How exactly did you set this up for the USB recording? Anything I've tried to record direct with the USB sounded really, REALLY bad, but when I play through an amp, or a set of computer speakers plugged into the headphone jack, it sounds REALLY good. I can't figure out why it sounds so bad via recording though. Any suggestions?
Thanks. I actually recorded a separate bass track and added to it too the mix. The volume of the bass track was too loud. Oh well, I don't have the original trax to remix it.
I plug it directly in the input jack of my amp. The treble, bass and mid on the amp are all set at 5. The amp itself does however have a lot to do with the tonal quality, as the pod x3 live doesn't sound as alive through a solid state amp.
Don't you think that the sound is poor in brightness? I've got pod 2.0 and it has the same problem; if you take its direct out (directly in the sound card using the ampli-simulation section) the sound is "very bass-frequency oriented" and it's impossible to have "visibility" in the mix. Things change if you pass through a real amplifier turning off the speaker simulation. It's my understanding that you used an amply. So why a so dark sound? Bye and ty all :-)
It sounds great thru a sparkly clean amp like a Fender. It sounds somewhat dark in the video, because I used too much bass guitar in the mix. I hate anything direct out. Doing that always sounds too compressed/digital. Before the podx3 I could have bought practically any amp and I made the right choices with this combination.
@metlguitar02 Yes!! People thought I was mad coz I was replacing a load of top pedals with this very model myself :) People say you bet better quality sound from individual pedals but thats bullshit - All them cables and power jacks cause a LOT of interference
You're absolutely right. Let me tell you: I have hated many multi effect pedals on the market. I had played them all. I was for the longest time struggling to find the perfect setup -- an amp that had a crystal clear clean tone and a killer distortion tone for classic rock to heavy metal. No amp exists..solution is this little pedal.
This unit sounds great for direct out, but I plug it through my fender twin reverb amp and it is the PERFECT sound. I'll be demoing it so feel free to subscribe.

Dream Theater is the only suitable sound test. Well done.

You may want to put some mids and treble in there. Really sounds like you have all bottom end and zero top end
That said, nice playing.

To bad ... I really dig the track you put down.
Maybe next time .. ;-)

I think it would sound better if you just plugged your line6 direct to the mixing board.

can you record directly from the unit to the computer?

Yes, you can. It's quite good for direct out.

does your fender have an effects return or power amp input? or do you plug this board into the guitar input jack on the amp?

Sounds really good.

Thanks. I sold many hundreds of dollars in pedals because this replaced them all.

Nice. I wouldve done the same, if i had alot of pedals lol. But im going to try to save up for this. :)
