Good kombos, it's a shame that Kitana's been patched and I also think they've patched the throwing fan to include a follow up fan to prevent it kontinuing the kombo. Guess it had to be done though konsidering how easy it was to get high damage kombo's with her.
@Dragosprite I think it only looks that way here because they do so many hits with her before the X-Ray lands, that damage scaling just takes so much off of it's damage potential.

after watching your combo vid I realized that since the update players become heavy after you start an air juggle. meaning that you can fan lift into fan toss (air) but you can't fan toss (air) into fan lift. This sux. guess I better learn scorpion or meleena . LOL

My 2 mains are Kitana and Rain. Rain i can combo but i miss something from range, with Kitana i use a lot of specials and keep people at a distance, now i have some new options
For some reason, after the second fan throw in the air, the updraft move( b,b,2) will only suspend the opponent for a short period of time before they drop, and by then it would be too slow for me to move. Is it because I have not updated my MK9?

@maxprezas92 lol it literally means just that. You hold down the square(for ps3) and then dash and it cancels. But you have to dash while holding. Once she moves you can let go and continue
@maxprezas92 i dnt know what system u have i have xbox 360 but when you do the front+B she will do her kick press x and she will use her fan quickly do the fan throw special using a bar meter, but keep on holding x when she throws the first fan still hold x, quickly dash she will cancel in and you can let go of x and do what ever move u desire i hope it helps just imagine this in ur system ways
@nateman79 it shouldn't be patched because it's very strict timing and can be broken by a breaker. Have you seen loops and cheap combos with cyrax, baraka, kratos, noob, raiden, smoke, Lao, Liu kang, and ermac? Those should be patched not skill. These combos are hard to land unless you're going against a newbie. You can do portions of this which do about 40 so that's fair enough as oppose to 70% and up with resets that these other players have
@agomaster5 I was trying out kitana and figured out how to cancel. You have to used the enhanced fan toss, but hold down the square and dash at the same time. It will cancel out the next fan but chaining it to a jump is very quick and strict timing
if these combos arent patched yet they should be. its crap that no matter how good you are, if you let your opponent slip 1 hit in it will turn in to a 38 hit combo that drains way over half your life. and you cant do jack shit about it. mortal kombat big flawtality are the cheap combos. save that junk for killer instinct where you can break the combo at any time.

They continually screw up and nerf skilled characters like mileena and sindel, not sure about the other females, but don't create a penalty such as a stun after the third spam move from a male character
@splendid1000 no you can't. You can spam with only the male characters and sindel and kitana. But sindel and kitana actually do require skill to spam so i dont think that counts

Love your combo videos, can you (or anyone) confirm which of these still work after patch 1.02? I'm pretty new to fighting games and have always had problems stringing combos together. Doing the first combo (Jade), I always miss relaunching the opponent into the with the fan lift, is it because the patch prevents it or is it because im not inputting it fast enough? Can somone confirm?
@ydwang83 My PS3 is currently broken so the latest version I had was 1.01 + hotfix but I didn't notice any differences to Kitana other than lower damage so all of her combos should still work. Doing combos in this game is pretty stressful due to the "stiff" controls/movements so it'll probably take some time to get used to them.
@personaworld Thanks for the quick response man! I've managed to string the combo together but instead of the kick after fanlift, i had to switch that into punch as it is a little faster.

Great vid man. I've been pretty decent with Kitana execution so far, managed to get her 48% bnb down consistently now, but it's mainly the 4th (Sheeva) combo I'm having trouble with. After the first 4~Fan, I struggle to connect the dash 2~Fan. Is there any particular trick to getting this off? Thanks.
After watching this combo videos a few weeks ago, I started to play Kitana regularly. Never before have I tried one combo (#9, performed on Kratos) over and over again just to land one damn time. With all the timing that one combo requires, I've wondered how long it took to pull it off. Oh, and for the record, finally pulled the whole thing off, after a lot of practicing. Love the combo videos man, simply incredible stuff, especially the Kitana one.A
so im pretty sure kitanas damage and block stun lock down ability has been nerfed pretty hard. for example, the first combo in this vid does only 45% dmg now without jump in punch intro(49% with it i think?). Its good though because she used to be able to button mash and if the opponent let go of block to do the slightest quickest light jab, she would hit first...was rediculous....unfortunately, i play this game at work where i can't patch :(. if ur reading this mike...im talking about you :)
I just love your Kitana vids (she's my main fighter), they're awesome to look at. The combos are great and easy to pull off, with some practice of course. I've used some of your combos and they got some players stunned. I've also used your Jade & Mileena vids and they're just as good. I need to work on them a bit more, but with practice I'll get them down. Keep doing your thing and make some great vids for us fighting gamers.

its really hard to land combos like these against people online. I'm not saying its impossible but I faced some dude who was like 70 - 10 or something and he was nasty with Kitana and her combos.....word of advice against anybody playing any of these people, b4 they can get their combo started just jump over them. Most times people are still in the middle of their combo since you kinda have to push the buttons ahead of time leaving you your opportunity.....needless to say i beat him.
These are really cool. Too bad I'm too chicken to play online. I kinda wish somebody would just make a video of her just making everyone float with upraise. XD
@ThunderThighs23814 The damage scaling if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure that a 20+ hit will no longer do anything around 50-60%, especially X-Ray ending. Being that I have not played against an advanced Kitana (and these combos seem viable to perform in competitive play) I have never seen anything of the sort, in length or damage. I do know 100% that her X-Ray will scale down to 10% if deep enough, but as far as the others, I'm not 100%. However, I think something is off, no disrespect.
@ThunderThighs23814 The combo at 1.57 with the ground fan loop either is no longer, or will no longer be possible. My first post was a mis-post. It should have read WILL BE. That is a bug. Now as far as the others, man, they may be left alone. The damage just seems extreme, but if it's legit, then congrats to persona for finding. I will have to reference this video (with his credit of course) to the forums at TYM. Definitely worth discussing these monsters.
Great kombo videos. Through your vids, you can see the biggest differences between the female ninjas, the "PowerPuff Girls" as some people call them. One has very limited kombo variation, and relies on the corners to do a lot of her bigger kombos, but has a lot of damage output [Jade]. One has a lot of kombo variation, but her damage output sucks [Mileena]. And the last has the best of both worlds: kombo variation and damage output [Kitana]. Hopefully Skarlett's more like Kitana than the others.

too bad most of those combos wont work whit the last update :( id like to know wich ones still work because most iv tryed the <-<- triangle thing just resets the combo so i cant keep doing them.... :( also the <-triangle doing it more than 2 times resents and some times even the 2nd resets it :(:(:(:(

Great vid man. I've been pretty decent with Kitana execution so far, managed to get her 48% bnb down consistently now, but it's mainly the 4th (Sheeva) combo I'm having trouble with. After the first 4~Fan, I struggle to connect the dash 2~Fan. Is there any particular trick to getting this off? Thanks.

After watching this combo videos a few weeks ago, I started to play Kitana regularly. Never before have I tried one combo (#9, performed on Kratos) over and over again just to land one damn time. With all the timing that one combo requires, I've wondered how long it took to pull it off. Oh, and for the record, finally pulled the whole thing off, after a lot of practicing. Love the combo videos man, simply incredible stuff, especially the Kitana one.A

this shit is just impossible.. I cant pull of a single on of these.
I cant even get the Scorpion bit to function.. make em fly+fan toss, nother fan toss and the x-ray.
x-ray always miss.. wtf am I doing wrong?

so im pretty sure kitanas damage and block stun lock down ability has been nerfed pretty hard. for example, the first combo in this vid does only 45% dmg now without jump in punch intro(49% with it i think?). Its good though because she used to be able to button mash and if the opponent let go of block to do the slightest quickest light jab, she would hit first...was rediculous....unfortunately, i play this game at work where i can't patch :(. if ur reading this mike...im talking about you :)

I just love your Kitana vids (she's my main fighter), they're awesome to look at. The combos are great and easy to pull off, with some practice of course. I've used some of your combos and they got some players stunned. I've also used your Jade & Mileena vids and they're just as good. I need to work on them a bit more, but with practice I'll get them down. Keep doing your thing and make some great vids for us fighting gamers.

its really hard to land combos like these against people online. I'm not saying its impossible but I faced some dude who was like 70 - 10 or something and he was nasty with Kitana and her combos.....word of advice against anybody playing any of these people, b4 they can get their combo started just jump over them. Most times people are still in the middle of their combo since you kinda have to push the buttons ahead of time leaving you your opportunity.....needless to say i beat him.

@ThunderThighs23814 The damage scaling if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure that a 20+ hit will no longer do anything around 50-60%, especially X-Ray ending. Being that I have not played against an advanced Kitana (and these combos seem viable to perform in competitive play) I have never seen anything of the sort, in length or damage. I do know 100% that her X-Ray will scale down to 10% if deep enough, but as far as the others, I'm not 100%. However, I think something is off, no disrespect.

@ThunderThighs23814 The combo at 1.57 with the ground fan loop either is no longer, or will no longer be possible. My first post was a mis-post. It should have read WILL BE. That is a bug. Now as far as the others, man, they may be left alone. The damage just seems extreme, but if it's legit, then congrats to persona for finding. I will have to reference this video (with his credit of course) to the forums at TYM. Definitely worth discussing these monsters.

Great kombo videos. Through your vids, you can see the biggest differences between the female ninjas, the "PowerPuff Girls" as some people call them. One has very limited kombo variation, and relies on the corners to do a lot of her bigger kombos, but has a lot of damage output [Jade]. One has a lot of kombo variation, but her damage output sucks [Mileena]. And the last has the best of both worlds: kombo variation and damage output [Kitana]. Hopefully Skarlett's more like Kitana than the others.
