When doing stiff legged deadlift you do not bounce the weight of the floor! Slow negatives and a good stretch. Legs should be straight at all time to keep tension on the hamstrings otherwise lower back is being worked most. It's an isolation movement not a powermovement.
@RAV3N96 Couldn't agree more with what you have said. Great way to do some serious damage is to do such and exercise with ballistic and uncontrolled movements. Well said good comment
Wrong. With deadlifts of any matter, if you keep tension like that without resting the weight on the floor, you will end up damaging ligaments, muscle tear, long term knee pain. It's better to "bounce" the weight off the floor when deadlifting.
@heat4yoass No. Bouncing the weight wil more likely result in a muscle/ ligament tear, as it is less controlled. If you don't have constant tension on the muscle, you aren't getting the full benefit of every rep. So you may "complete" ten, but only get the benefit of five, because you lost tension on that muscle, so the benfit goes to supporting muscles.
Then what do you suggest for a deadlift because performing deadlifts and stiff legged deadlifts have different negatives. btw, I could have worded it differently, but you probably think bounce it literally. I actually meant let the weight rest on the floor momentarily rather than keeping tension on it. A lot of people get injured this way.
@heat4yoass Yeah, i thought you meant quickly changing directions to preserve momentum. I agree, a slight pause is better because it forces the muslce to stop and start the movement(assuming no cheating is done) to continue the set. Well said.
touche. Actually you said it alot better than I did. Glad there's people out there that are knowledgeable on deadlifts. I see way too many people doing it wrong at the gym and notice them not doing it ever again after for obvious reasons.
5:10 did he just say that front squats takes off the compression on the lower back???I thought all form of squats causes spine compression? am I wrong?
@stylezNout No. Muscle imbalances, inflexibility, not properly warming up the muscle, and improper form cause knee problems, not the excercise itself.
@stylezNout i agree. i've been working out for 3 years now and recently i was doing some leg extensions with some light weight (and about 10 reps each set). all of the sudden my left knee started hurting and i thought nothing of it so stretched it out a bit and took it easy. then when i got to squats, my left knee hurt like a bitch and i had to stop
@FallenAmongThornsx If you work out like you're supposed to, then about an hour to an hour and a half of working out does just fine. As far as I'm concerned, burning to many calories is a good thing. :D
i have tried fron squat b4 but i thought it was pretty sore when im resting it across my shoulders. maybe im doing it wrong or maybe you get used to it?
why do some body builders say that you dont need heavy weights to get big muscles and that its form and concentration rather than heavy weights? Good example is Vic Costa.
I liked it.

haha. Funny it is. My partner was once a skinny
guy but he tried the program offered by the site:
MusclesMaximizer.info
in just a few weeks under its program, his muscles
started to get visible now. Never thought an
internet program like this would make him grow
musculas.:))
