Many people get War Front, born in 2002, and War Emblem, born in 1999, confused considering they have similar names. But The Factor was sired by War Front, not War Emblem. War Emblem was sired by Our Emblem and out of the mare Sweetest Lady. War Front on the other hand was sired by Danzig and out of the mare Starry Dreamer.

Ferdinand was unfortunately slaughtered in Japan. Part of him rests between the upper and sole of my right shoe in the form of glue. It's quite sad really, but he saved the day for me. O'h well it's an ill wind, etc.

War Emblem was not slaughtered. He is as far as I know doing a little bit better at stud. I think he also produced a few stakes winners. It was a very sad thing that happened to Ferdinand. Hope they have buy back clauses for the horses sent overseas.

keppilover it sounds like you know almost nothing about racing. maybe your a fan but wofsmother is right. willie showmakeer became the oldest man at age 54 to win the derby and ferdinand was then sold to japan, after failing at stud and several failed attempts to contact them it was found he was then slaughtered because he was not a good sire.

@MrPhoenix30 Ferdinand was sent to race in Japan, when he retired he was put out to stud. He was a failure as a stud, and in Japan horse meat is a common food source. He was slaughtered yes, but he wasn't just sent to japan to be slaughtered...some people make things more dramatic than need be. (No i don't think it's right, it's just fact)

Horse racing like bull fighting is cruel if not more since we dont get to see the cruelty... horses wont cease to stop being sent to Japan until people stop supporting horse racing in USA..
