Orlando loves JJ Redick, and this is coming from a Magic fan. The dude missed a wide open, game-tying three in game 6 of the playoffs last year, and we don't care in the least, because we'd give him that same shot all day.
JJ's improved a lot,but you wanna talk about a guy only doing one thing his whole college career and being the best in the nation for that one thing is crazy.
i personally like JJ Redick now - he's a hard-nosed defender and hustles around by driving into the paint hard to collapse the D and then dishing it out and also going for loose balls and rebounds and all that. he's also become a better ball-handler and can drive it in some. but in college he was absolutely a rail-thin one-dimensional shooter. the comparisons btwn. jimmer and jj redick are off. but at this point redick is absolutely the better player (in NBA)

Jj was the best spot shooter I personally had ever seen in college. Pinpoint from anywhere on the court. I would watch duke games and just keep my eye on him the whole time, he was that exciting to watch

Now I think he's content being a role player and there's nothing wrong with that. I do see what you're saying. When I watch Magic games I always hope he just starts draining 3s in peoples faces, going off for 30 or 40 points, but on Orlando, he's about the 4th/5th option so he doesn't get enough touches. I just hope he wins a championship.

I agree. I didn't think he could make the transition to the NBA, but he's proved me wrong. He's a good passer, shooter, and blocker. He plays with his head and is always alert and ready. It's good to see him getting more play time.

No. Redick is doing his thing this year. He's averaging over 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists a game now that he's receiving some time on the floor.

Morrisons rookie year he averaged around 12 points a game but he tore his acl the same year...hard to recover from that.. for most of the season he led over brandon roy for rookie of the year..

I personally thought Redick was a top 5 prospect during the 2006 NBA Draft. But I guess the managers that passed on him were wise. Reddick made a poor transition between NCAA and NBA, plus early injuries have slowed him down. But he still has the talent to become one of the best volume shooters in the league.
Curry has way more ball handling skills, passing skills, and a better basketball I.Q., he can also jump way higher so he has way more potential then Redick did or does.
he can jump higher but redick had all the handles u needed in this game duke had him set up perfectly so he didnt have to dribble to create shots, but many times in his carreer he did have to make some awesome moves off the dribble to create his own shots

jj does good in the nba..he won't dominate like dwight howard..but jj will hit a few 3's and some free throws..he's good to have on any roster..

Redick could very easily be a starter on most teams. When he was starting he was averaging over 16 a game, 4 assists ect.

Reddick was an animal at Duke. Yes i love reddick and Duke but i have to say i new he was not going to do that much in the NBA. But he is one of the best Duke shooters they have ever had. GO JJ

well generally speaking u spoke 2 early if u look at his stats now he is averagin 8 points 2 rebounds and under 2 assists so his play has decreased . truth is its 2 late for him 2 develop as a good player in magic , he has ruined his chances especially wid vince on board van gundy wont c him as there future point guard or shooting , his development has bin 2 slow which is van gundys fault and his own , hopefully he will b traded sumwhere he can get better , u dont get betta watchin from the benh

Morrisons rookie year he averaged around 12 points a game but he tore his acl the same year...hard to recover from that.. for most of the season he led over brandon roy for rookie of the year..

I personally thought Redick was a top 5 prospect during the 2006 NBA Draft. But I guess the managers that passed on him were wise. Reddick made a poor transition between NCAA and NBA, plus early injuries have slowed him down. But he still has the talent to become one of the best volume shooters in the league.

Curry has way more ball handling skills, passing skills, and a better basketball I.Q., he can also jump way higher so he has way more potential then Redick did or does.

he can jump higher but redick had all the handles u needed in this game duke had him set up perfectly so he didnt have to dribble to create shots, but many times in his carreer he did have to make some awesome moves off the dribble to create his own shots

hopefully he'll get more playing time with orlando now that Hedo Turkoglu is becoming a free agent. He hit 5 3's when he started against boston in the playoffs, so he could obviously be a great player if he was given more chances.
