It's my understanding there's only one or two 78 copies of this record known to survive. It is also a very early electrical recording! This was recorded at Orlando Marsh's Marsh Laboratories, who had built their own primitive home-brew electric recording system in the early 1920s, not long before the major labels adopted the Western Electric recording system. Marsh's facility produced recordings for several labels, including Paramount, Pathe, and Autograph, for whom this record was made.

i have an lp with this on it, amazing stuff! I'm interested in starting a 78 collection of 20s jazz records, but i know i'll never see this one!
