even find it on a US site anymore..sorry.

  • where u get that

  • nice im geting one tomorow look at my vids

  • beast

  • WOW.. That was SUPER NICE DONE!!! VERY GOOD.

  • @Lovemygecko79 thanks!

  • Awesome! I'm thinking about doing this for a ball python, because the like to soak in the water and could also drink it since it's being filtered!

  • This is one of the best set ups I've seen on youtube for a CWD. 1 question - What did you use to seperate the land from water?

  • @FisherFilmsTV thanks, its called turtle reserve, got it from petsmart.com hope that helps. It looks alittle different online, but its the one I have.

  • does the filter work good?

  • @idae209 As long as you have 2 bio bags with it, yea.

  • hey how often do you mist your tank.....and do u mist all of it?

  • @Ramosgt3 I dont mist at all, since I have that pool there for it.

  • @bxwarrior011 hey how wide is that tank of yours??

  • great set up! what did you use to seperate the water and land

  • @FisherFilmsTV its called turtle reserve, got it from petsmart.com

  • ohh myy godd !!! thats beautiful :O

  • spoiled rotten! :)

  • @kitsuneryu89 i agree! lucky ass lizard!!!!

  • @kitsuneryu89 lol. :)

  • nice tank! i like your set up looks good and your water dragons is really good looking aswell

  • Comment removed

  • @idae209 the waterfall that I have is a tetrafauna repto filter, it comes with its own pump. The filter bags are called Whisper Bio-Bags. Hope that helps.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @idae209 The waterfall has a pump, plus theres 2 medium filter bags.

  • @bxwarrior011

oh ok. what type of pumps did you use? I was going to do a setup similar to this with 1/3 tank just water for my skinks.

  • Very, very beautiful setup you got there. ;) nice effort put not. It.

  • Beautiful setup. Check out my bearded dragon some time and let me know what you think of his antics! peace :)

  • how much all that cost?

  • I want to do a similar water setup but slightly wider, cuz ive seen this kinda setup in alot of videos, i just wanted to know how hard is it toclean? I currently have a water bowl which is quite small and unatrractive but its easy to clean. '

  • @IMPULSIVEBUYERGUY Its not that bad, as long as you have a siphon your good.

  • @bxwarrior011 THANKS! how often do u have to clean it? i currently have to do it every other day. if i have a filter and a water conditioner how often will i have to manually clean it? THANKS!

  • @bxwarrior011 hi where did u get your Tetra Waterfall/Filter from? Thanks

  • @Jaygz21 petco.com

  • wickid man

  • very nice

  • how do you get the rock on the side of the cage? im looking to do something like that for my peach throat monitor, not the background, i have that on my cage, but the rock sticking out

  • @d3th4u2 either magnets or suction cups... or you buy it ready to attach

  • I so want a similar set up!.... any tips or tutorials on how I could do so?

  • can it live in that for the rest of its life? PLEASE RESPOND!

  • @SPIKE2TAPOUT

I spoke to alot of vets and they all say its fine, So my answer to you is yes, he can live there for the rest of his life.

  • all you people forgot that chinese water dragons are aboreal they like height more then length

  • @SPIKE2TAPOUT

I would not recommend it. They get 3 feet long and will be much healthier with a lot of room to move around in.

  • @SPIKE2TAPOUT no water dragons need at least a room when they grow full ,or else its cruel .i had a 8 foot long 6 foot high and 5 foot deep enclosure and it was to small .

  • @SKERRIESSCUM Lmao, If you thought the enclosure you made was to small. you are mistaken, that enclosure you said you made was/is perfect for him. And theres nothing cruel about it, Dont get fooled by little youtube children making assumptions.

  • sexiest setup ever.

  • @bxwarrior011 How did you divide the end of your cage to hold water?

Im sorry If someone already asked but I realy want to do that for my cage.

And how hard is it to clean is poop out of that/ keep it clean?

  • @Temphanis its a barrier from petsmart called turtle reserve. I used silicon to seal the ends. If you have a water siphon pump then your good since your going to be replacing that water every week or so. If you have a filtration like mines does then the cleaning becomes less of a problem.

  • @bxwarrior011 How did you divide the end of your cage to hold water?

Im sorry If someone already asked but I realy want to do that for my cage.

  • @bxwarrior011 O ya i forgot to ask, with a normal tank like that is it hard to get the CWD out?

  • @Crestiefreak nah, its pretty easy really.

  • @bxwarrior011

    Hi

where did you get the screen cover for your tank? wherever i go the 55 gallons all have lighting canopy tops with no lid. can you tell me some places i can get screen?

  • @Crestiefreak

    nvm i found one XD

  • @Crestiefreak lol aight, I was going to say that I got this tank with the screen top from my uncle. So i wasnt sure where he got it from.

  • @Crestiefreak I built the top for mine. What I did was got some 1'x1/2' inch boards and cut them to size. And Since its a fish aquarium I built two lids to sit on either side of the spacer in the Center. I made them to sit down on the ledges on the inside of the top, like how the aquarium hoods do. And I stapled wire screen on the underside faceing the cage interior.

I know Its a late reply, but I hoped it helped.

  • Is that a 60 gallon

  • @bosmike12 55 gallon

  • Alright

hi you okay nice viv looks smart were u get yours barriers from because i got red baby iguana n im tryin to to the same cheers mate

  • @drew2k91 thanks.

  • GREATTT ... LUCKY DRAGON ! :)

  • this is the best setup for a chinese water dragon i have seen in a long time!

  • will this setup last the dragon for life?

  • @ISaidYesYesYes

    Actually yes, It will..

  • @bxwarrior011 then how come everywhere i look and people i talk to talk tell me that the CWD encloser needs to be wider and taller for the animal? im not trying to be a dick im actually asking a question

  • @bxwarrior011 then how come every person ive talked to said that their cage needs to be larger than a 55 gallon tank? im actually asking a question not being a dick

  • @ISaidYesYesYes

I know what you saying, I aint taking to offense. Vets and reptile shops have all told me a 55 gallon is perfect, Sure you can go bigger but its more in a persons preference I guess. So far my CWDs been healthy and happy with no signals of stress.

  • @bxwarrior011 well thats good to know. i guess ill be putting my new water dragon in one of my 55's then haha

  • @JackoToonLad

Yea it will...Alot of people will say no because some child told them other wise..Before I baught my CWD I asked vets and petshops to get the right enclosure and they said this is fine to use for his entire life. They only grow 34-36 inches depending there gender.

  • @bxwarrior011 thnks man obv vets will know alot better than misinformed people from petshops that want more money ..lol, im hopefully gunna be getting one soon, i nearly had to baby sit a small CWD this week nd setup a little 20 gal real quick(posted a vid on youtube if you wonna check it out) im gunna try n get a female so its smaller.peopele forget that the tail makes up most of its body so there is still alot of space for the animal. anyways thanks again

  • @JackoToonLad

No prob, this tank here is a 55 gallon. Yea these CWD tales are crazy long. I remember getting it as a baby and the tail was already double the size of the body of the lizard. I still cant tell what mines is but I'm banking that its a female.

  • @bxwarrior011 Sweet, if i get a baby i thin ill be startin it of in a 40 gal then upgrading later btw i subbed you Sub me back :)

  • how do you hang the rocks off the walls are they special rocks made with magnets?

  • @Darthcheese114

They're magnaturals, They have magnets on the back.

  • Nice!

  • nice setup what size is the tank?

  • nice set up, the barrier stop the water completly out from coming out or did you add some kind of sealant on the sides.

  • @ocadenas68

thanks, yea I added silicon on the bottom and corners.

  • where did u get that barrier between the water and land?

  • @ViaLaBam25

I ordered it from petsmart online. its called the turtle reserve.

  • HOE DID U BREAK THAT TANK UP IN SECTIONS???

  • how does that vine stay

  • @pupyup12

I have it just laying on the ledge and trapped in the dirt.

  • O my bad i meant to ask u do u have to have 2 uvb lights?

  • umm hey do u keep your uvb lighst and your basking on at night? and do u have to have 2 uvb lights.

    .

  • @KraZykilla316

I dont keep them on at night, I have a thermal red light for heat at night. I have 2 UVB lights also.

  • alrite thanks

  • do u know if its ok to use real leaves from outside to use in the cwd's tank? will it harm it ? ha and sorry if i ask alot of questions because im getting a cwd soon just want to make every thing perfect

  • @KraZykilla316

No problem. I'm not sure, I use bamboo plants on my new setup and so far theres no problems. As long as its clean and not with spikes like a cactus you should have no issues. But do some research online to make sure.

  • Do u have to use a filter for the water and stuff? if u do how do u use it??

  • @KraZykilla316

Yea you do need a filter with the waterfall, which it does come with. Its pretty simple to use. You just put the filter in the waterfall, and connect the power and thats it.

  • such a sweet set up how much did it all cost

  • @KraZykilla316

thanks, in this setup in total it was around 700 dollars all together with light fixtures and everything in it. But with my new exo terra tank its over 1100 dollars now. next week I'm buying a couple of sprinklers/nozzles since I'm making a rain system in the tank.

  • what about the platform above the waterfall did u get that from petsmart too?

  • @KraZykilla316

oh, thats the magnaturals ledge. I got them at petlanddiscounts.

  • how did u seperate the water and were did u get the platform because this set up is awsome

  • @KraZykilla316

I used the barrier with silicon, I got the barrier from petsmart. thanks.

  • dimensions terrarium?

  • that tank is 46 inches x 13 x 21.

  • @bxwarrior011 thanks

  • awsomesetup mang! once i get some more flow ill prolly do that to mine, how do you empty the water?

  • @GreenTheDragon

thanks, I use a siphon to take the water out. I baught a new tank (exo-terra terrarium) so I'm planning to buy another filter, it should help keep the water clean and less manual cleaning from me.

  • around how often do you change the filters? i usally buy new ones onlt after a few weeks before the get nasty, i thnk because of the shallow water; and i use mine for a turtle!

  • I change it weekly, It starts making some annoying noise when its dirty..Its really annoying.

  • hey did you know you can use the magnaturals on the edge of the water allso? i use them for my baby turtles as basking spots.byfar my favorite cage decoration ever invented (besides the lid)

  • @rcooper95

Yea, The magnaturals are awesome. I had them in the water before be changed my the setting. Btw, I seen your vids..I like that turtle pond very nice.

  • o yea whats the song in this vid?

  • to be honest I have no idea, I was hearing hot 97 at the moment.
