  • How do you use your sound once you have saved and encoded it ? mines doesn't show in the list when i look for my sampled sound ... and the manual doesn't explain this either

  • @C4INED

Maybe that's because you have to encode it first and save after. Then it should appear in the samples list at the right place.

  • @Deweak Ok thanks i will try again , i have also set up the firewire and usb connection so a tutorial on how to import files as samples and play them back in keys etc would be much appreciated it may sound like i cant be bothered reading the manual but honestly i cant find a part in the manual that tells you how to play the samples back and get them in tone list to select etc , any help much appreciated !

  • @Deweak thanks man , been using my v synth for a while now !!! incredible piece of equipment just limitless equipment this synth really does open a massive door ! , cheers man thanks for your support !

  • That is why you buy other boards for other uses.

The V-synth GT is powerful for vocal stuff and stoutsounds has been making

sounds with it Cheap prices too.

  • Great machine. I going to use one with a Fantom G8 to add to more fun and

    creative sound design.

  • @KZ4USA

    Good choice !

  • Awesome!

I've owned my V-Synth GT since Xmas 08 and i've still have not scratched the surface. I'm using stock patches.

Would you put out more tutorial videos on how to program with your narrative or explaining each sequence

  • Great Video!!!

  • Can u post a demonstration of what this board cab do with a vinyl sample mangled into something crazy like a pad or arp or craziness?

  • Deweak, this is amazing. The range of sonic possibilities on the V-synth GT are endless! Congrats and thanks for persuading me to get one too!

  • Just awesome in every way. Even with no noticeable signal processing (reverb), and through speakers, it still sounds impressive.

On future videos can you go from the mixer right into your camera for stereo sound? YouTube can do stereo, and I'd love to hear your work presented as best possible, it deserves it. Try this YouTube video to hear: watch?v=ZHQdzSfRikU&feature=related

  • Variphrase editing is nothing short of incredible.

  • damn this thing is def. drool worthy all the way.

  • wow

  • it's perfect....

  • I've just bought the XT version, and I think it is fantastic! I already have the VP9000 and the VariOS, but this machine is something else altogether! It's so intuitive to use, and a real doddle to get good and original sounds quickly. Your demo shows just how quickly and easily one can take a sampled sound and create something good with it. This machine is up there with the other Roland greats, like the JP8 and the TB303!

  • @leslawrenson I had also the VP 9000 before I got my XT... these machines are sooo awesome for intuitive creating of unique sounds! And I am very happy that Roland has developed the engine and features from the VP 9000 so well!

  • that's an organ on the bottom tier?

    anyone with an organ-synth(s)above setup

is cool in my book. ha ha!

  • This machine it's Fantastic!!! i Don't believe it! ... 2500 $ .. :(

  • Wow, how cool is this?

  • amazing stuff

  • Yep, I wanted to show that V-Synths are more than presets machines. You can easily and quickly make your own sounds. Comments about polyphony or multitimbrality are not fair : this machine is an amazing sound design tool :-)

  • Multitimbrality isnt all that important in a sample based synth as far as i am concerned. you can always just layer wave files externally if you want to. tons of them. What kinda polyphony is there on this anyways? Best demo of the V-Synth on the tube btw, cheers :)

  • Thanks :-)

Theorical polyphony is 28 voices. But it depends on the oscillator type, e.g. supersaw based patches need need more polyphony than simple waveforms.

  • Aah right. Well thats not bad. If you're playing piano's with a sustain pedal pressed, it does suck, but for anything else it's no biggie :)

  • Yes, but V-Synths are not the right machines for piano playing (no piano multisamples except the JD-800's one, hum hum... )

If you use the GT for what it does well, it's a great piece of gear. But not a workstation !

  • @Deweak I agree. And i'm sure you know most people don't use their workstations to full capacity either. They are mainly using them for pianos, organs and electric keys.

  • on workstations polyphony is around 100+ but you have to use all same reverb, chorus, fx on every patch which is not applicable mostly.

this is a patch mode machine, polyphony above 10/patch should be enough.

you videos are more descriptive than official roland videos.
