Yo I can tell you firsthand, im a novice Hwoarang player when it comes to his juggles...i mean sometimes I pull parts of a juggle off- when lucky..but I've beaten a few skilled players by just confusing them with mad kickss, no combos..and I didn't cheese....he's just an intricate type of character with those flamingo stances....I can just imagine when I DO master the juggles..im gonna discipline these Hwoarang haters at the arcade I go to, lol

@hardwirecars his flamingo is hard to master but it's easier to remember if you can get the rhythm of his moves done pat. if you notice, when you use his kicks during the flamingo stances, it's almost timed. like at 2:08 to 2:10, it almost seems like it has the right timing, like from a beat to a song. i learned how to use that flamingo technique by getting the timing right then completly disregarding the timing after i learned it ( so no one gets me off guard)

Hwoarang starters use (1=square, 2=tri,3=X,4=circle) D3,4(low)goes to R.flam in right Flamingo press D4,3(low)goes back 2 L.flam in lef flam press 3,press.hold Fowrd (mid) ur still in Lflam u can D3,4 or 3 foward(hold) then 3 foward(hold) again practice this move takes timing or 1 for jab in L.flam and 2 for jab in R.flam also in L.flam hold F(foward)press 3 its hits when ppl try to interfere wit ur flamingo and F4 in R.Flam same kick just different stance and against duck opp press 3 in R.flam

@ashanirpaneer 4 all hwoarang starters he barraged him with these D3,4 (low attack) then while in right flamingo D4,3 (low attack) goes back to left flm then D3,4 goes back to right also while in left flm press X then press & hold foward immediately to hold flm (mid att use against ducking oppenent ) and also DF(down and foward) 3 (mid against croaching opp to launch them) after luanch immediate DB4 press hold back then 2 then B4

the white-pants hwoarang is really good! He differanciates his moves and attacks mainly with the fists first, which is pretty clever since most of the characters kicks are slow compared to the fists, plus you can make a combo and switch to kicks after the punch. In my opinion Hwoarang is an easy to play, but hard to master character. As for the 'speed up' question of whitenoisestereo: If I recall correctly the game was speed up by a few frames (4 or so)

I don't own a PS3 yet, so I'm only familiar with Tekken up to 5. I thought I was doing fine with Hwoa, but then I changed difficulty to ultrahard and realized how much I suck :P It's still enough to beat my friends, but the AI kicks my ass a lot, so it's time to train some more ^^

Have you seen any tkd against any caporeia or shotokan karate, or kung fu? No I havent just mostly tkd vs muay thai cause people want to prove that tkd sport has no place with other martial arts sport. When come down to it tkd sport is good for staying in shape while learning reaction time but you can't use it for the selfdefence. TKD as a martial art however would be taught to hurt someone quickly and all those fancy kick would be finish moves instead of hey look at me. Like korean military.

You are right but some arts have holes in their philosophy and their training. Thats why as a black belt you start training in your art and strive to study your art and other arts to fill in techinques not taught in your art. But a lot of time it is the artist and not the art.

Thats because tkd is focus on the mid range and long range strikes and not the long-close range strikes. Besides if a tkd want to kick you in the leg he will go for the knees and not the thigh since a tkd round kick is usually targeted to a small area. Nose, groin, solar plexus, liver. Low side kicks like in the patterns of Gwang Gae and Po Eun are better to use than round kicks. I will admit though tkd is good for basic selfdefence but it has holes in it just like muy thai. Like the ground.

I have also studied a lil of kickboxing and plain on studing a lil bjj when I free up time from teaching. Do your organization take three yrs to get to 1st dan? Mine only takes 2. Don't be nervous. Just do some good cardio, practice accruacy kicks on the pads and your board breaks and you will be fine. By the way, what style do you practice??????
