No its not dumbass! its because i had it jailbroken with categories and when i installed 3.0 none of my apps showed up cause they were in folders. and i figured out how to get them back and i didnt restore it again to do that. dont leave a bad comment like that when u dont know the situation!

apple recoded the framework, and just rewriting the parts necessary could/probably will cause problems, so it was easier for them to just completely reflash your nand and start anew.

thats why none of your apps show up.

just redownload them.

idk wtf ur talkin about cause i have a life and dont hack but every time u put an app from cydia into a categories folder and then delete it from ur ipod from cydia then redownload it u have to enable then dissable restrictions for it to show up on your springboard. and the same for appstore apps if you have them in a folder then restore or upgrade to 3.0 they will not show up on the springboard unless u enable then disable restrixtions so stfu. btw it said i had 70some apps but NONE showed up!!

its called syncing after a backup and i know what iwas doing... and i BOUGHT the ipod touch when it first came out and i got apps when the appstore came out then i got the itouch 2g for christmas its called having a job working at a movie theater so im pretty sure that people with jobs have lives. p.s. there over 35,000 apps in the appstore and considering how half of them are FREE 70 is a tiny number.

"syncing" is just the word they give to "downloading to ipod", just as "big mac" is the word they give to "hamburger made in mcdonalds". syncing is still downloading, just as a big mac is still a hamburger. 70 compared to 35000 is a small number, but we're comparing 70 to the # of apps most ppl would download, not the total # of apps.

yea i know its not the beta. it says so in the title. and its not fully functional. cuz if it were, bluetooth capability would be there. and YES, the iPod touch 2nd Gen has a bluetooth chip which Apple was planning to unlock in 3.0.

i used bbsipodtouchhelp's video to guide me through the process and noticed features were missing.

really? crap! i used the download for the iPhone 3G and thats missing stuff. you have the one for iTouch. i just have to wait. i suggest updating to the legit 3.0 when you get the chance but i think you need to pay like 10 bucks. iPhone owners dont have to pay though

its not a true 3.0. its still missing alot of features like bluetooth capablty, mms, and stuff but the landscape text is awesome. i suggest getting the real thing when it comes out and just have this, what i wouldt call "iPone 2.5," until 3.0 comes out
