  • always knew timbaland and all that USA gang were a bunch of criminals.

  • what language is that, taught swedish, but must be some extraterrestial language

  • @kyy656 norwegian

  • @IceColdYeti just fooling, I know :D

  • timbo grab a crap sample and transform it on a hit, few people have the knowledge to do it

  • @fbbpoa He didn't transform it, he didn't do anything with it. He took a track, and put it in the song and played as a background melody. You clearly don't know anything about music production.

  • The original c64 artists should get royalty, so much robbing from the demo scene. Who remembers zombie nation - kernkraft 400, That was ripped straight from the game lazy jones.

  • They are using SID Station.

  • song sucks ass, so does timberlands version, which is the same, but i agree with the bald guy, he shouldn\t have stole it that asshole

  • Everyone hating suck a dick 1 Timberland is a GENIOUS. 2 the stupid c64 tune sound like an arcade game who's to say the creators of the original didnt borrow the sound elsewhere smh such attention seekers.

  • @jwings84 you are obviously fucking retarded. please go fucking kill yourself, you're a disgrace to humanity.

  • HAH! to the retards below me.

Every work is copywritten when created, you don't have to take it to an office.

Saying its fair because you claim that they have distributed pirated copies of works is stupid on two counts, first...PROVE IT! Second pirating is one thing, pirating and claiming its yours is something completely different.

SAMPLING DOES NOT MEAN YOU COPY THE ENTIRE MELODY!

  • @liquid3600 Well they aren't honored and they don't have to be humble because it is their regardless of how anyone else feels about it. Timbaland didn't make a hit out of it so much as their music made Timbaland able to make a hit. Timbaland needed them, they didn't need Timbaland, now Timbaland needs to pay up.

  • @ATENakaATON Timbaland has made a ton of hits prior to and since sampling this. Are you suggesting these Commodore 64 music programmers from 20 years ago are the reason Timbaland is rich and famous?

  • @liquid3600 lol What are you a fucking retard or something? I'm referring to one song, not Timbalands career, but the fact is Timbaland needs the music of others, his career isn't built on musical talent, it's built on a hustle. There are thousands of people out there producing sampled beats as good and some better than Timbalands best, but they don't know the hustle. I commend Timbaland as a business man, but he's a shitty musician and he knows it, but he also doesn't care.

  • @ATENakaATON Sounds like you're jelly.

  • @liquid3600 not sure what 'jelly' means but if it means jealous, I'm not, I'm just being honest. I was entirely factual, and I congratulate Timbaland on his success, but not his "music".

  • @ATENakaATON I agree with you 100 percent on that, every producer who sample music from someone else should give credit, there is a lot of big name producer who also sample a lot of music and put effects and filtering and try to cover up the samples, and a lot of them got away with it, it is time for them to pay

  • You STUPID FUCKS!!!!! never heard of sampling???? most of Timbaland's earlier work is sampled... most hiphop is sampled... better yet most 'hiphop' that isn't sampled sounds like shit

  • F 'em, it they didn't have it copywritten, shame on them.

  • why not get into a lawsuit? go for it.

  • Haha, that wont happend to me, i create my own melodies instead of stealing them. That makes an producer talented or not.

  • I speak english as do most of the comment ppl. so WHAT THE FUCK? Fucking the rest of the world is irrelivent.

  • What is the name of that sequencer those guys are using? I own a C64 and would like to get that.

  • Pffewww :-/

  • Like if you are lovin chiptunes in 2012!

  • 4:43 Timbaland fuck this hore.

  • w utworze - do it to wziety jest sampel z gry flimbos quest gdzie chlopiec lapie monety :)) ewidentnie ten dzwiek powtarzajacy sie to dzwiek monet youtube.com/watch?v=b5ULJXPK2Ms&feature=related i 0:32 sec. , lub 0:44 sec check this ;))))

  • The C64 is a nice machine to play about with if you want to create music, even by todays standards..Good grief I miss the 8 bit era. BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK NOW!!!! and Timbaland has nicked this bloke's music..pay him!!!

  • lol!!!!! this fool has no more time on his hands than to dig for samples timbo used? get a effin life man geez!!

  • @blackomenmuzik and you are 15 right?

  • Fuck mainstream, go true 8-bit electro :)

  • Timbaland is not being nice :( Here's his comment on the stealing from this tune... /watch?v=JTvY3wZrHrQ

  • SO whats new. Stealing is the way to the top

  • Comment removed

  • wow its called sampling, if the ppl who made that thought to make a hit record from it theyd be rich too

  • who the fuck is timbaland?

  • lol at the wide range of absurd comments here

  • u Mean SAMPLED! Do u know how many sounds Timbaland has? Why would he need to steal anything. Hes made 1000's of hits and they dont sound the same!

  • @SuperiorWare

    just watch this: /watch?v=KZiTJd5TJRk

  • @SuperiorWare sure! and i am ELVIS! did the second ( 2nd ) cell in your brain fart or something?! # tulling #

  • Don't all of you know old a C64 is, really it's like 20+ years old far as copyright laws they're only good for 10 years then they will have to be renewed unless the artist dies then it becomes public domain so if these Finnish dudes didn't renew the copyright then oh well to bad so sad.

  • @bigman72511 Not true. NCB (Nordisk Copyright Bureau for the nordic contries, DK/SE/NO/FI) states that the person writing a new piece of music, automatically gets the copyright, and it expires no sooner than 70 years after the death of the author. It doesn't have to get renewed every x year.

  • @Psylicium That's Norwegian law, this is the states,American law states:If a person covers a song and does not gain a substantial amount of money or attention, there is not liability. Here in this country you must go though the library of congress, which it must be renew every10 years,If the author dies then its up to the author's nearest Kin or company to renew the rights,I.E Frankie Lymon,He had 3 wives and was worth10 million dollars, but they got nothing because the rights expired when he died

  • @bigman72511 I would like to think that going through the library of congress would only apply to such authors who are either born or are registered citizens of the good old US of A. and would like to think that your country would abide by another's law if it applied..Is that fair?

  • @bigman72511 ! OK that was not smart, only an amoeba could really post anything like that...

  • Most overrated producer ever!!!

  • timbo u a fuckin teef

  • u guys stop hating...tht nigga took ur stupid video game sounding shit and mad a hit out of it....STOP CRYING.

  • @thegdfella4500

lol. making money with others talent? fuck his hit, then. ;)

  • @thegdfella4500 no need to use the n word bro..it's not cool:)

  • @Squiddy200

no need to be a bitch either

  • 0:15 jesus, man- seizure much?

  • Comment removed

  • The thing is this: I think Timbaland's song is pretty cool. If he would have called it a cover song and given credit, it would have been awesome. Puff daddy gives credit, or at least clears the use with the song owner.

  • if u want the subtitles on just click the cc button on bottom of the screen

  • Wow.. You all act like making a 1/64 arp out of a soft square wave plus adding a slight chorus, little flanger, and reverb is either hard, impossible, or stealing.. You listen close there are obvious parts missing from his track and theirs. Otherwise how else would they lose?

  • I understand everthing of what they say beacuse they speak Norwegian, and I'm Swedish :)

    Scandinavia/Skandinavia/Skandinavien FTW <3

  • lol so stupid....like it was why the music was so successful...

only because of a background sound....lol

  • @brunobruno911 It wasn't background. Timbaland used the entire melody. Without that C64 track, timbalands song would just be drums. He is untalented at creating melodies so he takes them from others. Repeatedly. And if the source is obscure enough, he can get away with it. Pretty fucked up I think.

  • @datasoluble Man, I agree, but you can't win with that. This artist is like a woman, you can't win with him :)

  • @OBSysteme /watch?v=MrRkOkL1rZk

look at the end of this video. Seems like it's a pretty natural thing for him.

  • @yatah HA! Timbaland = a prodigy/genius! well trigring some samples from NI Kontakt is really state of THY Art! the man is just ridiculously NUMB between his ears...Bag of shit

  • I'm so sad my dad sold our commodore many years ago...

It's so hard do find a good priced one (or even the SID chip) nowadays in my country :(

  • I remember there being a subtitled version of this video some years ago, does anyone know where it is? ;)

  • @ 1:33 do i heat Last Ninja2? :D Last ninja series had some epic music ^^

Btw MadTracker is a great program xD

  • I wouldn't have ever heard of these dorks or their music if not for Timbaland. They should pay him.

  • @PancakeRecipes Timbaland wouldn't even be known if he didn't steel from anywhere. There's alot of cases where Timbaland steels other peoples work. He's a thief, nothing more.

  • @dahDougieBoy

Nothing more??? lol he makes a lot of beats without samples that sound great. Youyr really f-ing ignorent if you really think all he does is "steals". What does that even mean? Sampling isn't stealing just like playing a cover song isn't stealing. It's music and art.

  • @PancakeRecipes If you record a cover song you pay royalties. If you sample a kick or snare you may get away from royalty fees, but Timbaland doesn't do that. He doesn't sample a beat or loop. He takes whole songs and just slaps a kick and a snare on top of it and refuses to pay any royalties or even give any credits at all. What do you think would happen if I took a Timbaland song and did the same? He would sue my ass off! He's a total fake.

  • @dahDougieBoy

"He doesn't sample a beat or loop. He takes whole songs and just slaps a kick and a snare on top of it and refuses to pay any royalties or even give any credits at all."

That is straight up bullshit, plain and simple. I have been to his studio and he definitely makes real music all the time. Most of it without samples. Honestly if your gonna say ridiculousness things like that that have no basis in reality then you prob shouldn't be arguing about this.

  • @PancakeRecipes Does he steal or not? Where do you set the line for stealing? Has he or hasn't he ripped the whole tune from C64 and earned A LOT of money on it without even giving credit to the original creators? Can I do the same with his version you think without getting sued? He's a hack and you know it. Besides, unless he's using something like a Linndrum or TR of some kind he uses samples. But thats not the discussion, does he rip tunes or not? The evidence is pretty clear!

  • @dahDougieBoy

The way your describing it doesn't make any sense. He didn't just take an entire song. He sampled part of something, then added other stuff to it. And ended up with something different from the original.

  • @PancakeRecipes Seriously, he didn't just sample a small part of it. To sample something means sampling a kick that lasts for a couple of seconds, not a whole melody. This is what Timbaland did. And I ask you again, do you think I can rip the whole chorus of one of his songs and slap on some other instruments and earn money without giving him any royalties? I would have his posse of attorneys on my back right away. Try to be a little objective will you.

  • @dahDougieBoy

No your right, I agree that who ever he samples should have the right to get some money from him to use their music. He def should pay the artists he samples, but only if they want to get some money from it. I personally would get a kick out of him making a song with part of a song I made. I like the idea of hip-hop artist sampling my stuff. I don't believe in charging people to sample my music. I think art should be free myself.

  • @PancakeRecipes I would also be mighty proud if some big shot producer would sample and use my work, must have been a rush. Just think how much cooler those guys would feel if Timbaland would say a few words about them, like "I found this hidden gem by X and X bla bla bla". That would absolutely made their day and maybe helped their careers. And maybe given them a few $1000 each, he wouldn't even notice. Their work did help him generate thousands or millions (as a nr.1 hit & ring tone).

  • You gotta admit though...this beat would've been hidden in an old computer if it weren't for Timbaland's ear for music. And I'm pretty sure those guys who made that song got waaaay more publicity & work had it not been for Timbaland.

  • timberland u have to pay this guy. pay him, payyy him noooow.

  • @QB3R7 its ok for major labels to rip off the underdog but heaven forbid if an underdog samples a drum sound from an old record ;v

  • @ElasticMinds i'll think i would do some Beatles tomorrow... i mean the UK blokes just gather dust anyway!

  • @QB3R7 He did.. did you not listen?

  • @QB3R7 lol not the first time timbaland steals something

  • FLESHBRAIN _ SEPPO HURME from Finland is legendary !!!

  • DU ÄR SVENSK!

  • That's a commodore-128 that's direly missing some function keys. :) Note that the 128 series has an inferior "corrected" SID chip. The filters don't distort as well as the original SID chips in the original C64. Also, digital samples are played at a lower volume.

  • 4:30 What's name this music?

  • @RobertSuchy Sounds like a funky remix of Outrun or something... Try searching for Outrun on all HVSC tunes.

  • @jtopland Thank You for help. ;)

  • @jtopland Its definitely outrun.

  • @RobertSuchy

    Magical Sound Shower - OutRun

  • @hustletv lemmie fix. where?

  • @jtopland Exactly... plagiarism != sampling

You guys have a nice scene going on there!

  • @senhorlampada Samping = plagiarism if the original creator of the sample doesn't get shit for his work.

  • @yatah Exactly my point :)

If i'm not wrong, there is an amount of time that you can sample legally.

but the case is: Timbaland didn't sample. He copied the whole idea!

  • @hustletv You have to ask for permission when you sample somebody.

  • @hustletv Its actually called stealing when you don't give any credit to the original author.

  • Thanks for adding the subtitles for me too.

  • Listening to it is a real joy to my ears. It's a pity that there are no english subtitles attached so I could understand more than those few words words like "Janne Suni" and "Timbaland" ;)

  • @spavatch Here you go, mister. Subtitles added !:)

  • @jtopland - Outstanding! Thank you very very much :))

  • @jtopland The Transcript sucks because you can't see some of the sentences in full.

  • @SoundwaveRomania I guess it's a result of a quickly done translation. Guess it's better than nothing. Just pause the video to read the text.

  • @jtopland No, look at the text. Long sentences do not fit in the transcript window and as a result you can't read some of the words as they are missing.
